America hates it when he's called or when he sees people write "The US" or "The States" because he doesn't want to only be recognized for his states. He wants to be recognized as someone who fought England for freedom, as someone that can stand on his own, as someone that can do great things.

He doesn't want his states to be the only reason why people know of him. He was to get called America, because that's who he is. He's not the United States of America, he's America that has states.
