° kali is a pure black doberman and just her very presence is enough to intimidate most . her breed is notoriously known for being dangerous and aggressive and her colouring as well as her dark brown eyes don't help much with her case . other than that , she doesn't stand out that much from other dobermans and is pretty normal

° she has a a scar on her right flank that despite having already recovered a while ago , the fur on it hasn't really grown back fully so it's sort of like a weird dent in her fur

WRITTEN
° kali when you first meet her is naturally on the more reserved side , closed off and withdrawn from most . a product of her circumstances , kali is used to others fearing her and while once it was of use to her, now it's nothing more than an annoyance or a source of guilt . it's made her keep her distance as well as her own fear of hurting others , especially dogs smaller than her . yet despite her own reserved traits , she's a gentle soul who instinctively just wants to look after others and is a bit too soft for her own good . a gentle giant essentially .
° it's because of her empathetic nature that she chose to leave the gang she used to be in . it's explained more in her backstory ! but kali was born into the dark side of society and was exposed to such crimes from a young age . because of her own parents as well as those around her , she learnt to be compliant to what was asked of her and was pretty much the most well trained and obedient dog you could ask for . she carried her tasks out well and tried to ignore what it really meant to be in a gang after all , they were pretty much her family . now that she's left , she's a lot more independent and not so compliant as she was before .

luciel is the only dog she's kept in contact with since she's left the group . they were playmates as pups and even when she left the gang , the only one she could trust was the shepherd . he knows her whereabouts of course and if any members wander close to her new area , he'd send her a letter to warn her .

° her old gang , she did up and leave them after all

LIFE

BACKSTORY
° kali was born into the gang " noir " so her life's pretty much revolves around them , they were her family and despite the shady businesses they dealt with , they always had her back .  her role in the gang was usually as a runner , transporting illegal materials and collecting payment and because of her speed , she always did her job well . the higher ups liked her and constantly offered her promotions which she continuously denied until she was around three . it was then she was really exposed to what they did , hurting others directly and ruining their lives and it left a huge impact on her mentally . her breed and physique was built for speed and combat so she should be able to hold her own but she just emotionally couldn't , so after half a year ,  she couldn't take it and knew she had to leave . maybe it was naive to think that a gang was innocent but it was hard to picture them as anything but family so when she was faced with the hard truth , she couldn't see them the same way anymore so , she ran . it took planning of course and resisting the urge to leave a note and say good bye . the only one she could trust was luciel and it really pained her to leave her family behind , gangs were built on loyalty and camaraderie and to break it was to leave behind everything she had ever known , but she knew where her values lay . so she disappeared , moved a few states away and created a new identity for herself .
