Sense Ludwig was so young when Forkert died, he can barely remember his father's face. Whenever he tries to imagine what his father would look like, his mind paints him a picture of Gilbert and/or Fritz. Gilbert being his older brother that raised him, and Fritz being the man that treated him and Gilbert as his own.
