Chapter 22: Training
(O.D.D.- Ehehe~George-Sensei is my Karate Sensei. The quote up there is what he tells us when we're training... ^u^;)
"Oh...it's Corvino-san."
Cielo blinked and waved to the hitman, setting his sniper rifle to the side as Macario flew up to settle on the snownette's head.
"Yo, Corvino-san."
Izaak gave a lazy, two-fingered salute to the man, Sila resting on his right shoulder.
"Eh~? Crow-san~!"
Meilin waved exuberantly to the man, smiling widely as Dǎn copied his partner's movements. Engelram, mask still in place, nodded his head in acknowledgement, sitting in a lotus stance as Herz was curled up in his lap.
"Long time no see, Corvino-san."
On the other hand...Anatole, Aleta and Amaya--still impassive--were shocked to see the man there. Aleta pointed her finger at Corvino while speaking to Akihito, who was grinning widely.
"Oi! Is he supposed to be here?"
Akihito waved his hands in the air, showing that everything was fine.
"Maa, I told Corvino-san about everything..."
The greenette looked like he was trying to hold back laughter. Izaak narrowed his eyes at the other before widening them, realization dawning on the blonde's face.
"No..."
Izaak stared accusingly at Akihito, mouth opening and closing like a fish. Cielo was watching Izaak's face with confusion and turned his head to look at Corvino and Akihito...then he saw that sinister smirk on Corvino's face widen. Cielo sweat-dropped before rubbing a palm into his eye, groaning in exasperated amusement.
"...Caro Dio dammi la forza..." (...Dear God give me strength...)
Engelram and Meilin were the next to understand what was about to happen to them in the future. Engelram placed his masked-face in his hands while Meilin smiled nervously.
"Hell is coming..."
"E-Eh~that's for sure..."
Anatole, Aleta and Amaya were the poor, clueless victims. Aleta grew annoyed.
"What are guys so worried about?"
Izaak, Cielo, Engelram and Meilin pointed at Corvino.
"He's/Corvino-san's/the spartan's going to train us to our deaths."
Corvino's smirk simply grew wider.
(O.D.D.- Corvino-san...please don't kill them...)
(Corvino- Now where's the fun in that?)
(O.D.D.- =_=;)
~~
"What...the...pant...freak...WAS THAT?!"
Aleta glared at Corvino, who was lazily sipping a cup of espresso, smirking as he turned his gaze to Aleta.
"My way of training."
"BY SHOOTING BULLETS AT US AND TELLING US TO SIMPLY DODGE AND SURVIVE?!" Aleta--still lying on the ground--weakly pointed her finger to the many bullet holes that littered the area. There were even a few craters.
Corvino's smirk widened as he sipped his espresso again; he spoke innocently.
"I'm helping you guys with your reflexive skills..."
"YOU'RE TRYING TO KILL US!"
Corvino snickered, glancing at Izaak, Cielo, Engelram and Meilin; the four were hardly gasping for breath, but they were looking at Corvino warily.
"Hm...I should probably add some weights to you guys...it'll make it harder."
The four sweat-dropped and shared a similar thought.
'This sadistic, spartan hitman will be the death of me...'
Akihito laughed, gaining the attention of everyone.
"Maa, I think he was going easy on you guys." He chuckled darkly. "Try living with him every single day of your life."
Everyone, sans Corvino, sweat-dropped as Akihito continued to chuckle darkly. The greenette then grinned brightly, getting up from his seat, which was a large boulder.
When they all met up at Akihito's house they moved to a clear, rocky plain--far from the city. The place was perfect for training.
Akihito dusted his pants off, walking towards them, hands in his pockets; Yuhi flew by circling above the greenette's head. Akihito grinned at them before sticking his arm out.
Suddenly, an orange light surrounded Yuhi. When the light died down, Yuhi flipped around in the air--now a Phoenix; she landed on Akihito's outstretched arm.
"Re-introducing...my partner, Yuhi!"
Kreee! 'Yo! We're gonna teach ya' how to work with your partners!'
Everyone stared curiously at Akihito; his grin grew wider.
"Oi! Sila, Macario, Herz, Dǎn, Alaire, Amarata, and Caran--you can change into your released states now."
The said spirit animals complied; flashes of light filled the air. When the lights dispersed, the spirit animals--now in their released states--turned to Akihito, whose grin continued to grow wider.
"Well...I have all of summer to teach you guys some new moves..." A silver light surrounded Akihito. His green hair turned silver. "Let's get started."
Akihito grinned before setting his mask in place, drawing his sword out.
(O.D.D.- Right now...I won't show how the training went. The results will show and some flashbacks will come in the next few chapters...enjoy! ;D)
