I woke up in the morning and the first thing that come to my head is pain.
I find out that I have fallen asleep on my left side.
I slowly sat up and rubbed my right cheek with my good hand.
It still hurt. I got up from bed and walked over to my mirror.
I have a big red bruise over my left cheek, stretching from my ear to my lover lip.
'Well that is gonna leave a mark isn't it?' I thought to myself.
I walked over to my phone and picked it up.
I have an old Nokia. Not the best phone but I can call 3 times at day and send 5 text messages.
My dads rule. He always complain of how much I cost to have.
Now I see what have woken me up.
A text massage.
I picked the phone up and open up the message, feeling existing. I never got any text messages.
A smile spread across my face when I saw that is was from Astrid.
She wrote:

'Hi Hiccup. I found your number on Eniro last night. I was wondering if we could do something today. My uncle is not home so I have nothing to do.
Love Astrid.'

My smile grew bigger until a pain spread across my left cheek.
'I can't show her this...' I thought.
It's so unfair. I want to meet Astrid. I do! But I can't show her this.
I decided to lie, not only for me but for her to. I don't want her to overreact.
I wrote back.

'Astrid, I am sorry I can't hang out today. I am going shopping with my dad.
Another day, I promise.
Hiccup.'

'I hope she buys it.' I thought.
I feel so bad about this but my father wouldn't have allowed it anyway.

I walk to the bathroom to take a shower, but I haven't even put my foot on the bathroom floor before a voice broke the quiet.
"Hiccup."
I turn around to see my father stand in the stairwell.
"Dad?" I say, careful to not made my father angry like last night.
"I got a call from school. Did you broke your arm on purpose?"
I could feel my blood run cold. Why do everyone thinks that?
"No." I say. "No I didn't."
"Than why do your teacher Gobber say that?"
It takes all my self control to not scream at him.
"I didn't. I don't know why everybody believes that."
My father furrow his brow but didn't ask anymore.
"You go and do the dishes. I am going to go shopping for the week." He said and walked down the stairs.
I simply nodded and knew I could forgot my shower today.
