Once we got to the gym, we realized that it was different. Instead of just concrete, there were things in the way like bridges and trees that made it look like something in the U.S.J. Aizawa explained that they decided to switch it up for once before we got into our teams. Tokoyami with Bakugou, Kaminari with Sero, Mineta with Shoji, Tsuyu with Ochako, Hagakure with Koda, Jirou with Aoyama, Momo with Iida, Todoroki with Sato, Ojirou with Mina, and, of course, Midoriya with me.

  "Alright, listen closely because I'm only going to say this once," Aizawa started. "Momo and Iida, you guys and Ojirou and Mina are group one. You'll fight first. Todoroki and Sato, you guys are group two with Jirou and Aoyama. You'll go next. Tsuyu and Ochaco, and Kaminari and Sero are group three. Bakugou and Tokoyami, and Midoriya and Kirishima are group four. And finally, Mineta and Shouji, you guys are group five with Hagakure and Koda."

  "Who's ready to fight!" Mina yelled.

  "Good luck guys, you're paired with some of the smartest people in class." Sero said while draping his arm on Mina's shoulder.

  "We still have a chance though." Mina pushed his arm off. "Besides, you guys have to go against Ochako and Tsuyu. They can lift you both into the air and slam you to the ground before you could even know what hit you."

  "Come on Mina! The round is going to start!" Ojirou called after her.

  "Coming! Bye guys. Wish us luck!" We gave our pink friend a thumbs up before she ran off to fight.

  They lost, horribly. The round was over within minutes thanks to Momo making a weighted net so they couldn't move. After them, Aoyama's group defeated Todoroki's, which was surprising. Tsuyu and Ochako won, no surprise there. Finally, before I knew it, it was my turn. "Are you ready Ei?" Midoriya asked me.

  "Yeah. I'm just kinda nervous. I mean, we're going up against Bakugou and Tokoyami. They both have long range quirks so we're in trouble."

  "I agree. Let's just find them and get this over as soon as possible."

  "Yeah. Let's go."

  Midoriya and I kept out a watchful eye as we looked around the place. We haven't spoke since we've started and we've been in an awkward silence ever since until he started talking. "Hey, Ei? Are you and Kacchan still dating?"

  I sighed. "I don't know, to be honest. I love him, but Mina said that we need to take a break for a while, and I can't help but agree with her. I'm conflicted on what I should do."

  "So, you guys aren't dating?" Midoriya asked and I simply shrugged my shoulder with a sigh as we aproached a bridge with a long drop. "I know that this is sudden, but would you like to go out with me?"

"What?" I stopped in my tracks and turned around to face the green-haired teen with surprise.

  "I said, would you like to go out with me?" Midoriya looked at me.

  I started to laugh. "Funny." I stopped when I noticed that I was the only one who was laughing. Oh no... "I don't believe this." I shook my head and walked onto the bridge. "No! I just 'broke up' with Bakugou yesterday and you're already wondering if I want to date you?"

  "What?" He started to follow me. "Technically, you two didn't break up yet, but you guys weren't doing well so I thought that I would ask."

  "I- I- I made a mistake. I have to go talk to him." I walked halfway across the bridge before I heard him speak.

  "Eijirou! H-"

  "No! You don't get to call me that anymore." I started to use my quirk subconsciously, it happens if I'm angry. "Just go back and I'll finish the mission by myself." I threw my arms outwards, and heard a loud ccrrrkk. My eyes widened as the bridge fell our from beneath my feet. I was glad that my body hardened on itself.

  I sat up and held my head, trying to wrap it around what just happened. "Midoriya, are you alright?" I opened my eyes and turned to look at the other side of the bridge. My eyes grew wide and I stood up once I saw him facing doen in s puddle of his own blood.

  "Midoriya!" I ran over and fell to my knees in front of him. My eyes darted from the puddle, to his head. I was afraid to lift it. Could I be less heroic?

  I heard footsteps and I looked up to see Aizawa on the rockside, lowering himself down with his scarf, Tokoyami and Bakugou not far from him. All Might was at the top, trying to find a way to get down. "Let me see him." Aizawa spoke. I handed him Midoriya face-downed and he looked up. "Tokoyami, can you help me and tell Dark Shadow to lift us up?"

  "Yes sir." Tokoyami ordered Dark Shadow to lift up Aizawa and Midoriya to safety. I watched as they left me there all alone. That's what I thought until a hand touched my shoulder. I flinched and looked up to see Bakugou. He sat down next to me.

  "What happened?" There was no viciousness behind his words, but I couldn't say that there was kindness either.

  "The-the bridge broke." I felt myself start to shake. I crossed my arms, hoping that it would stabilize me. "I broke it. My quirk was activated and-and I swung. I wasn't aware that I was that close to the posts. I thought that he was fine-"

  "You're bleeding Sharky." I looked down and noticed that I was digging my fingernails into my arm, drawing blood in the process. "Let's take you to Recovery Girl or whatever." He stood and helped me up. I grabbed onto him and we didn't say anything as he launched us into the air with his quirk and we landed safely on the grass. I let go and followed him in silence out of the training area.

  "What happened?" Uraraka rushed to us with Tsuyu, Momo, Jirou, Sero, and Kaminari next to her.

  "Yeah, they just carried what I think was Midoriya away, but it was hard to tell because he had a white sheet over his body. Plus, we watched it all happen on the T.V, kero." Tsuyu spoke.

  Before I could speak, Bakugou grabbed my wrist. "If you already watched it all happen, then why ask him?" He pushed past the crowd with me trailing behind.

  "We barely saw it. All we got was of the post breaking before Mr. Aizawa shut it off." Kaminari said.

  I stared down and suddenly the ground got closer than it should have.

  "Eijirou! Ejirou, are you okay?" I was shaken awake by Katsuki. I blinked and looked at him. "Thank god. I thought you died, or something."

  I put my hand on his, which has made it's way from my shoulder to my cheek. "Is Mido okay?"

  He turned his head away. "Are you hungry?" I noticed that there were tear marks on his cheek and I sat up, removing his hand in the process.

  "Where's Midoriya?"

  "I'll get you a sandwich. You like meat, right?"

  "Kat-"

  "I'll put cheese on it too. I'll be back." As Katsuki stood up, I grabbed his hand, making him look at me.

  "Where is Midoriya?" I asked harshly. I felt like it was the only way that he would take me seriously.

  Katsuki gave me a look that was along the lines of, 'I don't want to talk about it', and 'I want to tell you everything'. Eventually, when I let go of his arm, he sat back down on the bed and faced me, regret written all over his face. "Ei, he's gone."

Author's note- Wow. I've been gone for forever. Sorry about that guys! By the way, my sister posted a story and it's great! To sum it all up, a guy's quitk infects some kids in Class 1-A that turns them into their halloween costumes and stuff happens. So far, there is one really long chapter so you don't get an ad halfway through the book multiple times. I highly recommend checking it out.
