"Astrid and Stormfly, you lead the Nadders to burn down some of the ice while Magnus, Sven, Agnar, Eret, Snotlout, Arvid and Ragnar hack up some of the ice to use later for freezing food," Hiccup ordered as he pointed to the people and then to the huge ice pieces jutting out.

Said man nodded and grabbed their axes and pickaxes, slowly starting to hack away at the ice.

They would be great for freezing the left over fish and chicken so it wouldn't go bad.

Astrid smiled, nodding too as she patted Stormfly's neck. She was just about to take off before Hiccup stopped her.

"Astrid?"

She looked at him. "Yes, Chief?" She asked with a smile and watched as he strode over to her, petting Stormfly while placing a hand on her boot.

"I'm glad you're okay," He said and looked up at her, his forest green eyes shining. Astrid sighed and pulled her foot out from under his hand, throwing her leg over her dragons back and getting down from her.

She walked around the blue dragon, giving her a good scratch on the head before stopping in front of Hiccup.

Astrid smiled, her eyes sad and tears glistening in them. She raised her arms and put her hands on his cheeks, her thumbs running over his cheeks.

Hiccup's hands landed on her waist and he held here there, his fingers posting into her skin but she didn't care. He was close and if he wanted to hold her tighter to know that she was there, she wouldn't complain.

"No. I should be glad you're okay. I am glad you're okay," She whispered to him, ocean blue eyes gazing into forest green ones.

He didn't say anything. He hold held her tighter. "I don't know what I would've done if your...dad wouldn't have saved you. I know it's hurts, babe, but, you have your mom and you have the others and you have me. You'll always have me," Astrid said softly, her forehead leaned against his.

Hiccup sobbed once and she pulled back her hands from his cheeks, wrapping her arms around his neck tightly. Hiccup buried his head into her fur hood and neck, wrapping his arms tightly around her waist and back, pulling her incredibly close.

Even through the thick armor, she felt his heart beat under hers and she smiled, turning her head to press her nose into his hair.

"I'll always be with you. No matter what happens. I promise you that," She whispered into his head and felt him nod. She pulled back her head from him and he did the same.

She looked at him.

For a while, they didn't speak. They were just listening to the sounds around them and Toothless' roars and grumbles while talking to other dragons.

Hiccup broke the eye contact and looked at his best friend who was standing proudly with dragons standing before him.

"What are you thinking about?" Astrid asked while looking at Toothless too. "He's one of a kind," Hiccup said and turned towards her. She laughed. "Of course he is. He's a Night Fury. And, you don't see a handsome man riding a Night Fury everyday, you know."

Hiccup raised an eyebrow at her. "Handsome, huh?" He mocked, leaning in slightly. "Tell me more."

She laughed.

"Well, you don't see a handsome man flying around in a Night Fury, doing crazy stunts and maneuvers while also being a leader for friends and a Chief for an island."

Hiccup laughed. "True," He said and looked back at Toothless. "I'm going to miss him. He'll be busy-"

"Babe, he's your best friend. He's going to spend just as much time with you now as he did before. He's the Alpha and you're the Chief. Two huge roles for two different species. We're Vikings and they're dragons but somehow, they're just like us and we're just like them," She said, pulling away from him when she felt Stormfly nudging her shoulder.

Hiccup smiled at her and was just about to speak before she interrupted him. "Plus, it's friendship above all for you two, isn't it?"

"It is," Hiccup started and placed a hand on her waist. "And it's communication and love above all for us," He said before pulling her against him, pressing his lips to hers.
