Takes place a bit after Httyd 2. Let's just pretend Hiccup and Astrid live with each other.

I watched as Hiccup and Toothless flew after the Red Death. It was horrifying watching him go, but he had to. A few moments later they flew into the clouds. There was no trace of them. Just a few purple blasts. Then without warning the Red Death crashed, and died.

There was no trace of Hiccup. Stoick spotted Toothless. "I'm so sorry" I heard him say. Then Toothless slowly unfolded his wings to reveal, Hiccup. Stoick immediately put his head to his chest. His shoulders slumped. He turned around with tears threatening to fall then motioned for me to come over. I ran up to them. Hiccup's pulse was failing. I looked over at Stoick with fear and he gave me a knowing look. I felt tears forming in my eyes as I looked back at the boy. Then, his eyes began to weakly open.

He turned to me and said "A-Astrid?" Stoick left leaving the two of us.

I took his hand in mine. "Hey Hiccup" I greeted softly.

"Astrid you look so beautiful" he said. I had tears in my eyes. I forced a smile. "I'm sorry" he said.

"For what? You brought peace with dragons, you defeated the Red Death, you saved entire the village Hiccup" I listed.

"I-I'm not gonna..." He began.

"No Hiccup please don't" I warned him.

"I'm not g-gonna make it, Astrid" he said. I let the tears fall. "Don't cry Astrid, please" he said sincerely.

I looked away and said "How can I not?! Hiccup I...." I started.

"Astrid" he said. I looked back at him. He took a sharp breath. "Astrid I-I love you" he whispered as tears now formed in his eyes.

I smiled and stroked his cheek softly. He smiled faintly as I leaned down and placed my lips to his. He kissed back lightly and I pulled away shortly.

"Goodbye, Astrid" He he told me before closing his eyes.

"No. No! Hiccup come back! Please!" I begged.

He was cold. There was no pulse. Everything just stopped. I just sat there and cried. Then I said three words I thought I would never say to him.

"I love you" I whispered.

I bolted up in my bed and started to cry. I hated that nightmare. This is the fourth time I've had it and it scares me every time. I felt a soothing hand on my back and a voice saying.

"Hey, hey it's ok Astrid. Was it the nightmare again?" He asked in a loving tone.

I just nodded as he pulled me to him. After a few minutes of crying into his shoulder he pulled me away and lifted my head to look at him.

"Hey look it's alright. See it's me. It's Hiccup" Hiccup said gesturing to himself. I smiled. He took his hand and caressed my cheeks using his thumbs to wipe away the tears. "I won't leave you, M'lady. You don't have to worry" he said soothingly. He kissed my head gently. "Come on let's go back to bed" he told me. I nodded and smiled. He wrapped an arm around my waist bringing me close and I rested my head on his shoulder. "Feel better?" He asked. I nodded and wrapped my arms around his middle.

"Thanks babe" I said.

He kissed my head and said "No problem, anything for M'lady." I giggled slightly at the nickname he had given me. "Good night Astrid" I heard him say.

"Good night Hiccup" I mumbled.
