Greetings Comrades,

Let me thank you in advance for taking the time to check out Heroworship. This is kind of a departure from the genres I usually write in and into the Action, more specifically the strange sad world of superheroes and supervillains.  

Like a lot of origin stories this one started out with an errant thought of: "What if...?"  In this case, the thought was: "What would happen if crazy North Korea released a genetic plague in an effort to create mutant super soldiers ...and it worked?"  (Cause I think we can all agree that North Korea is just crazy enough to try anything at this point ...just because they can.)

So over the last couple of weeks as I worked on other projects, I kept finding myself being drawn back into that surreal world of super stupidity. And like a lot of writers, "who are supposed to working on something else",  I started catching myself jotting down story ideas, outlines, and errant pieces of dialogues...ect. And ultimately Heroworship ended up becoming what it is... a sorta strange origin story about one really screwed up sorta Super Villain.

But before you just jump in feet first without looking, I feel I should probably warn you about a few things ahead of time. For starters, there is a lot of profanity, cussing, cursing, swearing, and whatnot. Cause after all what's the point of being a villain, if you can't enjoy the freedom of living outside the normal constraints of a civilized society? So the pervasive language is base, coarse, crude, rude, profane, sexist, sexual...and pretty much every other adjective you can come up with to say "lots and lots of stupid sh*t falling everywhere...for no apparent reason that because."   

So I cannot stress this enough...if you are EASILY TO MODERATELY OFFENDED by a super-powered Kidd who swears up a storm as he stomps the sh*t out of everything that gets in his way to the top ...then this book is probably not for you.    

So with that being said if you decide to venture past this dire warning ...that's on you and I really don't want to hear about it. 

"Warning: this book contains strong language (which might be unsuitable for children), unusual humor (which may be unsuitable for adults), and unprofessional psychological advice (which may be unsuitable for liberal-arts majors). So consider yourself cautioned to exercise some care and cautioned against letting children under the influence think or read unattended.

TV-14 - The following work may contain some material that normal parental units could possibly find unsuitable for children under 13 years of age.

D - Suggestive dialogue (Most defiantly and constantly)

L - Coarse language (Lots of this including but not limited to A, B, C, D, F, , M-F, S ...and of course always our old friend and comrade ...the Z word.)

S - Sexual content (A lot of talking about it ...but not a lot of "that kind of action".)

V - Violence (Yes. But nothing trigger worthy.  Well ...unless you think you are a former fictional super hero...or seriously into LARP.)

So please consider yourself cautioned against letting children under the age of 18 read or think unattended.

Also let me apologize ahead of time for any spelling errors, grammatical errors and/or unintentional incongruities.  Please feel free to point any suck occurrences out in notes, messages or smoke signals, and I will thank you for your kind assistance in helping me make this a better story. (Limit one "thank you" per customer.) And as usual, the following is a work in progress that will probably undergo periodical, if not serial editing changes. I apologize in advance for any unintentional errors or cascading updates, and I thank you for your patience. Also if you are not familiar with my work, you should know that I tend to write long chapter format when the mood suits me, and I will absolutely invent words from time to time as I need them. (See the Z word)

With all that being said ...I hope you have as much fun reading Heroworship as I had writing it.  And for those Villains that actually read this stuff, please remember to show your loyalty to the Start City Crime Syndicate by marking every chapter you read with a GOLD STAR. Oh yeah...OLT.  Do NOT try to steal my sh*t ...or some very very bad things will happen to you and yours.  And while I have long retired from the ranks of the Star City Crime Syndicate ...I still know plenty of Vil's that will hunt you down and do very bad things to you and your loved ones for a small fee. (As little as a few Stars on their own origin story.)
