FrancexNeko!Reader| A monster in Paris
You walked down the dark, damp alleyway, rain pouring down on your frail body. Your ears were flat against your head. Oh yea, your ears. Believe it or not, you weren't human. You were half human half cat. Russian blue to be exact. You barely had anything on you because of your abusive father. You don't know what happened to your mother. Everything was good with mommy around, but when she dissapeared, everything went to hell. You think back to your life with him.
~Flashback to 2 days ago~
Punch! Slap! Kick!
Those were the sounds resonating from your room. Your father stood above with with a disgusted look on his face.
- I damn the day you were born. I damn the day I met your mother. That cunt.- He said before stepping on your tail. It hurt. Your tail was loosely attached to your body so it was easy to rip it off. Your father grabbed your ears and strangled you. You lashed out and scratched his eye. He got even more mad than he was previously and he punched you in the face and threw you into a small cage, locking it once your body was in. You tried to get out, but he would just hit you with a knife, leading you to have multiple scars all over your body. You were as thin as a stick. You were basically skin and bones. Nothing more, nothing less. A beast. You looked at the night sky through your window. Oh, how you wanted to be free. You wanted to be like the birds outside. You wanted to be a real cat. You wanted to escape so badly, you would do anything to gain freedom.
- Someone.... Please..... Help me.......- You thought. One thing that made you feel at least a bit better was singing. Though, it was more like a weird meow than a song. Tears ran down your eyes like waterfalls.
- What did I do to deserve this? Why do I exist?- You ask those questions over and over, each and every evening. You then see something shine in the dark. You look over and see that it was the key from the cage. Your father was ussually drunk when he beat you, so this was to be forseen. You tried to reach it, but it was too far. You though at that moment that hope was gone. The key was so close, yet so far away. You then remembered your tail. Sure, it's bruised, but it's still attached to your body. You succesfully push the key towards you, your (E/C) eyes glistening with exitement. Finally. You would be free. Away from this retched place. Away from the past. Away from your troubles. Away from him. You grab the key and unlock the cage. You can practically taste freedom. You open the window and jump through it. Under it was a bush, so jumping from the 2nd floor was ok. You stand up and run away as fast as possible. You were finally free. You were so grateful for your father's drunken mistakes. Freedom was here.
~Back to the present~
But things didn't go as well as you thought. In the dark your (E/C) eyes become golden, seemingly glowing in the dark. You remember when you were in an alleyway in the streets of Paris. There was a couple and the woman accadentally lost her pearl necklace. The man insisted to go find it. You jumped on a table that was left there and wanted to look closer. The woman screamed. The man turned around to see your shadow. You wanted to show them that you aren't a monster, so you grabbed his red scarf. All it did was remove his scarf, along with a dark grey coat and a chappeaux (It's a hat). In the end you put the clothes on to protect yourself from the rain. It didn't help your need of food though. You look up and see a man walking out of a building. He looked a bit angry. You walked up to ask what's wrong. But because of your weird eye color change, he got scared and tried to call someone. He pulled a string and a beautiful sound came out. He then ran off into the alleyway. You walk up to the door and pull on the string. The sound came back and it was like a bird was singing. You kept pulling it until you were hit by the door and sent flying across the alley and right into the wall.
- Arthur, 'ow many times do I 'ave to- A man with golden hair said before stopping himself.
- Sacre bleu!- He said before keeping the door open. He came over and tried to look at me.
- Are you 'urt? I'm so sorry that I 'it you. Let me see.- He said. You look up at him and stand up. The lantern was quite far, so your eyes went from a beautiful (E/C) color to a chilling gold color. Your fangs glowed in the limited light. So did your claws. Now, to a parisian, you looked like a monster. So the man got scared and ran back inside. You frown and slide down the wall. You did the first thing that came to your mind. Sing. You tried to actually sing, as in use normal words instead of meowing sounds. It took a few tries, but you eventually started to sing.
I hide my light
Inside a cloak of night.
Beneath the red scarf
And a chappeaux.
The pearl of my heart,
Locked within a shell.
Too afraid to let it go,
To let it show.
And all the headlines read
For the whole world to see.
A monster in Paris.
I fall apart,
I fall apart.
Apparently, I did appear,
Beneath the light, yes it was me.
A monster in Paris.
Your (H/R) locks were sticking to your body as you continue to sing. You remember the times that people became afraid of you from what they thought they saw. A monster, not a person with cat ears and tail.
I hide my pain,
Inside a melody.
As if the notes I sing,
Will set me free.
I keep all my dreams,
Under a lock and key.
I'm so afraid, that they fill fly,
Away from me.
A monster in Paris.
A monster in Paris.
A monster in Paris.
You look down and sigh. You knew you shouldn't have expected to be accepted in this world. What's the point? Nothing, that's what. You then don't feel raindrops fall on you anymore and you look up. Your (E/C) eyes interlock with goregeous sapphire blue eyes. Those eyes belonged to the man with golden hair.
- Do you..... Do you 'ave a name?- He asks. You wanted to tell him that you don't know your name, but it only came out as a meow. The man got it and looked at a sign.
- 'Ow about..... (Y/N)?- He asks. You asks what it means, again, the question comming out as a meow. The man understood.
- It means, (N/M).- He says. You purr and smile, liking what your name ment. He stretched out his hand and you took it. He pulled you up and wrapped his hands aroun your waist.
- My name is Francis, by the way.- He says. You nod and blush. You felt all weird when you were around him. Your tail started to wave back and forth. Maybe there's someone in this world that accepts you. Maybe finaly, you can be yourself. You can finally be free with Francis. Or maybe not. Maybe it's a trap. Who knows? It's all up to your imagination, Reader-chan.
