Chapter 3 - "A rivalry of sorts"
(POV Third Person)
"Alright, the first entry belongs to Latvia. It says
Dear Diary,
Lithuania hid my alcohol again! Come on, I don't even drink that much Lithuania! -Latvia"
"You do." Lithuania and Estonia deadpanned at the shortest of the three of them.
"Do not!"
"Forty cups of alcohol. You drank 40 cups of alcohol in five hours and still haven't gotten drunk."
The rest looked at the smallest in the room with bewilderment. They can't die of alcohol poisoning, but the rest of them have all gotten drunk at least a few times. And that was when they drank less than Latvia apparently has.
"The next entry belongs to Greece aru
Dear Diary,
I may or may not have stayed up late so that I have lower electricity rates again, whoops. Sorry Cyprus, but for the sake of my bills I am going to keep staying up late -Greece"
"What does doing your bills late in the night have to do with your bills?"
"Ah, the thing is my country charges more for electricity and water in the normal hours that people are awake. So there are quite a lot of Greeks who stay up late at night just to save some money, and I tend to do that too. Not that it helps my sleeping schedule." Greece explained.
Many of the nations were surprised as this was the most they have heard the typically lazy Greek speak.
"Aiya! Just because the rates are cheaper it does not mean you should sacrifice your sleep and health!" China scolded lightly as Greece just shrugged it off.
A few nations who were close with Greece, quietly chuckled at Heracles' nonchalance. Germany coughed, trying to get them back on track. Fortunately, it was one of the times that it actually worked, somehow.
"The next entry belongs to Wales." the Nation in question perked up at the mention of his name. He just hoped it was not one of his rather..... embarrassing entries.
"Dear Diary,
I ran into a citizen of mine on holiday in Czechia's country. So naturally, as soon as we knew, the rest of us went into full on Welsh conversations. This is definitely one of the best international holidays I have taken yet. -Wales
Is it really that rare to run into one of your citizens in another country?"
"Yes, yes it is. And before any of you say otherwise, shut it 'cause your countries are bigger." All the countries in the room with a small population outside their own agreed with Wales while the others wondered what exactly they meant, but shrugged it off.
"Ah, the next one is Romano's aru."
"Shit."
"Dear Diary,
Help. Please. Because I may or may not have pissed of a certain someone again......... -South Italy"
Veneziana gave a small glare to her older twin brother, who was looking away from her and subtly sent a look towards America and Canada for help. If Veneziana's hunch was correct, the diary was most likely about her long gone Lamborghini.
America and Canada shrugged, which basically meant 'And face our death? Hell no, you're on your own'. Prussia glanced to his brother-in-law sympathetically. He knows from the times he had got Veneziana angry just how terrifying their sister can be. The time she had beaten Ottoman up for example.
"Don't worry Romano! Boss Spain shall protect you!" Spain exclaimed dramatically as he tackled Romano into a hug.
"Shut up you tomato bastard. And just how are going to protect me from them when they could beat up Turkey in his time during the Ottoman Empire as a child?" Romano rolled his eyes as he said the last part. It was true though, just how would Spain think he would protect him from his sister when she could beat up Turkey that time he pissed her off when they were physically children? Granted, she did go alternate at the time because she was trying out his method of managing anger.
"Wha-I don't think that's possible Romano...." Opposite to his words, Spain actually looked a little scared by what Romano said. If that was true..... he could only shiver at what that nation was capable of.
"It's true, you know? I watched it first hand and thanked them. And to clarify, Turkey didn't just get beat up, he got beaten up and then killed by the child nation." Greece said quietly, but due to how silent the entire room had been, everyone heard it.
In her seat, Veneziana tried her hardest to look a little confused, but her two brothers could tell she was thinking really hard about something. And she was definitely smiling.
As friendly as she and Turkey are now, the two still have a rivalry of sorts that stemmed from that time period. Of course, she wasn't proud of losing control and actually murdering Turkey in cold blood like that. However, she kept her mind off of that by watching the pretty funny reactions of the room.
"I really was an asshole back then."
"Can we move on now?" Romano coughed. He didn't like the growing tension in the room.
Spain pouted slightly before moving back to his seat. The rest of the room pushed the matter about there being a really strong nation they didn't know about to the back of their mind for the moment, and continued to read the book.
"The next entry I'm reading is, um, I'm not sure who this is aru, but this is what it says aru.
Dear Journal,
I went along with Vati to meet someone and met a cute girl, another nation, at the nearby garden. I had this fluttery feeling in my stomach when I saw her. Diary, is this what they call falling in love? -H.R.E."
"I KNEW IT! AND HE SAID IT WASN'T LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!" Prussia exclaimed.
"I knew it." Hungary mumbled alongside Prussia. Her thoughts were close, but not exact on what the entry was talking about.
"Huh?"
