The war with Drago and his Bewilderbeast was over. Toothless became the Alpha. Hiccup had just recently found his mom, but sadly lost his dad. Other than that, things seemed to be going pretty well. Valka walked up to Hiccup.

"Your father would be every bit as proud of you as I" Valka said to Hiccup.

"Thank you. I'm really glad your here mom" Hiccup replied.

"And here I'll stay" Valka added. She moved out of the way when Astrid came up Hiccup.

Valka POV

I backed away when when I noticed a blonde haired girl come up to my son. I wasn't quite sure who she was until Hiccup pulled her in for a kiss. She must be his girlfriend...

He chose well, they seem pretty close from what I've seen. We are so going to talk about this.

Astrid POV

"You ready?" Hiccup asked.

"Ready as I'll ever be" I replied.

The two of us were making our way over to Hiccup's mom Valka after finishing the Dragon race. Hiccup was super excited for me to meet his mom. But being honest, I'm extremely nervous. What if something goes wrong and she doesn't like me? Hiccup has assured me that she will, but you can't blame me for being worried. Right?

"Hey don't be nervous. You'll really like her and I'll bet she'll be excited to meet you" Hiccup assured me.

I gave him a small smile and a quick peck on the cheek. "If you say so" I responded.

He took my hand in his and we made our way to Mrs. Haddock.

"Mom?" Hiccup called.

"Hiccup there you are!" She grinned.

"Yeah, hey mom, there's someone if like you to meet" Hiccup said.

"Oh" Mrs. Haddock replied.

"Mom, this is Astrid Hofferson. My fiancé" Hiccup said.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Mrs. Haddock" I grinned as I extended my hand for a hand shake. She surprised me by giving me a hug instead.

"No need for formalities, Astrid. Just call me Valka" She instructed.

I hugged back and grinned. After a few moments we both released each other from the hug.

"You said you were a Hofferson correct?" Valka questioned.

"Yeah" Hiccup responded.

"I actually know your parents" She grinned.

"You do?" I asked.

"Yes I do. I actually remember watching you and Hiccup a few times when you very young" Valka replied.

"Wow" I said.

"Hiccup make sure you hold onto this one" Valka instructed.

"Don't worry, I will" Hiccup replied, while giving my hand a squeeze.

"I'd love to stay and talk more, really, but Gobber said hat he needed my help in the forge. We'll catch up later okay?" Valka said.

"Definitely" Hiccup beamed.

"You too Astrid" She added.

"Sounds great" I responded.

As Valka made her way to the forge Hiccup looked over at me.

"What?" I asked.

"Told you it would go well. My mom really likes you" Hiccup said to me.

"I guess you right" I admitted.

"Of course I am!" Hiccup smirked.

I punched his shoulder as he winced at the impact.
