Thanks to being raised by Arthur, Alfred can actually be pretty polite and gentlemanly. Some of it comes naturally, like he'll hold the door open for you out of instinct, or when he was going to World Academy, he'd often help people carry their books to class when they had too much to carry, even if he didn't know them. Just small friendly things.
