Obanai lays on the grass quietly. The wind was brushing his face as he watches the clouds drift by. It had only been two days after the lockdown and no one had seen Shinobu, Mitsuri, nor Giyuu and Sabito. Course Obanai was worried expect he felt like something was.. Off. He never understood what felt off. Every time  he tried texting them, they never answer. Obanai didn't want to go to the shit place he calls "hell."

He wanted to see Scarlet though. His sister. With that in mind, Obanai gets up, brushes his clothes and starts walking the path to his home.

As he walks in front of the front door, he felt.. Sick.. He never understood why.. He stands in front of the door, still feeling the uneasy feeling. It'll be fine.. Obanai grabs keys from his pocket and unlocks the door. ..Don't worry.. Obanai puts his hand on the door handle and opens the front door. .. I'll see you again someday.. Obanai then shuts the door and heads to Scarlet's room. ..I'm sorry I never told you.. He knocks on Scarlet's door, hoping she'll answer. ..I'm sorry I failed to protect you.. Obanai tries opening Scarlet's door, which to his surprise, opens easily.

I'm sorry..

That's when Obanai saw it. His heart stopped and he felt as if he just drowned. His sister.. Was..

Dear whoever is reading this,

It'll be fine.. Don't worry.. I'll see you again someday.. I'm sorry I never told you.. I'm sorry I failed to protect you.. I'm sorry.. My depression was catching up to me.. I'll see you again.. In a another world.. Maybe we'll meet again someday.. But for now.. My time here is up. I feel so sick of myself.. Tell Obanai that I love him.. I was really grateful that I had someone as supportive as him by my side.. To Obanai if you're reading this.. Thank you.. For making feel like I belong in this household.. I've never been more grateful..

Obanai heard his heart beat faster and faster. He couldn't believe. How did he not know? Obanai walks slowly to the hanging Scarlet, hands shaking. He felt tears forming from his eyes. Why? Why? Obanai then gently places his hand on Scarlet's cold body. He couldn't stop it. He starts crying. He feels the tears roll down his face and onto his mask. Obanai removes his hands from the body and picks up the note.

Obanai was sitting on the ground, unsure of what to do. First Giyuu and Sabito is nowhere to be seen, then Shinobu being gone for well over a week, not to long after Tengen died, then.. Mitsuri was missing.. And.. Now.. Obanai wanted to scream. Loudly. Wailing like a baby.. Just for Scarlet to be back.. Obanai wipes his tears, shoves Scarlet's suicide note in his pocket, and gets up, walking out of Scarlet's old room. He needed to tell his mom. Even if his mom hates him.

'M..mom?' Obanai calls out, his voice shaking. No response. He was expecting that. Taking a deep breathe, 'Mom!' Obanai says more confidently... This time.. 'What the fuck do you want?!' Arashi says, walking down the stairs. 'I was trying to sleep!' Arashi scolds Obanai, who noticeable looked like he'd been crying. 'Scarlet..' Those were the only words Obanai managed to force out.

'Scarlet what?! Huh?!' Arashi says, sounds angrier every minute. Obanai takes a deep breathe, and shaking, he says, 'Scarlet.. Sh-she.. H-hu-' Obanai didn't need to finish his sentence. He saw his mom's eyes widen and runs past him, into Scarlet's room. Obanai followed from behind. He then heard a faint gasp. 'N-no!' Arashi wailed, running up to Scarlet's lifeless body.

Although Obanai hated his mom, he felt bad for once. 'M-my baby! O-oh god! Why! Why.. Why.. Wh..why..' Arashi says, tears rolling down her face, ruining he makeup. Obanai didn't know what to do. He didn't want to look at Scarlet. He didn't want to cry. Again. Obanai sighed, his breathe shaking, as he pulled the suicide note from his pocket and lends it to Arashi.

Arashi turns and grabs the suicide note from Obanai's hand. She turns away and opens the note. Obanai didn't want to watch his mom reading the note. His tears ruined the handwriting. Obanai looks at the hanging body, new tears forming in his eyes. He never understood. How did he not know Scarlet had depression? She hid it so well that.. Not one knew.. No one ever knew she and depression.. Expect.. Herself..

Obanai couldn't help but cry at that thought. He knew his mom hated when he cried but.. He couldn't stop the tears from pouring out of his eyes. Obanai uses his sleeves and tries wiping away all the tears but.. It didn't stop.. 'Oh..' Obanai jumped. Through his blurry vision, he turns and sees Arashi, his mom, crying. Her tears were painting the suicide note. 'How foolish was I..?' Arashi muttered, barely over a whisper.

Obanai had stopped crying, for now. He wanted to comfort his mom but also didn't. 'I-i'm sorry..' Arashi said. Obanai thought it was directed towards Scarlet but.. Arashi then hugs Obanai. It was quiet. Obanai thought he was hallucinating. Obanai looks at his mother, who was hugging him tightly. 'I'm so sorry.. I-i've been s-such a bad mother..' Arashi says through tears. Obanai didn't know what to do.

He, himself felt like crying. Obanai never thought, till the day he dies, that his mother would say those words to him. 'I-i'm sorry for using you.. I-i'm s-sorry for mistreating y-you.. Y-you don't need t-to forgi-' 'I-it's fine..' Obanai says cutting off his mother's sentence. Obanai hugs Arashi back softly. Then he heard loud sobs coming from Arashi. 'Don't forgive me! I don't deserve to be forgiven.. After what I've done. I can't undo it.' Arashi says through tears.

Obanai didn't know how to feel.. Again.. He felt sad and depressed.. But now.. He felt.. Lighter... A little too light.. Then, suddenly, after being overwhelmed with emotions, Obanai passes out.
