Ok so this takes place around Riders of Berk. Just wanted to put it out there.

Hiccup POV

"I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it. I can't do it!" I said to myself.

Toothless gave me a look as if he was saying 'seriously Hiccup.'

"What? I mean it's not that easy!" I reasoned with him.

Toothless just rolled his eyes and looked the other way.

"What if she says no? What if she laughs at me? What if she doesn't feel the same? I mean.." I ranted.

Before I could continue Toothless whacked me over the head with his tail.

"Ow! Thanks bud I needed that" I told Toothless. I let out a sigh. "Well if I don't ask her now I mean when really. Tomorrow the riders are free and there is no training. I'm gonna do it now". I walked over to the Hofferson's house and knocked on the door. What if they're asleep? But the door opened to reveal a certain blonde haired Valkyrie. Astrid.

"Astrid. Hey Astrid. Hi Astrid. Um" I said as she let out a laugh.

"Hey Hiccup" Astrid greeted.

"Uh so listen I was wondering if you would uh wannagoonadate?" I asked hurriedly.

"Hiccup slow down" she instructed.

"Right, sorry" I responded. Come on Hiccup two minutes and you already messed up! "I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date with me?" I repeated. This time so that a person could actually understand what I was saying.

Astrid just stood there blankly. Great now I've made a fool of myself in front of my crush. But before I could say anything she hugged me tight. I hugged back still confused about what's going on. She let go of the hug.

"Hiccup I'd love to" Astrid said with a smile.

I let out a breath that I didn't know how long I was holding in. "So do you wanna go tomorrow night?" I asked.

"Perfect" She replied.

"Great so I'll pick you up here at around sunset" I grinned.

She gave me a kiss on the cheek, which made my heart do a somersault, before walking back inside. I was still a bit dazed and had a stupid grin plastered on my face.

Astrid POV

I was in my room undoing my braid thinking about what just happened.

"Yeah baby!" I heard a certain one-legged Haddock tell.

I couldn't help but smile. Tomorrow was gonna be the best day ever.
