Them: us?

Me: Yeppers! I don't own anything besides the plot people!

Shuffling was heard in the bushes. Startled, Will jumped back, only to bump into...

"NICO?!"

The son of Hades, who hadn't noticed him yet, fell back in shock.

"Will..?" Nico asked. Though he would never admit it, Capture The Flag terrified him. Why? Because no matter how hard he tried, the image of Bianca's soul never left his mind. Playing a game like Capture The Flag or the war games back at Camp Jupiter reminded him of her death.

"Oh my gods, thank goodness it's just you, Nico." Will breathed out a sigh of relief.

Nico stared at the boy with a slightly offended expression. But before Will could notice, an Ares kid suddenly jumped out of the bush, the spear in their hands aimed for Will midsection.

"WILL, NO!" Nico exclaimed, shadow-travelling to Will's back and taking the hit for him. Nico fell to the ground as the Ares kid pulled out his spear and Nico began to bleed out. The Ares kid stared at Nico's pale, skinny and bloody body on the grass. He just killed his own teammate! Then again, that would serve as a good distraction for the ace healer of camp, who had fallen to his knees in shock and had tears streaming down his face. Scared that Will was going to shoot light beams out his stomach like Nico had told everyone, the Ares kid ran.

Will watched Nico's body as it bled and began panicking. He didn't want to lose his boyfriend. 

"No... Nico,  wake up... come on," he muttered as he tried using his healing powers on Nico. However, Nico's laboured breathing only worsened his nerves. Too stressed to work on healing Nico, Will picked him up and carried him bridal style to the infirmary. "Nico you idiot! I could've healed myself!" Will exclaimed as he rushed to the infirmary.

▪︎ONE DAY LATER▪︎

Nico's eyes fluttered open. He felt slightly disoriented as he tried to remember what had happened before he passed out. Then it hit him.

"Will!" He exclaimed as he shot up in the... infirmary bed?

Will, who had fallen asleep waiting for Nico to wake up, was awoken by the noise. He looked at his now conscious boyfriend and let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding as he wrapped his arms around Nico.

"Oh thank the GODS you're okay. What were you thinking, playing the hero? I could've healed myself! I was worried sick, you know that!" Will exclaimed as Nico's expression softened.

"Yeah, well, I got your back." Nico stated. As much as he HATED physical contact, he was going to let it slide. Just this once.

"I hate you, you know that." Will mumbled.

"...Love you too"
