(A/N: Hiccstrid Week. June 12th to June 18th. I have no idea how to write these so...help me?)

A smile appeared on Stoick's face as he saw his son and a certain blonde girl walk down the stairs from the Great Hall.

They were holding hands, smiling and laughing. The chief just couldn't help but smile because, it reminded him of one specific woman he loved way back.

Memories of him and his wife, Valka, appeared before his eyes and he couldn't help but laugh. So many great times they had together. Best friends since birth, getting together at fifteen and getting married just a few years after that.

Stoick never would've thought that he would get a son. Well, he did think about it and, he could admit that he wanted Hiccup to be just like him when he would grow up. But, after he had befriended a Night Fury and welcomed the village into a new world, he let go of the thought of wanting to raise Hiccup to be just like him.

He was glad he didn't.

He had accepted his son even during the fight with the massive queen dragon, - the Red Death - and, he knew he made the right choice when he slowly saw his son grow up.

He did have thoughts and he did jump to conclusions from time to time because of that one girl and, he was right at the end.

Now, his son being twenty years old, he couldn't be happier for them.

One thing he had mocked them about, - or, at least Astrid - was to call her, "Future Daughter-In-Law," during dragon races. Of course, he hadn't seen her face but, Astrid had blushed and smiled in happiness later on.

If she had to be honest, she could've married Hiccup at any age because, she knew she loved him even when they were small.

When they first started dating, she wasn't sure if they would last. Neither was he. But, weeks turned into months and months turned into years and...five years later, there they were, still happily together and being as goofy and funny as ever.

Stoick always smiled when he saw them.

He secretly wanted them to get married and make a bunch of grandkids just for the heck of it.

But, the reason to why he smiled every time he saw them...they were happy. And, he knew that Hiccup had proposal in mind. He didn't know when but, he had talked to his son about considering in settling down before getting too old for kids and Hiccup had just nodded and said, "I know, dad. But, it's too early. I do have a proposal in mind at least so don't worry..."

Having heard that from his son, he knew that everything would be fine.
