Nelson's POV:

"Bro...", I whined placing my head on Matt's shoulder. "Why am I feeling like this?"

He sighed in frustration. "For the past fifteen minutes you are saying the same thing, bro, bro, bro, bro! Say anything else other than that!"

I whined again. "I have this weird feeling...it makes me feel scared as well at the same time, I feel so good."

"Now, if I say something, you will get angry."

"No, say what you want to say."

"You are in love, Nelson..."

"With whom?"

At that he pushed me away and got up and pointing towards the door said, "You know what, get out."

"I cancled my meeting because of you and now you talking such nonsense", he added.

I pouted sadly and then in a puerile way said, "Why are you shouting at me? I didn't do anything."

He picked up the file from his desk and slammed it on his face a few times.

After he was done doing that, he came and sat beside me on the couch again.

"Okay...tell me exactly how you are feeling."

"I don't know..."

"You ever felt this way before?"

"Umm...yes..."

"When?"

I chuckled nervously. "Eleven years back but...this time... it's much stronger."

"You are in love for God's sake, Nelson!"

"No--"

"Dare you deny it! You know what, you can leave and you will enter this office only and only when you have accepted your feelings. I don't care how long does it takes."

"But, but--"

"No buts, Nelson! What are you afraid of?!"

"I don't want to...to get my heart broken..."

"Oh, Nelson! You have to take the risk and you guys have kissed so many times already, she must have some feelings for you."

"But--"

"Fine! Let it be." He got up again and went to his desk.

We did kiss so many times and Matt is right, she must feel something for me.

I suddenly said, "Okay, fine. I love her."

Matt almost tripped over the leg of his chair but didn't fall. He turned around, his mouth wide open.

"You should have warned me before saying something like that!"

"Now when I am accepting it, you are not happy." I rolled my eyes.

"Should I give all my employees a bonus because my stupid friend finally after eleven years, after eleven years accepted his feelings."

I rubbed my temple in frustration and sat there quietly.

I love her.

I love Ella.

I love her.

I didn't realise that I was crying untill Matt said, "Stop being such a cry baby."

He came and stood infront of me with his hands on his waist.

"You fell in love, not in a volcano. Stop the drama now!"

"What if...what if she...she just rejects me?"

"Who is asking you to confess to her right now. Take your time, take her out on dates, woo her and make her fall in love with you."

"It's not that easy..."

"Of course, it's not easy but you gotta try. Okay?"

I was about to speak when my phone rang.

"Yes, dad?"

"Come meet us at Xanir's house."

"Oh, okay...what happened?"

"Nothing important. Just need to talk to you..."

"Uh, okay. I am coming."

"Dad wants me to meet them at uncle's house", I said to Matt hanging up the call.

"A new job?", he teased.

"Shut up. I am not taking any other job now. See you later..."

"Hmm... don't cry again now. Remember you are just in love."

"You can stop it now. I am going, bye."

"Bye! My dear friend in love."

I just rolled my eyes and left.

After greeting aunty, I went up to uncle's study and knocking, I went in.

Uncle and dad were there, sitting on the individual chairs talking.

"Hey, guys!", I greeted.

"Hey, son. How are you?", uncle greeted me back.

"Good, I am always good."

I took the chair and sat on it. "So...what do you wanna talk about?"

Uncle leaned forward. "The payment...you said you will take it once the job is over. So, what do you want?"

I haven't thought of it yet.

"Just give me a minute", I said to them and dad nodded.

There is only one thing that I want now. And that's quite obvious.

I got up and walked closer to uncle. "I know what I exactly want in return of protecting your daughter."

Uncle gestured me to go on.

I gulped audibly and nervously ran my hand through my hair.

I looked between them for a second, they both were looking at me patiently.

Either this is gonna be very good or I am dead today. There's nothing in between.

So, taking a deep breath, I said to uncle, "I want Ella."

For a minute there was silence, no one spoke, no one moved.

Pin drop silence.

And then I saw dad's expression change. It was clearly written on his face that he misunderstood my words.

Angrily, he got up and walked to me.

I opened my mouth to explain myself but dad grabbed my collar.

"Is this what we taught you, Nelson?! To lust over a woman we told you to protect?!", dad spat and my eyes widened.

I didn't mean that!

I wanted to explain myself but dad's hold was quite tight.

Uncle quickly sprang up and said to dad, "Leave him!"

Still glaring at me, dad leaves my collar making me stumble back as I coughed.

"Let me talk to him", uncle said calmly to dad.

Dad replied, "I am elder than you, Xanir!"

"Just by a year, now sit down!", uncle raised his voice.

I masked my chuckle by coughing.

But dad still didn't agree, "I am his father!"

"He is like a son to me too", uncle argued back, "It would be better if you leave us alone for a minute and calm the hell down!"

Dad was about to argue but uncle gave him a deathly glare and grumbling to him and giving me one last glare, dad went away leaving us alone.

Now uncle turned to me and in a surprisingly calm voice said, "Now rephrase your sentence very carefully or else I'll throw you out of this window."

"Uncle", I said softly, "I didn't mean that. I...umm...I love her, uncle. I really do. I swear it's not lust... it's love, uncle."

"Actually", I continued, "I was always in love with her. Since past many years...I have always loved her uncle. It was always her."

"And why were you always in love with her? What made you fall in love with her?", uncle interrogated.

"Eleven years back...there was a small incident. I was sixteen...and I...", I explained uncle everything.

When I finished, uncle was watching me very carefully.

He was quiet for a minute but then finally said, "Okay. Now go and woo her if you don't want me to kick your ass."

I shouldn't be surprised by his reply. Of course he will kick my ass for falling in love with his--

Wait a minute.

"What did you say?", I asked.

"I said go and woo her if you don't want me to kick your ass", he repeated.

It took me a minute to realise what he said and when I did, I hugged him. Tightly.
I was so, so, so, so happy that I even lightly pecked his cheeks making him chuckle.

When I pulled back, he grabbed both of my shoulders. "You are the only man I trust to love and protect my daughter. I always wanted you both to get married. And remember, I trust you, Nelson. If you break my trust, I will break your bones and you know I am capable of doing that. Be careful with your moves."

I nodded. "I promise, I will never ever break your trust."

He patted my back. "Now, run along and better woo her."

"And tell your father to meet me. He gets hyper very quickly", he added.

I gave him a salute before leaving his study.

I found dad downstairs in the living room with aunty.

"Uncle is calling you upstairs", I told him.

"Nelson--"

"Bye, dad. See you later!"

Uncle will deal with him.

Okay, so I love Ella. Wow.

So, I need to now woo her, make her fall for me or else uncle's gonna kick my ass.

Well, it's a perfect day so far...

That's what I thought.

I texted Ella later that evening asking where she is.

She told me a restaurant's name.

I didn't say anything else but I drove there, thinking of surprising her.

But as I stopped infront of the restaurant, I saw her coming out with another man.

Who the fuck he is?!

And what is she doing with him?!
