SO this is bad don't expect it to help and it's only the face bc that's what I'm working on at the moment

btw I have all the skin in a clipping layer while I do this

Kay so first you lay down the base layer

Add a darker, more saturated colour to blushy areas (cheeks, nose, ears, neck lines, collar bones, shoulders, elbows, knees, fingers, belly button)

add a lighter version of the base colour to the chin, also you can put it on one side of the body if you want

add a less saturated (more grey) version of the base colour to the forehead. You can also put this on the opposite side of the body to the light colour.

on another layer above put a darker colour in any area you want shading (under the hair, neck, shirt sleeves, anywhere body parts or clothes cross over pretty much)

Blendy blend

I messed with it a little bit, and usually I put the layer onto multiply (that's optional though)
