"So you're saying there is something wrong?" I asked Astrid.

Astrid invited me into her house.

"I'm not sure. But Hiccup, this is serious. She might have been affected by a disease or something. Or maybe a major problem. She's like, a sister to me now, Hicc." She said walking to different directions.

Boy, was I dizzy just looking at her roam around while talking.

"Just... Just calm down. It will be fine. Merida is a strong girl. Uhh-- I mean... YOU are stronger than her, to be exact." I said sheepishly.

A loud sound was then heard.

"I'll get it." I said while running towards the door.

Once I opened it, I gasped loudly.

A girl. Her clothes are ragged. She is barefoot.Wild hair speeding to different directions. It's MERIDA.

"GAAH!! You--"

"Wheeree's As-Asttriid?" She said, almost losing the words she's saying.

Suddenly, I heard a loud thump from behind. Astrid already dropped her tray of cookies and hesitantly ran towards Merida.

"Merida!! Mer, what happened?!?" She yelled, hugging Merida tight.

But then, Merida escaped from Astrid's grip and sat on the floor.

"Where am I?! What are you doing to me?!?" She then screamed.

Astrid was then dumbfounded. I slowly walked to Merida and kneeled.

"I am Hiccup. And that one, is Astrid. W-we are your friends, Merida." I told her.

Then she saw a nearby figurine and grabbed it. She started to chew on it.

"Whoa whoa WHOA, there!! Uhh, Merida, that is not food." I uneasily said.

I heard a sniffle behind me. Just then, I saw Astrid crying.

"Hiccup, Aunt Eleanor just called. She said that Merida went missing and she saw her laptop with "signs of Alzheimer's Disease" on it. H-Hiccup. I--I "

"Shhh... She'll be fine. She will be fine." I embraced her.

"DON'T YOU SEE HICCUP?!? ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE CANNOT BE CURED!!" She yelled.

My eyes widened. No... She will... She will be gone.

Astrid called Merida's parents to bring her and check her up at the laboratory.

"Don't worry. I'm sure it's not that." I assured Astrid.

Her eyes are still puffy from crying.

She really did care for her.

"Hiccup, Astrid, we thank you for all you've done for our daughter. But we are in deep sorrow... That-- [starts to cry] that she really has that disease." Eleanor told us.

Then a big man came out behind her. "What's your name?" He asked Astrid.

"I am Astrid, sir. Astrid Hofferson."

The man's eyes bulged out when he heard the name Hofferson.

"Are you... The niece of Finn Hofferson, owner of the airport?" He asked.

"Y-yes, sir. Why?" Astrid asked.

"Are you, by any chance... Uhm, adopted?"

"No, sir. I have real parents, Ingrid and Robert Hofferson."

But then, I left them for personal talk.

*RING*

H: Yeah bro??

T: Duuuude. Science class was a bomb today. Why are you, Astrid and Merida not here? Genevieve slipped and spilled orange juice on herself!! We took pics of her and posted it on Instagram!

H: Tuff, not now. We are at Dr. Clements Provincial Hospital right now. Mer got Alzheimer's Disease.

T: Whoa. Sorry bro. But that's NOT cool. I hope she gets well soon. Make sure she doesn't get bitten by mosquitoes again!!

H: [-_-] Dude, dengue is different from Alzheimer's Disease. This one doesn't have a cure. And it will mean her life.

T: Stop it doofus! Why is there a push pin on my butt?!?

I didn't put any push pins on your stinky butt! Fishlegs must've rolled over your skull again. [mumbles] And your brain got squished.

H: Uhh... Tuff? Are you and Ruffnut having an argument again?

T: [rumbles in the background] Shut up or I'll kill your teddy bear!

Noooo!! Macey!

H: Nevermind...

*END CALL*

After a few seconds, I heard MORE sobbing at the other side of the room.

'I'm so sorry... I shouldn't have left the two of you alone.'
