Gentle Breeze (Day 6)
(A/N: Prompt: Alone, us two, kissing in the gentle breeze.)
The setting sun was softly casting its orange and light, burgundy color over the skies as it slowly made its way down to end the day.
Another day of great progress. The ice was almost gone from the village, most of which had either been burned down, - under Astrid and Stormfly's command since Deadly Nadder Fire burned anything and everything - or been cut up into pieces to freeze food.
The houses which had been blasted down by Drago's evil Bewilderbeast were slowly being built up and the village slowly started looking like it did before all the disaster happened.
After the tragedy of loosing their past Chief, -Stoick The Vast who had saved his son from his own dragon's deadly fire.
Hiccup blamed himself.
It had been about a month since then and sure, he knew that he should blame himself because he had one special blonde girl to remind him. She stood very close to his heart and he was grateful for having her.
But, he still blamed himself from time to time when the feelings struck him. Sometimes, it was at random times it did it. Times when he was with people and the feelings got him, they cheered him up but, when they came when he sat alone in the forge, they were the worst.
He felt useless right then and there.
No matter how many times that had happened, Astrid had always showed up when he needed her. As if she knew what was going on with him.
However, not only Hiccup felt down from time to time. Valka, Hiccup's long lost mother herself had been feeling down every once in a while.
Stoick's Death has struck her hard too. Even if it had gotten Hiccup worse. He had been with him ever since she was taken away twenty years prior. He had been raised by his father. And, she wasn't there for twenty years.
She got to meet her husband after twenty years of him thinking she had been dead, got to dance with him and then he was taken away from her.
For good.
She still felt his presence with her though. And, she could feel his large arms wrap around her tiny frame from time to time.
Valka watched as her son slowly descended from the sky after a night patrol with Toothless, landing behind Astrid.
She exhaled deeply and closed her eyes, wrapping her arms around herself as if she would be holding on to him as he was holding her. "I miss you," she breathed out.

"Good evening, M'lady," Hiccup said with s small smile on his lips as he got down from Toothless. Astrid turned around to look at him and she smiled. Toothless grumbled and trotted over to Stormfly who was preening herself.
She squawked at him and smiled in her dragon-y way.
"Good evening to you too, Chief," Astrid said softly as Hiccup placed his hands on her waist, holding her.
Her hands landed on his chest and she moved her thumb over the fine but beaten leather, - because of all his stupid stunts and maneuvers.
"How's my General doing this beautiful evening?" He asked, gazing into her eyes and his hands slowly moved to wrap around her, pulling her closer. "Great, thank you," She started and placed a hand on his chin, her fingers running over his slight stubble and lips. "And how are you doing, babe?"
"Better now that I'm with you."
"Cheesy."
He chuckled at her and leaned in slightly but not far enough to kiss her. Astrid looked at him through half lidded eyes, her thick lashes getting in the way to her beautiful blue eyes.
"Astrid," Hiccup whispered to her, his breath tickling her face. She smiled at him and hummed, her arms wrapping around his back, under his arms.
She pulled him closer and gazed deeply into those forest-emerald green eyes of his.
Greener than any grass she'd ever seen.
He didn't say anything after she hummed. He just gazed at her, his eyes trailing from her eyes to her lips and then back to her eyes again.
She chuckled and leaned in slightly, urging him to kiss her. There was something special about him kissing her instead of her kissing him.
It was something indescribable.
His eyes shut and he pulled her against him, his lips pressing against hers in a passionate kiss. She melted in his arms and kissed back, letting her walls collapse to the only person that could make her feel like this.
She let down her guard fully to the only person that deserved it. She let her walls collapse because of him. She stopped thinking and let him lead the way. She trusted him with everything she had in her. She loved him endlessly and would always do it.
She did promise him that.
Hiccup pulled back and looked at her, pulling his arms away from her waist to put his hands on her cheeks.
He kept looking into her eyes, his own eyes shimmering as he licked his lips, still tasting her in them.
Letting out a content sigh, his lips turned upwards into a smile. "What?" She breathed out, hands on his waist.
"I can't believe we're actually getting married in two weeks," He said quietly, his voice barely above a whisper. Astrid laughed and pulled her hands away from him, placing them on his wrists and pulling his hands away from her face.
She slid her hands into his, intertwining her fingers with his. "Well, we are. You better start getting used to having me around more," She mocked him.
"I wouldn't mind that. But, it's you who has to wake up to all this...raw Vikingness every morning," Hiccup said, a smirk on his face as he gestured to himself after pulling his hands away from hers.
"I wouldn't mind that one bit, you softie."
"Softie? Are you serious?" Hiccup asked, his voice laced with playfulness through the seriousness.
"Yep. Big baby," She said and laughed, looking at him as he pouted at her, showing her a sad face.
He shook his head at her, pulling her into his arms and kissing her. Astrid's eyes widened but she melted into the kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck, grabbing a fistful of his hair.
"Mmmm," She murmured into the kiss and they pulled away. "I could get used to all of this, M'lady," Hiccup said and started to run his hand up and down her back.
"Why?"
"Because it's us. It's you. And me. And, that makes both of us, one. Remember? There will always be a Hiccup and Astrid. Always. I wasn't lying and I'll never lie to you. I promise you that, my beautiful soon to be wife. Devine beauty," Hiccup whispered the last two words before kissing her forehead.
"However," He started and pulled back, looking at her. Astrid smiled at him. "Right now, all I want is to enjoy this..." he trailed off to press a small kiss to her lips.
"Alone, us two, kissing in the gentle breeze."
(A/N: Because you have to have at least one RTTE sentence when there's Hiccstrid going on.)
