Toothless yawned and stretched, his eyes slowly cracking open.

The sun was shining into the room he slept in along with his rider and Astrid. The couple had recently gotten married and, of course, Toothless stayed.

The dragon slowly stood and walked away from the stone slab he always sleeps on. Toothless quietly made his way over to the couple sleeping soundly in the bed and sniffled at them, blowing a little air out of his nostrils.

He waited.

After a while of them not responding, he huffed and turned, walking downstairs.

Morning flight had to wait.

The Night Fury laid down by the fireplace and curled up, going back to sleep.

The last couple of days had been hectic. Drago's attach had been a few months ago and the village finally looked like it did before he and the Bewilderbeast arrived.

Everything was normal.

However, a wedding had taken place not too long ago and the island was still a mess. Of course, the wedding was for Hiccup and Astrid and, being the chief meant a huge party.

HUGE.

MASSIVE.

ENORMOUS.

Being the chief and having a wedding also meant the party going on for days, if not weeks. Hiccup still didn't know why it had to last that long. Wedding one day, normal day the next day.

That's what he wanted, at least. But, that's one thing he couldn't decide. It was tradition for a chiefs wedding to last days.

Something Astrid wasn't very fond of. She'd rather stay in with her husband all day, not doing anything or taking a long flight. Or possibly train.

Hiccup suddenly groaned. Taking a deep breath, he yawned and opened his eyes.

However, due to the sun shining straight onto their house, he had to squint his eyes to get used to the light.

Something moved beside him and he turned his head, smiling. Astrid was laying beside him, her bare back completely visible except for where her breast bindings were wrapping around her.

He slowly turned and slipped an arm under her head before wrapping the other one over her arm and hugging her all the while they still laid on their sides.

Astrid hummed and placed a hand on the back of his wrist, her thumb moving over his skin.

She turned her head slightly and looked at him with half lidded eyes. Hiccup smiled, his eyes closed and his mouth, pressed to the skin between her jaw and her neck.

He didn't need to see her to know that she was smiling. He felt it.

Her happiness rubbed off on him.

"M'lady," Hiccup whispered into her neck, smiling. Pressing a small kiss there, he pulled away from her and leaned over her, looking down at her.

Astrid laughed softly and lifted a hand, putting it on his cheek and caressing it with her thumb.

Hiccup leaned down to kiss her but Astrid pushed him always. "No, I have morning breath."

Hiccup huffed with smile. "So? I do too," He said and leaned down, placing his lips on hers for a small kiss.

After pulling away, he laid down beside her and stared up at the ceiling.

Astrid sighed.

"Another day," She said, looking over at him. "Yeah. Another day..." Astrid smiled and turned to her side, supporting her head with her hand, resting on her elbow. "So..."

Hiccup looked at her. "So?"

"So...what's for today, chief?"

"Chief? Oh, please. Have you seen me?"

"Yes. I have indeed seen you and it's a very pleasant view, might I add," She mocked and say up, laughing. Looking at the slab, the expected a sleeping Night Fury but, nothing.

"Ha, ha, ha, so funny."

"Babe? Where's Toothless?" She asked, looking at the rock slab before looking at him and then looking back at where Toothless usually slept.

Hiccup swiftly sat up and looked around. "I don't know..." He whispered before taking a deep breath. "Toothless," He said, his voice raised.

There was a thump downstairs before a black creature bounded up the stairs and rushed into the room, jumping onto the bed.

Toothless carefully put his legs where the human limbs weren't occupying the place and then licked both Hiccup and Astrid.

"Toothless!"
