Chapter 4 - "Drinking"

(POV Third Person)
"Huh?"

"Uh, bruder who's this H.R.E. person?"

When Germany asked that question, Austria and Switzerland moved their gaze to anywhere but Germany and Prussia.

Liechtenstein glanced at her older brother sadly before looking down to the floor. She remembered the stories and pictures she was shown. Of course, Austria and Switzerland, hell no one else besides 2 nations who told her, knew that she was aware of Holy Rome being one of her older brothers.

"Don't worry about it, West. You'll find out sooner or later because of this book." Prussia looked away, he had a promise to keep and he was not going to break it now of all times. Besides, it was true; Germany would find out sooner or later because of the diary entries.

"I just hope he'll forgive me, once he finds out how unawesome I really am."

The other nations were a little unerved by the tone Prussia, so they decided to move on.

"The next entry says
Third place, again?! WHY?! -Russia
Russia, what is this supposed to mean aru?"

Russia twitched a little at this entry. The rest of the Europeans in the room realised just what this entry was about, and they were all trying their best to not kill each other right now. Yes, especially Veneziana and Finland were being barely held back.

"Nothing China. Can we move on?" Russia made his aura stronger as he said the last part. As much as he wanted to defend his country, he also did not want to start another Eurovision war yet, seeing as they just had one last week during the Eurpoean Countries meeting.

Note the yet, because they were pretty sure that Eurovision will be brought up again at some point, and there was no chance of preventing the war by then.

"Can someone else read? My voice is getting tired aru."

Veneziana held in a laugh as she watched the Asian Family in the room. She could hear a few jabs at China being old and said nation was sending a lecture glare at the lot.

"I can read then—oh! You noticed me" Canada said quietly. Though to him it was just his normal voice.

"Sure uh..... who are you again?" China asked as he passed the book

Canada simply sighed at the usual question. Before he could say his kind of mantra "I'm Canada" however, his sister beat him to it.

"Dude! How could you forget ma bro Canada!? He's the one who made those amasing pancakes this morning!" Admittedly, she was more angry about it than usual. But she had an image to keep up. In order to continue the facade, she stressed out the last part in particular.

Which she has no problem with as it was the truth. Just that had it not been for her act she would have kept it to herself.

"Ah, sorry about that, Canada."

"No worries, I'm used to it. So this next entry is... Prussia's"

"Eh?!" Prussia's outburst was ignored aside from a few odd looks at his direction.

"Dear Diary,
Why does everyone think that I am the loudest? If anything, I'm pretty sure Tal's the loudest between the three of us. -Prussia"

"Bruder, who's Tal?" Germany asked. Again, annoying moments of being a young nation.

"Oh! Tal's a nickname Temp and I called Hospitaller. Though that was still way back." And once more, Germany gets not much of an answer he would have had if he'd been born earlier.

"Come to think of it, I haven't heard from those two for some time now." Prussia mumbled under his breath, so quietly that only Veneziana and Austria heard.

"The next entry is America's

Dear Diary,
My brother beat me in Lacrosse again! WHY OH WHY IS HE SO GOOD AT ICE HOCKEY AND LACROSSE?! -America" Canada chuckled as he finished reading it.

America stood and pointed a finger at her brother "IT'S TRUE! I can never manage to beat you!"

Most of the nations laughed loudly, though others who have played against the Canadian before knew all too well just how good he was at those particular sports.

"Anyways, this next one is Finland's

Dear Diary,
What happened last night and why are the others moving away from me looking like they pissed themselves? -Finland"

"Ah, the drinking parties" the four other Nordic nations collectively thought, shivering at the reminder of the many times they had to deal with Finland being drunk.

"Wait guys, really, why were you looking ready to pee in your pants?"

"Nothing to worry about Fin!" Denmark chirped happily, if there was one thing the Nordics agree on immediately it's that Denmark is the one to deal with the questions Finland asks them regarding drinking parties and the events occurring during that time.

"Next entry is Veneziano Italy."

This caused the said nation to tense up slightly in her seat "Hopefully this isn't too bad... maybe"

"It says,
Dear Diary,
I miss him. It's been centuries but I still miss him. Honestly the asshole, he always scolded me for fighting Ottoman and getting hurt, for challenging something supposedly too much for me to handle. Damn it, you should've taken your own advice. You damn -North Italy
Um, other than a paragraph of swear words, the entry finished there..." As Canada finished, the room went silent.

They weren't sure what exactly they were expecting, though it was certainly lighter and more upbeat than... than what was just read. Wait, a paragraph of swear words?!

"Just how many fights did you pick with Turkey? I lost count." At Romano's voice, his twin looked away with a blush on her face.

"All I can say was I was an asshole back then and both of us lost track of our fights and murders."

A stifling silence filled the room. Could Italy, out of everyone, be the one Romano and Greece were referring to earlier?

"Um, this next one is," the corner of Canada's lips twitched upwards as he quickly skimmed the next entry, "Iceland."

"Dear Diary,
Each and every day, I wonder where more of the world's sanity has disappeared to. One moment it was just the normal loud enthusiastic chaos, and the next thing you know, Denmark's fighting with Norway, Sweden and Finland to claim Lego's superiority over Butter, Ikea, and Sauna's respectively. -Iceland"

"Fun fact, I still do."

Denmark briskly stood up, "LEGO SUPERIORITY!"

With a glare, Norway got up from his chair and held Denmark's tie tightly. An act that would kill him by suffocation had he not been mostly immortal. "BUTTER'S SUPERIOR YOU DAMN DANE!"

"And this is exactly what I mean."
