I was randomly talking to my sister and I just asked "do you believe friendship over the Internet is real?"

She said no

I ended up having an argument with her and all she kept saying was that
"If they haven't met or had some sort of physical contact they aren't friends."

Ok so 2 hour Skype calls, knowing almost everything about them, telling them everything, and trusting them with personal stuff isn't friendship till they've met and high fived or something

WE EVEN LOOKED UP THE WORD FRIENDSHIP AND IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH PHYSICAL CONTACT

Her was our conversation
Sis: Well they don't have any memories together.
Me: so talking isn't making memories? So every time you and your friend just talked that wasn't a memory?
Sis: no. There's nothing to talk about though!
Me: what do you talk to your friend about?
Sis: well what happened throughout my day-
Me: so Internet friends can't talk about that too?
Sis: but they still have never met they've never hugged or high fives or anything!

She keeps falling back on the whole "they need physical contact" thing

Agggggg if only she knew
