Stealing Allied Secrets
This is set in the 2P universe during WW2. It's been a long time since we've written anything about the 2Ps so let's get this show on the road.
Chiara played around with her pocket knife, constantly tossing it in the air and catching it by the handle before it hit the ground. She had been doing this for nearly an hour straight, finding it more entertaining than listening to her Father gripe about not having top secret intel on the Allied nations' newest project. That's all he talked about for days; "The Allies' new project could be a weapon that could completely change the war in their favor!" Luciano had shouted. "And I am not going to allow that!"
Despite his want to get information on this project, Luciano knew the risk was too high to go get it. The Axis Powers were in no position to steal the information from the Allies without them knowing since they had been on high alert from the last run-in, which resulted in heavy injuries on both sides.
As the day waned on, Chiara heard her Father griping to Lutz once more on the situation as they were walking by the tent to go get food; "I'm telling you, Lutz, the Allies are going to strike soon and we have no way of knowing if they will use that new project of theirs. We could be completely outmatched for all we know!"
"Then vhy don't ve try and go get the drop on them?" Lutz questioned, obviously annoyed as well at Luciano's constant griping.
"Because we're out-numbered, you fool!" Luciano snapped back. "Even if we had the element of surprise, they would have us captured before we could even blink."
After she was sure the two were gone, the 7-year old poked her head out of her tent and ran to where she was sure to find Resi and Kiko; playing a game of William Tell with a katana instead of a bow and arrow.
"Vhen do I get to be the one to shoot the Apple?" Resi complained from her spot beneath the tree.
"When I perfectry srice this Appre in harf," Kiko stated, taking her katana our from its sheath. "Now hord compretery stirr or you may receive another scar."
Just as Kiko was about to charge at Resi, Chiara came by: "You idiots, enough games! We got work to do!"
"Ve do?/We do?"
***************
"No vay am I doing this!"
"It's a suicide mission!"
"No it's not; it's a brilliant plan!"
Chiara had pulled Resi and Kiko aside to propose a plan to steal the Allies' secret plan information themselves. Resi and Kiko thought it was a horrible plan, but Chiara was insistent that it would work. "Think about it," Chiara said. "The Allies wouldn't be expecting us to be the ones to steal their plans. We could sneak in without them even knowing we were there! It's full-proof!"
Kiko and Resi rolled their eyes.
"You rearry expect us to berieve that this pran of yours wirr work?" Kiko questioned.
"It sounds like vay too much vork to me," Resi commented.
Chiara growled and stabbed her pocket knife into the table out of anger. She was furious! "I'm trying to give us an advantage in this stupid war, and you two are complaining and griping! If we just keep sitting around and waiting, then the Allies are bound to attack us anyway! I say we strike them before they can strike us!"
Kiko and Resi looked at each other, not really buying Chiara's reasoning behind wanting to get the information on the secret project the Allies were working on. In fact, they had their own theory as to why Chiara really wanted to get that information.
"Is this rearry about getting that information?" Kiko smirked.
"Or is it about pleasing your Daddy?" Resi chuckled.
Chiara scowled, trying to hide the fact that that did have a bit to do with Chiara wanting to get the plans, other than just wanting her Father to quit complaining all the time. She tried all she could to get Luciano to at least acknowledge her efforts, but it was nearly impossible to do so. There had only been a few times when Luciano had been proud of her; when she got her first bullseye with her pocket knife, the time she tortured a mafia rival out of his secrets, and when she successfully made Luciano's brand of pasta all on her own. Other than that, it seemed to Chiara that Luciano wouldn't even give her the time of day, which she often longed for but never outwardly expressed.
"T-That has nothing to do with this!" Chiara stuttered to her friends, trying to convince herself that this was also not true. "I'm just sick of hearing him gripe all the time, and I'm sure you both feel the same way."
"You do have a point," Kiko begrudgingly agreed. "We are sick of it."
"He just keeps going on and on every single day!" Resi retorted. "It is getting really annoying."
"So let's shut him up and get those plans!"
Kiko and Resi once again looked at each other and sighed. The William Tell game was getting old anyway. "Fine," they both sighed.
"So what next?" Kiko asked.
Chiara smirked. "We strike at night when they'll least expect it."
******************
Night soon fell and the three 2P capitals tiptoed their way out of their camp and made their way to the Allies' camp. They used moonlight to guide them to the camp and used the forest as cover to get them there without being spotted. Once the camp came into sight, the three girls ducked into the bushes and checked the area before continuing forward. They checked several tents, trying to find the one that held the secret information. The three capitals ended up stumbling upon the tent where the weapons were, but that wasn't what they were looking for. At one point, they came upon the tents where the Allied capitals were sleeping, which was a good thing because they were definitely not the ones they wanted to wake up.
After an hour of searching, the three capitals soon came to a tent where there were files scattered pretty much all over a table. The three capitals made their way inside and tried to sort through them to try to find the secret project info. Nothing seemed to stand out, though. In fact, most of the papers didn't even make sense. The sentences were all jumbled up and didn't follow any proper grammar rules.
"What the heck is this?!" Chiara questioned. "None of this makes sense!"
"Are we sure Arren didn't write these?" Kiko retorted.
As they read more and more papers, Resi noticed a pattern; she took a few of the papers and laid them out in a way that it was diagonal down. She read down and gasped when she realized what it said; Nice try Axis Dopes. "Guys, ve have a pro-"
Just then, the lights in the tent went off. The next thing the girls know, knock-out gas went into the tent and they passed out. When they woke-up, the girls found themselves tied up in chairs with the 2P Allied Nations waiting for them. "Well, well, this sure is a surprise," Allen chuckled, leaning the chair that Chiara was tied in back. "We were expecting the Axis nations, but this seems a bit more interesting."
"Impressive how you three were able to slip past without getting caught," Xiao stated.
"Not rike you had much security," Kiko said under her breath.
"Either way, it will not be as easy to leave as it was to come in," Viktor stated.
"So what will we do to them, chaps?" Oliver asked. "I could feed them some of my special cupcakes~."
The three capitals gulped, knowing the horror stories of those cupcakes.
That's when Francois glared at Oliver. "We can't kill zhem," Francois said. "We need zhem alive."
Oliver pouted.
"So then, what are we going to do with them?" Matt asked.
"We're gonna use them as bargaining chips," Allen smirked. "The Axis powers are sure to pay anything to get these brats back. They give us what we want, and then we double-cross them and trap them."
The other nations all chuckled, finding it to be a plan that they could get behind.
"Please, your wasting your time," Chiara interrupted, getting the attention of everyone in the room. "My Father is one of the most blood-cold and ruthless men in the world; he wouldn't be dumb enough to give you what you want in exchange for us. He'd never meet any demands."
"You so sure about?" Xiao stated.
"Positive," Chiara replied with an unamused face.
Allen rolled his eyes.
Suddenly, there was a noise outside, which sounded like a tussle between the soldiers and some possible intruders. Shouting and thrashing was heard until there was utter silence, other than the sound of three pairs of footsteps walking towards the tent. The tent flap was pushed aside to reveal the Axis nations, who all had looks in their eyes that inspired fear into anyone who stared at them too long.
"I believe you have something that belongs to us," Luciano glared.
*******************
After getting back to their camp, Chiara found herself treating her Father's wounds, which thankfully weren't life-threatening. She pressed down a rag to his forehead and did her best to pressure the wound to keep it from bleeding once more. Neither spoke as Chiara helped Luciano with the wounds. When she was sure she was done, Chiara went to leave when Luciano spoke; "What were you thinking?"
Chiara stopped and turned to look back at Luciano, but didn't say a word. She just stared at him.
"Chiara, what were you thinking?!" He repeated, this time with more anger.
"......You wanted something done, we tried to accomplish it," Chiara replied. "Now if you don't have any other questions, I would like to get some sleep."
As she went to leave, Luciano stopped her once more, this time by going to Chiara and placing a hand on her shoulder. Chiara looked up at her Father and noticed that there wasn't just anger in eyes but.....fear? No, worry? He was definitely angry, but....why was there worry in his eyes? "That was stupid, reckless, and absolutely out of line!" Luciano yelled. "I should ground you for life. No, two lives! No, that wouldn't even be enough to even match that stunt you and the others pulled!"
Silence fell and Chiara said not a word, knowing her Father would be angry.
".....But, you at least cleared up the fact that the Allies don't really have a secret project they could use against us......And you did sneak into their camp without them knowing for quite a bit. Not bad for your first time infiltrating."
"Please, I've had practice," Chiara replied. "That place was easy to break into. They should really up their security."
Luciano gave a small chuckle and then rubbed the top of Chiara's head, something he rarely did. It stunned Chiara and she didn't even mind when he said, "One lifetime is enough of a punishment."
And that's it for the 2Ps, for now anyway. We'll try and get a Christmas chapter up either before or closely after Christmas. If not, then Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year to you guys! Thank you so much for the love and support!
