《 Chapter 10: Ancient Shrine 》

Piles and piles of books could be seen all stacked up. There sitting down was Nuo, who was surrounded by hundreds of books Chiang came over with books in her mouth and placing them next to Nuo. Nuo is in an old bookstore trying to find out more information about the dragon gem because of what happened to the twin demons when they were using it.

After finding nothing, she got up and started walking as she passed by four fuzzy bookworms carrying stacks of books to reshelve.

Soon she found herself flittering down a long row of shelves crammed with dusty books. Under her breath, she read the titles aloud.

"101 Facts Ancient China. Beauty and the Beast."

She shook her head.

"There's got to be a dragon book here somewhere," she mumbled. "Lore Olympus... Seems interesting. I'll take that. War Horse. No...not that. But I'll take it as well."

Her finger trailed along the row of spines as she scanned each title, looking for the right one while taking some books that interest her to buy.

Suddenly, a tattered-looking book caught her eye. She opened it and found that the pages had been chewed through.

"Hey!" she exclaimed, poking her finger through the hole in the page. "Someone's been eating the books!"

Nearby, a chubby bookworm looked up guiltily. A half-eaten page was sticking out of his mouth. He quickly gulped down the paper and inched away.

"Ugh, bookworms." Nuo said, rolling her eyes.

She kept searching until, finally, she struck gold.

"Water Dragon!" she exclaimed.

Nuo reached for the book. It was shaped like a face of a dragon. But before she could grab it, the book magically took flight! Nuo chased after it, causing a commotion throughout the bookstore. The book slammed into stacks and shelves, knocking other books all over the floor. Finally, Nuo pinned it down on one of the sturdy tables.

"Gotcha!" she cried.

A human wearing thick glasses at the next table cleared his throat. He seemed annoyed.

"Oh, sorry," Nuo apologized.

Quietly, she began to flip through the pages. After a moment, she found just what she was looking for.

"Dragon Gem! I knew it!" she cried.

She raised her hands triumphantly. The book took advantage of her distraction and tried to fly off once more. Nuo slammed it back down.

Again, the human with glasses shot Nuo a warning look.

"Sorry! Found it." she whispered.

Then she turned back to the book's explanation of the dragon gem.

"Oh, no!" she exclaimed.

The page that had the answer to Nuo's question was torn out.

"Someone stole the page...!"

As she ponders what to do, she doesn't realize that someone was watching her from behind hidden in a cloak. The hidden figure had overheard her commotion and approached her from behind and was about to grab her by the shoulder as they reach out until Chiang noticed them and growled loudly and let out a small roar, catching her attention. Nuo instantly turned around, only to see that no one was there. Like they never existed.

"Chiang? What's wrong?" Nuo asked, looking back at her Serlot.

Chiang just growls at where the mysterious stranger had gone. Nuo shrugs and looks back at the book and looks over at the same human that told her to be quiet and taps his shoulder

"Pssst." she whispered. "Hi. Do you know anything about dragon gem?"

The human looked up from his book.

"No." he replied. "Somebody tore that page and stole it."

"Yeah, I know." Nuo sighed.

"But the Celestial Dragons does." the boy said.

Nuo perked up at that.

"Celestial Dragons?" she asked.

The human boy pushed his glasses up higher on his nose and pointed to the name of the chapter of the book. In letters, it read CELESTIAL DRAGONS.

"They know about the dragon gem," the fairy told her. "They're the most powerful dragons in all the lands and the ones that created the gem to seal away the Druun."

"That's perfect!" Nuo exclaimed. "Do you know where they are?"

The boy chuckled.

"I would give anything to see them and talk to them. But you can't."

He looked down sadly.

"Why not?"

"They disappeared after sealing away the Druun. No one knows exactly where they are and you can't find them because they're off the map. If you want to learn more about the gem, you have to find the ancient temple. It's where it used to be a shrine for the dragons."

When Nuo looked at him expectantly, the boy continued and brought out something.

"You'll find it through here"

He points to the location of the ancient temple on the map.

"Good luck with finding your answer. No one has ever set foot in that place."

"The ancient temple." Nuo whispered.

She quickly thanked the boy and quickly bought some books and ride straight home with Chiang. Little did she know, the mysterious stranger watches her from afar before quietly following her.

"I have to see the ancient temple!" she thought eagerly.

Somehow, that temple is the only one who can tell her why the dragon gem starts acting differently around demons and other people.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"You're going on a trip?" Mk asked, watching her pack her stuff.
"We could gladly come with you." Mei suggested.
"Sorry, guys. I appreciate it, but this is something I need to do on my own." Nuo said, placing her bag full of food inside the backpack.
"You sure traveling alone is safe?" Pigsy asked with a hint of worry.
"Don't worry. I have Chiang."
Chiang lifts her head high with pride. As soon as she's sure she got everything, Nuo hops onto her Serlot. She turns to her friends.
"I'll be back. I'll even bring you guys back some souvenirs."
Mk was unsure at first, not because he doesn't trust her, he's more worried about that crazy Draven that's out to get her. He stares at her to see him smiling at him to show that she can handle herself.
"Alright. Just... be careful and stay hidden." Mk sighed in defeat.
Nuo nods before clicking her tongue to get her cat to start running as Chiang did. She smiles back at her friends and rides from the city and into the jungle. Chiang sprints down a path and leaps between branches. Above the canopy, the sun fades into a moon. Nuo is leaning against a sleeping Chiang near a crackling fire she made, holding a map while eating her dinner. She later yawns after eating and studying the map.
"I think we're getting close to the temple, Chiang."
Nuo's eyes drifts closed and rests against her Serlot. From the darkness, a dark figure slowly approaches Nuo and takes the map from her hand and sets it on the fire. The stranger chuckles evilly before scurrying away. What she didn't know is that she's being followed as a moonlight reveals a familiar scar on their cheek as they smirk.
"That's low, sir. But thrilling." one of them said through the darkness.
"Sometimes a cat likes to play with his food. And when their spirit comes down..."
They strike at the branch, breaking it into splinters. The next morning, Nuo wakes up and yawns, stretching herself. She looks around to see it was now daylight and looks down to see that she doesn't have the map. In panic, Nuo searches into her backpack and other bags, only to find nothing.
"Oh, no!! The map! Where's the map?!"
This causes Chiang to wake up to hear her yell. Nuo then spots a piece of the burned map. She gasps and picks it up.
"No, no, no!! What are we gonna do? I can't find the temple without the map!"
Chiang groans, facepalming herself with her paw. Nuo breathes in and out to calm herself before sighing.
"I-It's fine. We'll... find the way somehow." she assured, hopping onto Chiang.
They walk through the jungle once again, trying to find a right direction that will lead them to a temple. Everything feels like hours for them as Nuo decides to take a break near the waterfall where the pond is. She takes a sip of the water by scooping them up with her hands. Chiang hears a rustling sound coming from the bushes. She approaches it and then a rabbit hops out of the bush. Chiang smirks and gets into a pouncing stance with a low snarl. The rabbit turns and shrieks then bolts down a path. Chiang gives chase as it skids under a log and weaves past trees. She's now closing in on the rabbit as she opens her jaw in midair. The rabbit then quickly hops into the piles of leaves as Chiang jumps through. On the other side, Chiang finds the rabbit gone and spits out some leaves, growling angrily.
She was about to go back to Nuo when she hears something. Chiang gets into her defensive stance and growls, looking around the forest. When she turns, she was only met with a flying net and tranquilizers. Nuo hears Chiang's cry and hurries after her. She runs as fast as she can until she finds Chiang trapped in a net. Her Serlot struggles to fight back and Nuo notices the tranquilizers on her back as more shot her until she eventually passes out.
"Chiang!"
She was about to free her when she heard a familiar voice that made her freeze.
"Well, well, well, did you really think you can escape me?"
Nuo turns to see Draven walking out of the shadows with a smirk on his face as soldiers joins him and brings out their weapons. She transforms into a water dragon and growls at the hunters. They surround and attack Nuo when she tosses them aside like rag dolls, eyes focused on Draven. Draven grabs his axe and charges. She ducks from his swing and pounces on him as they tumble over end. Draven manages to pin and readies to cut her when Nuo manages to knock him away, using her tail as Draven flips backwards then lands. He snarls at her and leaps back behind his soldiers. They aim their crossbows at her.
"Oh, great..."
"Good night, dragon." Draven smirked before snapping his fingers.
The soldiers fire at Nuo and she runs to stay out of their path, moving faster and faster. Draven laughs and brings out his dagger and sends it down to Nuo. Nuo bats it away with her claws, but the next one hits her horn, knocking her back a bit. Another one stabs her on the leg, making her yell in pain. Then, a spear was thrown towards her and she barely was able to dodge that in time as it strikes her on the chest, leaving a big scratch. Nuo collapses on the ground, gritting her teeth in pain. Draven approaches her when he finds her looking up at him with a glare and throws out ice daggers with her waterbending. Draven slices them off with his sword he brings out. He growls and stomps towards her then kicks her down.
"Fun time is over, dragon."
Nuo groans in pain and tries to get up when the soldiers shoots out nets towards her and ties her up, tightening them. She struggles to get out of these binds. Draven clicks his tongue, shaking his head and bringing out a tape measure. He measures Nuo's dragon body and then her head.
"You will never fit in the carry-on..."
Draven then brings out a saw, much to her horror.
"But your head will!"
He then lets out a crazy laughter as he raises his saw, ready to cut her head off. Nuo closes her eyes for the blow when somebody shouted.
"Hey!"
Draven stops and turns to the direction of where the voice was and the trees starts rustling and shaking loudly. The soldiers readies their weapons until the trees bursts open to reveal a demon lion with azure skin with spiky orange shoulder-length hair, two tufts at the front are tied with purple bands. He has pink eyes, along with thick orange eyebrows and orange facial hair. He also has sharp fangs, a broad chest, and feline knees. The demon lion draws out his sword and growls at them.
"Leave her alone."
Draven scoffs in anger.
"Like I'll ever listen to a demon! Kill him! But save the head for my next trophy!"
The guards didn't hesitate to charge at the demon lion. He stands there calmly and then kicks three of the soldiers away, sending them flying into the trees. One tries to attack him with his sword when the demon lion blocks his sword with his and disarms him then punches him in the face. The soldier falls to the ground unconscious from that hard punch. The demon lion turns to the last solider, who starts firing arrows at him. He gracefully deflects them off with his sword while dodging them, getting closer to the solider. The soldier kept firing and firing, but it was no use against the demon lion as he grabs him by the face and tosses him to the side where the down soldiers are. He finally turns to Draven, who brings out his sword. They stood there, glaring each other. Without warning, demon lion leapt forward, Draven doing the same. They met in the center and Draven aimed his sword at him, but the demon lion blocked it. He spun around, blocking his next swing. He lunged his sword towards the demon lion's face, but he blocked his with his blade of his sword. A second later, he slices Draven's sword, breaking the blade since his sword is more powerful than his.
Draven was shock at this and the demon lion took that advantage and punched him in the torso, knocking him back. Demon lion approaches him when Draven pulls out a big spiked hammer. With a snarl, Draven charges and they come together with a spray of sparks as the demon lion holds back the hammer with his sword. He dodges Draven's blows then the hammer makes contact and he flips to a top of the tree. Draven jumps after and raises his hammer with laughter. The demon lion ducks from it and charges. But the human beats the demon lion back a few times then knocks back his sword. The demon lion catches it. Draven laughs again as he goes to finish him off when the demon lion grits his teeth and throws his sword at Draven's hammer, knocking the human back as his hammer falls to the ground. Draven looks up in horror as the demon lion's sword flies back to him and he catches it. The demon lion glares daggers at him and raises his sword. He falters a bit to see fear on the human's face. He tightens his grip on his sword and Draven trembles. The demon lion snarls and drops the sword on the bark of the tree right besides Draven's head. Draven gasps at how close the blade is with a cold sweatdrop on his face.
"Go. Never come back." the demon lion ordered.
Draven nods and hurries off with the soldiers trailing after him. The demon lion leaps down and turns to Nuo. Nuo had manages to shapeshift into a human to free herself from the net with as much strength as she could, but she could still feel pain as she noticed a dagger is still stuck on her leg. Visions begins to blur and she turns to see the big figure approaching her. She later blacks out.
Nuo opens her eyes to find herself being carried away in bridal style in one arm as her head was resting against his broad chest. She looks up to see the same demon lion that saved her life. His pink eyes were looking straight ahead as he was focusing on where he was heading as he appears to know where he was going. She then looks around to find Chiang being carried over his shoulder on the other side like it was no problem. Nuo later closes her eyes again, feeling tired.
An hour later, Nuo opens her eyes and finds herself covered in blanket. She glances over to see the demon lion sitting near the campfire as he appears to be cooking something as she could smell something good. She then sees Chiang curled up, sleeping soundly. She appears to be okay and fine and Nuo could see her paw wrapped up. Nuo carefully removes her blanket to find herself also wrapped up in bandages from where her wounds are along with her leg. The demon lion stands up and walks over to the lake with a bowl in hand. His feet hits the water as it goes up his ankles, heading towards the small waterfall. He carefully places the bowl under it, letting the water flow into it. Once it's full, he walks out of the lake towards Nuo, who looks up to him. The demon lion kneels over to her level and holds the bowl up. She stares at him.
"Drink."
Nuo stares at him suspiciously, which the demon lion chuckles in amusement.
"It's not poisonous if that's what you think."
After moments of hesitation, Nuo takes a sip of the water from the bowl with the demon lion helping out by tipping the bowl over for her to keep on drinking. As soon as she's finished drinking, he removes the bowl from her and places it on the ground before turning back to the campfire that's still cooking. Nuo watches him at the mysterious stranger that saved her and Chiang.
"Thank you... for saving our life."
The demon lion turns to her and smiles softly.
"You're welcome."
He looks back to his cooking and he looks sure the food is good, he scoops up something and places it into a new bowl and hands it to her. Nuo looks down to see he had cooked Pho Ramen. She tries it and her eyes widens. She immediately starts digging in.
"This is really good."
"Thanks. I tried my best." he said, slurping his noodles.
The two enjoyed the meal in silence as the sun was now down and moon starts rising. The demon lion stares at her as she happily drinks up the soup.
"Forgive me for asking, but are you one of the lost dragons?"
Nuo burps and turns to him with confusion.
"What do you mean?"
"Celestial Dragons all had children before they disappeared. Though, ever since then, the dragon bloodlines have begin to decline in the last 100 years." he explained.
She grows concerned.
"Why? What happened to them?"
The demon lion goes silent as he appears look sad as he doesn't know what exactly happened to those dragons or what or who was causing it.
"Sadly, no one knows. But there was a prophecy spoken by the heavens a long time ago."
Nuo leans over to listen as he starts the story.
"When four Celestial Dragons disappears, two new dragons will emerge. One born from another world and the other risen from the darkness. Together, those two will unite the people, humans, demons, and celestial beings, together and defeat the great evil that wold consume the world in stone and ash. Only then, would it not only bring balance but to hopefully bring back the dragons that are gone for years."
As soon as he finishes explaining, she was amazed.
"Wow."
"Yeah."
For some reason, Nuo could trust him as he appears to be genuine and kind.
"What's your name?"
He stares at her before answering.
"Azure. Azure Lion."
"I'm Nuo. And that's Chiang, my Serlot."
"Nuo... Nice name. And Serlot??" Azure said, tilting his head.
"It's kind of a long story. But I'm not from around here nor my cat. I'm from my home called Kumandra. And I'm a water dragon."
Azure was surprised at this and repeated her word.
"Kumandra?"
Nuo smiles and begins to explain about her home and her dragon families and human friends. Azure was speechless and asked her many questions as she happily answers them. Before they knew it, they're now having a good conversation and fell asleep. Though as they sleep, Azure begins to wonder and have hope that Nuo could be the one from the prophecy after learning about her and her home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The next morning, Azure and Nuo woke up and then Chiang, who appears to be cautious around Azure at first until she warmed up to him after Nuo assured her that he's good.

"Why exactly are you traveling out here?" Azure asked.

"I'm here to find the answer to the dragon gem. Somehow I discovered that the shards the demons tried to wield only gives them pain, but when I touched them I never got hurt as it only gives me more powers." Nuo explained, holding up the small bottle of the dragon gem shards that are now half-full. "In order for that, I need to find the ancient temple that used to be a shrine."

"You mean this?"

He hold up the map.

"Yes."

Azure goes silent for a moment before taking out something that shocked her. There in his hand is the big chunk of the dragon gem shard.

"You're not the only trying to find answers."

"How did you-?"

Azure appears to be guilty as he glances to the side.

"I... might have been the one to steal this page."

He holds up the paper that was torn off from the book.

"And might have... followed you."

Now Nuo appears to be alarmed.

"You're not... going to rob me, aren't you?"

Azure immediately shook his head.

"No, no, no, no! Not really. I was hoping to see you and talk to you since I heard rumors about you and your abilities."

Nuo stares at him suspiciously for any threats or lies from him, but after finding nothing she calms down.

"Okay, I believe you. So, you're going to help me find the temple? Is that why you're here?"

"Absolutely. I wanted to know about the dragon gem as much as you do. I once tried to wield the power to... bring back my brothers, but it only caused me tremendous pain."

Nuo frowns.

"You're trying to find your brothers? What happened to them?"

Azure appears to be sadden.

"They were... sealed away somewhere. I've been searching for them for years and when I found that dragon gem shard, I was hoping it would give me an answer to help me find them."

"I am so sorry."

He clenches his fist.

"It's okay. I know they're still out there, I just... have to keep on searching."

"I will gladly help you reunite with them."

Azure turns to her in surprise.

"You... would really do that?"

"Of course! Families comes first."

He chuckles softly.

"You're truly kind."

"I've been told. A lot." Nuo said sheepishly.

Azure gets up and stretches before bringing out a hand.

"You ready to go?"

Nuo stands up and nods with determination.

"Yeah."

Nuo packs her things and then hops on top of Chiang, who smirks at Azure and huffs encouragingly. She helps him up as he sits behind her. The trio crosses the snowy mountain range, a dark bat filled cave, a damp, mossy jungle, and a sunny forest. They later walk through a green field, cross the rope bridge, and verse rocky terrain as they journey on. They then reach a hilltop dotted with blue flower trees and patches on long grass. Suddenly, Azure hears Nuo's stomach rumble.

"Oh, lunch break?"

"You don't need to ask me twice." Nuo panted as Chiang collapses on the ground.

Nuo slams food bag on the ground, but didn't expect to hear a muffled voice.

"Ow!"

She stops and stares at her bag, recognizing that voice.

"Bai He?"

"Who?" Azure questioned.

Nuo gets upset.

"Bai He..."

She opens the food bag and sees Bai He inside as she gives her a nervous smile.

"Yes?"

"What are you doing here?"

"What am I doing?"

Bai He gets out of the bag and lands.

"Getting a dizziness. Did you have to jump every time?"

"No, I mean why are you here?"

Bai He looks down.

"I just wanted to come with you. Spend more time with you."

Nuo softens and pats her head. Bai He turns to Azure.

"Who's that?"

"That's Azure. Azure Lion. Azure meet Bai He." Nuo introduced.

Azure kneels down to her level and smiles.

"Nice to meet you, kid."

Bai He smiles back shyly.

"You too, sir. Is it alright if I come with? I promise I'll be good."

Nuo sighs in defeat.

"Sure. There's no turning back now. Wait... how long have you been inside that bag?"

Bai He looks guilty.

"A while and I may or may not have eaten all the food you left inside that bag. And saw you as a dragon and other more."

Nuo felt like the world crumbles before her.

"Great..."

Azure and Nuo and Chiang then eat their lunch while sharing some for Bai He before they started moving. Bai He hops onto Chiang.

"Stay close to us." Nuo warned.

"Yeah. It would be cruel to make her fly you back to your home." Azure said, walking ahead.

Bai He turns to Nuo and gasps.

"You can fly?"

"I'm a dragon, kid." Nuo pointed out with a smile.

Moving on, Nuo, Bai He, Chiang, and Azure climb the cliff ends and shuffle along the rock shelf. Later, they look to the top of the waterfall high above them. Azure checks the map before looking back up.

"This is it."

Nuo stares at the waterfall and smirks. She turns to Azure and Bai He.

"You two might wanna hold onto Chiang."

The two were confused, but did as they were told as they hop onto Chiang and holds onto the reigns. Chiang knew where this was going as Nuo begins waterbending herself and everyone up in a massive water cyclone. Azure yells in surprise while Bai He cheers. They erupt from beneath and make their way toward the top of the waterfall. They later landed and were surprised at the sight before them. In front of them was a beautiful grand dragon temple covered with gold and blue green dragon statues on each sides of the stairs.

"Whoa!" awed the group.

They hop off of Chiang and starts exploring the temple. Bai He starts taking pictures from her phone. They see nothing inside but a Buddha statue in the middle. They later look at the back of the temple where they can see a picture of the tree on the wall.

Nuo looked at the water patterns on the floor. Suddenly, she felt something and pulled out her small jar to see the shards glowing along with Azure's, who brings it out. At the same time, the water patterns began to glow the same color of the shard. Bai He gasps in awe as Nuo and Azure approaches the patterns and steps on each side. Then it lights up and the ground opens up and something rises. When the light dies down, they see a dragon scroll on the pedestal.

Nuo cautiously approaches it and takes the scroll as the pedestal rise back down into the ground. Azure, Nuo, and Bai He, who takes a quick pic, all sat down as Nuo opened the scroll and unrolls it to reveal words and some pictures of the dragons. But what caught their attention was two different dragons facing off against the Druun and a bone person with a dragon gem floating above them.

"That's the prophecy you spoke about!" Nuo gasped.

"They must've foreseen the future." Azure said in realization.

"And look here! If the spirit of the wielder is not strong enough to withstand the power of the dragon gem, then the power will become soon become unbearable pain until the user's body is destroyed... Only the ones that have strong will could use their power, including the Celestial Dragons."

"Only with strong will? I do have strong will! I am a legendary warrior who has pure heart! I have this majestic sword, too!" Azure exclaimed.

"Or you're just not strong enough~" teased Nuo.

"I so am!" Azure pouted, causing her and Bai He to giggle.

"At least, we know only I can wield the power and maybe that other dragon can too if what you said is true about the prophecy." Nuo concluded, closing the scroll and placing it in her bag.

"We should probably stay here for the night. It's almost sundown." Azure said, staring ahead.

"Good idea."

Before they knew it, they're now sleeping near the campfire after eating their dinner. Though not everyone is asleep as Nuo appears to be staring up at the night sky for a while, wondering about the prophecy. But what she's more thinking about is what exactly happened to those dragons? They all look like her and her kind as far as she can see it when she was reading the scroll and could see what the four celestial dragons look like. Even if she did succeed in saving the world, what would happen next? Will she be able to go home? That is not solved yet, but at the same time it makes her sad that she will have to go back home and leave her friends behind. They were already like a family to her, like she had finally found her true purpose.

Sighing, she gets up and looks at Azure, Bai He, and Chiang to make sure they're still sleeping before standing up and walking away. Little did she know, Bai He gets up after her, feeling thirsty when she finds Nuo is not on her sleeping mat. She looks around and runs off as she goes through the tall grass and eventually finds Nuo sitting by the rock in the middle of the water with columns of rocks around her. Nuo's ears perked up and turned to Bai He.

"Come here. I want to show you something."

Bai He carefully hops onto the small rocks and stands next to Nuo.

"What is it?"

"Here."

Nuo gestures to the flower that's not bloomed yet, but they could see a small glimpse of light inside.

"This is the Heart of the Dragon. A rare and very special flower. I almost forgot how beautiful they are in my home."

Bai He stares at it curiously.

"Why is it called the Heart of the Dragon?"

"Like the dragon, it's connected to water."

"Doesn't look so special."

Nuo chuckles.

"Watch."

She takes a small scoop of water with her hand and pours onto the not bloomed flower. The flower begins to bloom as the light inside begins to spread. Bai He gasps at the sight. It later blooms beautifully into the Heart of the Dragon with blue glow in the middle of the flower.

"Wow! It is special."

"And look."

Nuo points out as more flowers bloom all around them, glowing.

"Each flower responds to the light of the other."

"One flower made all those light up?"

"Yes."

Bai He looks down at the water as the glowing flowers reflects on. The more lights are shown, the more as they appear to be thousands of stars through the galaxy. Bai He looks back up and was amazed as the lights brings out a blue glow where they can see beauty all around the land.

"One light can light a thousand more. That's what the dragons did. They inspired light and hope in all the people around them." Nuo explained, wrapping her arm around the little girl, who leans against her. "The dragons may be gone, but it's up to us to keep the light alive."

She takes small bundles of glowing petals from the middle of the flower and places them into Bai He's hands. Bai He blows them as they fly away into the night sky. Nuo and Bai He watches with smiles on their faces. Azure and Chiang could be seen watching them as well, smiling.

"I wish the whole world could see this." Bai He said.

"Maybe one day you'll show them." Nuo said.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next day, Nuo, Bai He, Azure, and Chiang charts through the forest. They eventually reach the edge of the cliff where they can see the city of Megapolis. Nuo turns to Azure, who gets off of Chiang.
"Thanks for your help, Azure. Really. If there's anything I can repay you, name it."
"There's no need for repayment. Helping those in need is what I do best." Azure assured her. "Besides, I... have fun surprisingly and it's... been a long time since I have some company."
Nuo smiles knowingly. Azure turns to Chiang and pets her head.
"Take care of each other."
Chiang nods with a huff as Azure turns to Bai He.
"You be safe, kid."
She nods and gives him a hug, surprising him. He smiles and hugs back. Azure turns to Nuo.
"I hope you found what you're looking for. Be careful. I have a feeling this won't be the last time we see each other."
"I will. And I hope you will be able to free your brothers."
Azure nods back and his eyes widens and grabs something from his pocket. He pulls out a big shard and hands it to Nuo.
"You're... giving it to me?"
"I thought you might need it."
"But..."
"No worries. I'll find some other ways to bring them back. No magic required."
Nuo grips onto the shard, feeling another power,
"Well, if we're going to give each other's gifts, it's fair that I do the same."
Nuo looks around in her bag and stops to see something that made her smile a little before turning to Azure. She holds up the golden dragon charm necklace that belonged Namaari.
The small golden dragon charm is an relevance of Sisu while the blue colored gem placed in the center of it serves as the Dragon Gem.
"Your necklace?"
"This necklace once belonged to my friend before giving to another as a sign of friendship. I thought I'd give it to you since you're my friend."
He feels touched as Nuo puts on the necklace around his neck. Azure touches it and face her.
"See you around, Nuo."
"You too, Azure."
With that, the two parted ways, knowing they'll see each other again.
