Trouble
"NO!!!" Elena screamed through the halls.
But it was too late.
She had raced halfway across town to get to him, since Alaric had told her what was going down, yet despite her best efforts... There was nothing she could do. Jeremy hit the floor. After Kai had finished with him, his injuries were worse than anything she had ever seen.
She wanted to get to him, drop to the floor beside him and let everything she was feeling in that moment out. The only thing she wanted was to get to him. Unfortunately, that was impossible, as he'd finished with Jeremy, Kai turned his attention to her.
Slowly she backed away, and made a run for the door. She got halfway down the hall when she was yanked to the side. Everything was black. Far too dark to see.
"Ssh" she heard a voice say.
Never in her life had she feared so much.'This is it. Kai's gonna kill me' she thought to herself.
Just as she was about to fight her way out, she heard Kai yell because he was not able to find her and then footsteps, suggesting that he'd left the building. She then let herself be led out of the dark place. The bright light hit her eyes like razors, but finally she could put a face to who had pulled her into the dark place, that she thought was some kind of storage cupboard.
"Tyler!" She said sounding half surprised.
"Didn't really think I'd leave you two alone to deal with that physco did you?" He asked proudly.
She shook her head. "No time for jokes. I have to get to Jeremy!" She stated and ran back down the hall to where Jeremy was layed.
If it wasn't for her vampire senses being able to hear a heart beat, she'd have thought he was dead. Kneeling beside him, she grabbed his hand. "It's okay Jer. I'm gonna do whatever I have to in order to fix this. Whatever it takes. I promise." From the moment those words left her lips, she had only one thing on her mind and she was determined that she was not going to let her brother die. She grabbed the dagger that had been in Jeremy's hand, and with her eyes filled with hate, she began walking.
Storming towards the door she came to a sudden hault as Tyler appeared in front of her.
"Think about this carefully before you do something stupid." He said, not budging from the doorway.
"I'm done thinking. I just wanna kill him!" She snapped, the anger clear in her voice.
"Right but with that much magic... Is that before or after he kills you too?" He quizzed, already knowing the kind of response he was going to get.
"Get out of my way!" She demanded.
"Not until you come up with a rational plan that's not going to get you killed." He replied stubbornly.
"Jeremy is my brother and you know what? I would die for him so move!" She demanded again.
He simply shook his head. "I may be testing my luck by pissing off a girl with a dagger in their hands but... No way am I moving from this door way." He said calmly, Not that she was in any mood to listen....or think rationally.
"Get out of my way! Tyler... Please?" She half demanded, half begged.
"No." He said again.
At this point any anger that was written on her face was replaced by pure, solid coldness. It was clear to him that there was no way he was ever going to be able to talk her out of this one. So he said the only other thing he could think of.
"Fine. If you wanna go, I'm not gonna stop you.." He began. She looked at him in confusion for backing down, that wasn't like Tyler at all. Then he finished, ".. But I am not about to let you do this on your own. I'm coming with you." He said stubbornly.
She didn't like that idea. It was something that she thought she should do alone, but knowing that there was no other way he would let her go, she nodded her head, and he stepped out of the way.
"Let's go kill that physco!" She said, and with that they both left, ready to find and kill Kai.
He still thought it was a bad idea but he was hoping that she'd stop and realize that on the way. Before she did something stupid. Before they were in sniffing distance of Kai.
