Hello my breadsticks.

I have returned.

The idea for this came from @Fulcrom12, and I'm really thankful for that. Your idea really helped me write this chapter (finally.)

I also had no idea how to write this chapter because it's basically just a filler until we get back to Ameir's part, so this is probably going to be shitty and short.

Enjoy!

Anakin's POV:

"Well, uh," I just sat there and gave the guys this really awkward smile thing. (Like Stiles' smile) "That's my little sister, if you didn't guess."

The men all looked at me differently. Echo with an intrigued face, Kix with a confused face, Rex with his trademark nuetral face which I could tell was masking curiosity, and Fives with an amused face, but wasn't he always amused at something?

"So, ah, General, are we stuck out here?" Kix asked. He sounded kind of on edge, as if he wasn't the only one that wasn't too excited about being stuck out here.

"Yeah, Kix, yeah we are."

And with that, we collectively sighed.

------TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE SUPERNATURAL EPISODE THAT IS BEING INTERRUPTED BY THE ILLEGAL FIREWORKS GOING ON NEXT DOOR------

We had set up a small shelter with some of the larger scraps from the doors of the transport. We had started a small fire with the supplies from Kix's pack. I had told them that the desert gets ridiculously cold so we huddled as far together as we dared.

Although Fives and Echo had no problem with getting close.

Well at least Fives didn't.

Echo really didn't have a choice.

But from what I could feel of his emotions through the Force, he really didn't mind.

Kix and Rex though, that was a different story. As soon as the ARC troopers had fallen asleep, the three of us just stared at the fire that's crackling was the only sound in the desert. It had grown much colder and we had all scooted unconsciously closer towards each other and the fire.

"So you have a sister...." Rex stated out of the blue.

I just blankly stared at him for a few seconds, then I cleared my throat. "Uh, yeah, yeah I do."

Rex looked at me with a raised eyebrow, which could mean many different things. "What was her name again?"

This caused me to smirk. "Rex old boy are you interested in my little sister? You haven't even met her yet." I wiggled my eyebrows and he blushed a deep red.

"NO, uh, sorry, no sir, I would just, well, I would just like to, like to know who's saving, saving? us I guess," he stuttered. I had never seen Rex so flustered, actually, I had never seen Rex flustered

Kix laughed, and that was the first that I had really heard from him tonight. "Sure thing ori'vod, sure thing."

Our laughter faded into the darkness of the desert as we slowly drifted off.

When I woke again I was shivering. The fire was almost out and I had nothing left to fuel it. It would maybe last ten more minutes, not much longer though. I looked over and saw Rex had moved closer to the two ARC's. His arm was wrapped around Echo's shoulders, and Fives had weaseled his way in between the two, with his arms wrapped around Echo's middle and his leg's on Rex's armored thighs.

I wish that I had a way to record this or at least take a picture, but I guess this time I've lucked out.

I shivered again, but this time arms wrapped around my torso. In a confused and sleepy daze I looked behind me and saw Kix with half closed eyes and a small, woozy smile.

"Sleeeeeep, Generallll," he dragged out the last word as he squeezed my middle. "I'll prooteeeect yooou."

I laughed quietly at his efforts, feeling a little flustered at his bold actions. I knew that he probably wouldn't remember this in the morning, but it still made me feel butterflies. But I knew that this was wrong. This would never work, it's against the Code, and it's against the Regulations.

But I would take what I could while I still had it.

So I cuddled back into Kix's embrace and he hummed with content as I obeyed his wishes.

I could deal with this in the morning.

So I don't think that this was that great of a chapter, but I'm working on it. I hope to update soon, but my mom has been starting to track everything I do, and she doesn't approve of Wattpad, so I am trying to be stealthy. Stay safe breadsticks, and Happy 4th of July!
