No one pov

Kanae felt like crying. 'H-how.. Dare you..' Kanae managed to mutter out. 'I loved you Sanemi!' Sanemi holds his stomach. He wanted to apologize but couldn't. Sanemi just couldn't. 'I-'

'FOODS READY!!' Shinobu screams loud enough for all of them to hear. 'You.. Got lucky..' Kanae tells him. 'Coming!' Kanae yells back and leaves. Sanemi gets up and goes to the dining room. When he made it down, he saw Kanao, Aoi, Shinobu, and Kanae eating.

'Ah Sanemi- San! Hungry?' Shinobu asked. Sanemi was no where near hungry after what he said but he still agreed to eat, since the food looked good. He sits down next to Aoi. He gets handed a bowl of rice and he starts eating. Aoi glares at Sanemi, suspecting something happened.

It was quiet and awkward. No one was speaking. No one was even bothering to talk. It was as if they could feel, Kanae's unstable aura.

'Are you okay Nee-chan?' Shinobu asked Kanae. 'Why wouldn't I be Shino?' Kanae responds. 'You're normally the one who talks about stuff.. It feels awkward when you don't talk while we eat you know?' Shinobu tells her. Sanemi didn't understand a thing they were talking about.

All he knew was that they usually talk when they eat. Aoi gets up and washes her bowl in the sink. She puts it away and looks at Sanemi, uncomfortably. 'Hey Sanemi? Can you help me with Inosuke?' Aoi whispered to Sanemi. 'Just.. Come in my room' Aoi whispered to him.

She leaves and heads to her room, expecting Sanemi to be there as soon as possible. Aoi had something she thought Sanemi would be interested in. Sanemi starts eating a little faster so he can see what she is trying to tell him. 'What did Aoi-nee tell you?' Kanao ask. 'She needs help with her lover.' Sanemi tells her.

'AOI HAS A LOVER?!' Shinobu yells in shock. Ah sh!t.. Sanemi fucked up real bad. 'Well.. That's what I think she said' Sanemi responds with a full mouth. He finishes his bowl and washes it. He puts it away and heads to Aoi room.

'What do you need you blue gremlin?' Sanemi ask. 'Took you long enough!' Aoi tells him. 'Also was it necessary to tell my siblings I have a lover?' Aoi ask. Sanemi scoffs. 'Yes it was. I know you like Inosuke, why do you need to tell me that again?' Sanemi tells her.

Aoi rolls her eyes. 'Of course I'm not talking about Inosuke jackass!' Aoi says. 'What I'm trying to say is-' 'You like Tanjiro don't you Aoi?' Sanemi cuts off. Aoi slaps Sanemi in the face. 'No Jackass!' Sanemi rubs the place where Aoi slapped. 'What did you say to Kanae?' Aoi ask

Sanemi looks at her. 'What do you mean?' Aoi sighs. 'You know, she talks A LOT while we eat. This is probably the fastest I ever ate actually! I'm normally the last one because I always want to talk with Kanae. But knowing YOU and KANAE were talking before we ate, then her not talking only leads me to believe you said something that pissed her off.' Aoi says

'Wow congratulations Mrs. Genius! You found out I pissed her off. She is my ex! What am I suppose to do? It would be so awkward if we had an actual conversation!' Sanemi points out. 'This is not what I'm trying to say!' Aoi yells back. 'What did you tell her? What did you say to her?!' Aoi asked. 'What did you say that made her so mad, she can't even bother to talk?!'

Sanemi falls silent. He had a reason AND a response to that question. Yet if he says it. It will ruin his friendship with the Butterfly sisters. 'Do you need to get so personal Aoi?!' Sanemi ask. 'Why do you want to know? I could expect Shinobu but not you!' Sanemi argues.

'It's because I actually care about my siblings, older or younger! Unlike you someone who doesn't bother taking care of their own younger brother!' Aoi argues. When Aoi said that, Sanemi fell silent. 'Well, at least I respect their privacy! I don't hate Genya, I love him. He is literally the only family I have!' Sanemi snaps back.

'Just tell me what you said to Kanae so we don't get into sensitive topics!' Aoi argues. 'And?! How am I supposed to trust YOU to not tell Shinobu or Kanao?! Last time I told you I "liked" Kanae, you told her!' Sanemi tells her. 'I promise with my heart and soul I will not tell anyone expect me, myself, and I! Aoi says

Sanemi scoffs. He didn't want to tell Aoi. But then again, it would be a waste of arguing with her and he will never give up in an argument. 'I told Kanae I never loved her, so that's why we broke up!' Sanemi says, shocking Aoi. She stares at Sanemi. Sanemi starts to regret his words. 'Th-that's what you told her?!' Aoi says in utter disbelief.

'How could you not love her?! You would be considered lucky to date her! She so kind a-and nice..' Aoi says trailing off. Sanemi looks at Aoi. 'Promise you won't tell?' Sanemi tells her. 'I- A promise is a promise..' Aoi says quietly. Then Sanemi thinks of the words Aoi said before. 'Unlike you someone who doesn't bother taking care of their own younger brother.'

Sanemi never really thought about that. He never thought about even thinking about Genya. 'So.. Did you tell anyone? Or was me and Kanae the only ones..' Aoi asked. 'No. Mitsuri knows. I told her and she said it's best for us to break up..' Sanemi says with slight guilt.

Aoi chuckles. 'As expected.. I thought Kanae was the one who broke up with you?' Aoi says. 'I broke up with her. I actually never liked her from the beginning funny enough..' Sanemi says. 'I'll be leaving now.. See you never Aoi.. And promise you won't tell ANYONE.' Sanemi tells her. 'I won't.' Aoi says, still in utter shock. Sanemi leaves Aoi's room and goes to leave their house.

He says goodbye to Kanao. He notices, Shinobu was missing from the table. He wanted to say goodbye to her but left to go home.

Shinobu was standing outside of Aoi's room from the beginning of the argument to the end. She thought it was about Inosuke so she followed. When Sanemi left Aoi's room, she got lucky Sanemi didn't see her. But now she was in disbelief after found Sanemi was the one to break up with Kanae, just because he never loved her.
