Cal's POV

"Alright, that's it for now class. And there's the bell. have a nice lunch, I'll see you later." The teacher said, smiling at us, as they walked out
The class instantly burst into chatter, some rushing for the door. I noticed some of the girls stop to greet Bryan, some even placed some presents on his desk. But they all hurried out when Rose stood up.
Bryan smiled at Rose, who completely ignored him, walking out of with Drannus.
"Wait Ros-"
They slammed the door shut. Bryan stared at the door, before looking down, sighing.
Besides Bryan, Only me and my friends, Inpu, Xylo, Ashara, Kaiba, and Magnus were left. We usually all brought our meals, so we ate together in the classroom most of the time. Much calmer.
I saw Bryan place his hands his hands on his desk, as Inpu stood up
"H-hey, Bryan, if you want, you can eat with us!" Inpu said. Bryan looked at him, and I noticed small tears in his eyes.
"R-really? Y-y-you mean i-it?"
"Making a rash choice for all of us aren't you Inpu? But I can't say I mind, so sure, you can eat with us new kid." Kaiba said, smiling as he leaned back in his seat.
"Wait, when did we agree to th-" Xylo started. I leaned over and hit him on the head.
"Of course you can eat with us Bryan." I said, smiling at the wheelchair bound boy. Of course you can eat with us Bryan." I said, smiling at the wheelchair bound boy, moving my chair as I did.
The others followed my example, and we ended sitting around Bryan's desk, the new boy smiling nervously at us.
"We already know your name, but allow us to introduce ourselves. Let's go around. My name is Ashara." Ashara started.
"I'm Cal. Nice to meet you Bryan." I said.
"It's nice to meet you too!"
"I'm Inpu, and this is my sibling, Magnus." Inpu cut in, quickly, smiling a bit nervously. I examined him, noticing a light dusting of blush on his cheeks
Inpu, you just met him, don't tell me you're already crushing...
I shook my head, zoning out as the others introduced themselves, and started getting out their lunches. As they did, I realized something
"Oh- Bryan, do you have anything to eat?" I asked
He shook his head, smiling sadly
"N-no, but it's okay, I'm a bit used to skipping lunch..."
Taht made everyone pause, to look at Bryan.
"What do you mean?" Kaiba asked "why would you not eat at lunch..?"
"Oh well, s-sometimes Rose forgets to get something ready for me.. it's okay though! I understand, they have a l-lot on their mi-mind."
"Hold on, how are you and Rose related?" Xylo cut in, taking a bite of his sandwich. I flicked his forehead, hissing "wait for everyone else to start." He rubbed his forehead, and smiled sheepishly at me.
"Sorry.."
"Anyways, he does ask a good question. How are you two related..?" I turned back to Bryan.
"Oh! We're cousins. Rose is also my caretaker. I've lived with Rose s-since... since..." he fell silent, looking down
"Hey, it's okay, you don't have to talk about it." Inpu said, reaching up, and gently held  Bryan's face.
Oh-
He was crying.
"you can have some of my lunch! I don't mind sharing." Inpu said, smiling.
"O-oh! N-no, really, it's o-okay, I'll be f-fine!" Bryan said raising his hands.
"No, really, I insist, you need to eat." Inpu said, nudging some of his food over to Bryan. "Hey, love birds, Should we give you two some privacy?" Kaiba said, grinning mischievously
Both Bryan and Inpu's faces were promptly covered in a bright blush, and they looked away from each other.
I smiled, hearing some of the others start laughing.
Bryan was a good fit to our group.

Drannus's POV
"Your cousin's even wimpier than I thought he'd be" I said, sipping from my soda, as Rosey groaned, leaning against the wall.
"Do not fucking make me think for of him please. He's already taken what little peace I had left, if you can call school "peace"" they said, opening their soda
"How are you two even related? He's a little bitch, and you're.. well, actually, you're a bitch, I see the resemblance now." I said, smirking at him.
"OH FUCK YOU DICKHEAD!" I laughed, and ducked as Rose threw a punch at me.
"Kidding, Kinda. Anyways wanna talk about something actually interesting?" I said.
"Please. Say.. you see the news yesterday?" He asked, getting an odd look in his eyes.
"You mean the attack? Yeah, I did... is it weird I was sorta rooting for that.. fucking, lord beetle guy? Like, sure. He's an asshole, but he's a stylish, and fun asshole, you know? And getting the cops that annoyed? Respect." I said, looking up.
Dranne had been absolutely horrified when watching the news, but I couldn't take my eyes off it. Being able to cause taht much trouble, and strut away... that was a power move.
"Same. See, this i why I tolerate you moron. You get me." Rose said, grinning. I grinned back.
"Villains are just more interesting. Also, those heroes? Tacky as hell."
Rose snorted, grinning
"Say. If you were the villain... where would you attack next?"
I thought for a second, sipping from my soda. "I'd attack a school. Partially cause I want to see this guy in action up close, and partially cause you get a lot of leverage from holding the future generation hostage, you know?" I said, after a few moments of silence.
Rose was silent for a bit, seeming to think it through, before grinning. They opened their mouth to speak, but I cut them off
"Maybe even attack multiple schools."
"You're a criminal mastermind" Rose said, punching my arm lightly.
"Why thank you, I will write to you when I'm prison" I shoved them
"Bitch, you better not, you think I give a fuck about you?" They answered, stumbling a bit.
"That's why I'll write. You're never getting rid of me."
"Fuck y-... oh fuck."
I looked up as he cussed, quickly understanding.
Rose's wimpy cousin had just been wheeled out. By a specific group of annoying nerds I recognized, unfortunately.
"Honestly, should have figured they'd bond. They're all losers." I said
"Oh greaaaat, Bryan getting attached to.... Bryan getting attached to people." Rose said, his tone shifting halfway through, and a familiar look crossing their face
"You have that look on your face. That look that says 'I have a plan to ruin someone's life' and I want in." Rose grinned at me.
"Do what I tell you, when I tell you. Come on."
I trailed after Rose, as they walked over to their cousin, who was happily talking to the other losers. I grinned as Rose grabbed the wheelchair, making Bryan squeak in surprise, and, ignoring the losers's complaints, pulled Bryan away. I stepped forward, to prevent Xylo from punching Rose
"Oi, tell your jerk of a friend to bring back Bryan! We were talking to him!" Xylo said
I shrugged. "Yeah? He needs to talk to his cousin, stop being clingy." I answered
"He could have, I don't know, said that instead of just dragging him away without any warning?"

Inpu's POV
I growled as Drannus just rolled their eyes, my fist clenched in annoyance. "Rose is Bryan's cousin and caretaker so he can take Bryan when he wants." Drannus smirked cockily. Xylo opened his mouth to protest but Cal gave him a look saying it's pointless to argue.

I stepped up and pushed Drannus in the chest, making the larger boy stumble in surprise. Cal and Xylo looked in shocked as I'm usually the least physical one. "Oh wow, the little book worm is trying to act tough." Drannus laughed down at me at me.

"I'm just sick of you and Rose thinking you guys can do whatever you want!" I glanced around Drannus, frowning when I couldn't see Bryan or Rose. Drannus realized where I was looking and laughed harder. Cal and Xylo grabbed my shoulders to prevent me from doing something I would regret.

"Don't tell me, does the little nerd have a crush on the cripple!?" They gripped their stomach, they were laughing so hard that they were crying. I narrowed my eyes at them, my knuckles turning white from anger.

"Come on Inpu, we can talk to Bryan tomorrow." Cal says softly, trying to calm me down.

"Yeah, just ignore them. They're just a jerk." Xylo chimed in after him but whispered, "Do you have a crush on Bryan?" My faced heated hearing Xylo, glaring at him. He raised his hands in a sign of chill. I turned back to Drannus.

"Yeah, get out of here losers. Know your place." They turned to leave. I watched them leave, my shoulders sagged as I relaxed.

"I hate them. I hope karma pays them. back." I said with venom, my eyes drilling holes in the back of Drannus's head.

"You know they just does it to get underneath our skin." Cal pointed out, letting go of my shoulder.

"I thought you were going punch them. I never seen you acted like that Inpu." Xylo said as he walked in front of me, blocking my view of Drannus. I blinked a bit.

"Well I just feel protective of Bryan. He seems really nice to be Rose's cousin." I rubbed the back of my neck, my face heating up. "I mean who knows what Rose does to him?" Cal and Xylo shared a look with each other.

"Suuure." Xylo smirked while tried to cover up his laugh. I flushed.

"Oh shut up!" I started walking away, my ears red. They both laughed and follow me out of the school.
