Revealed in time

Nya's POV

The world suddenly reformed.

And the dizziness was terrible.

I collapsed forwards, knocking someone over. I groaned. Ouch.

I opened my eyes. I gasped when I noticed Steve below me. THEN I remembered what happened the last two minutes.

I scrambled upwards, but before I could run away, a strong grip seized my wrist. Steve was upright and standing. Well, that was fast.

He smiled. "Did you see him, Nya? He can do nothing for you now."

You're wrong. Zach can do everything. Including get out of whatever situation he may be in. I just needed to buy him some time. Not that hard *sarcastic cough*

"Steve... What happened to you?.."

He grimaced when I said his name.

"Don't call me that, Nya. My real name, if thats what you should call it, is Herobrine."

My mind flashed back to the time when 'Steve' told me the 'Legend of Herobrine'.

He laughed. But it wasn't a happy one.

"Yes, that little tale I told you, well, let's just say it was too early to tell you the real truth." He stared at me silently. "You'll find out the real story once you become a wielder."

Thats it.

"IVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS!! WHAT THE HELL IS A WIELDER, AND WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOU, STEVE? YOU CANT EXPECT ME TO BE OKAY WITH STAYING IN THE DARK LIKE THIS. YOU HAVE TO TELL ME EVERYTHING-"

I was cut of before I could finish my little pout.

Faster than what seemed humanly possible, Steve flew forwards. His movements were a blur.

He pushed me against a tree that had been behind me, and his strong hands on my shoulders made escaping impossible. Damn.

"I can't sense you're irritated, Nya... But trust me, it will all be revealed in time..."

His grip on my shoulders loosened a little, and he slowly raised one hand. Gently, he seized a whisp of my hair and tucked in behind my ear. I instantly recoiled.

He leaned back and seemed to study my face more. He sighed.

"You'd make an interesting wielder, Nya. But it's such a shame..." He stared at me some more and I was beginning to become a bit uncomfortable. "Maybe... Just maybe it could work..."

He sat down, and his expression was a thoughtful one.

"You see, Nya, my wielders are always... Short-lived. Only temporary servants. They serve me once, and their life fades away. I don't want that to happen to you." He looked up at me.

"I'm not sure why, but, you seem different from the other wielders that have served me in my lifetime. You seem... How should I put this, more individual. You would be extremely powerful in your wielder form. Like when you attacked Zach down in the cavern. You beat him without barely any effort. And Zach is one of the best swordsmen in Minecraft."

You learn something new everyday.

"That cavern was created to shield the sword, you see. So down there, its influence was even more powerful. But it only took a few words from me for you to overcome its power. And thats something special, Nya."

He stood up, faster than lightning.

"Thats why I want to keep you, Nya. With you by my side, I'd be invincible." He slowly stalked closer. I had nowhere to go.

"But the problem is bringer your wielder out of you and onto the surface... Once I do that, it will only take one mission before you fade. So thats why I came up with this."

He held up a bottle of blood red liquid.

"This took a lot of time to create, but once I found the right mixture, it was easy. It will strengthen your life force so that you can remain in your wielder state forever, without dying after a single mission."

He was right in front of me now. I was pushed against the thick trunk of the jungle tree. He leaned in and whispered in my ear.

"Once you become a wielder, you'll belong with me.. Forever, Nya. You'll be with me for eternity. I promise I'll make you happy."

Quicker than lightning, he uncapped the bottle of red liquid. I whimpered. This can't be happening.

"Please accept this, Nya. Please accept... Me."

He tilted my head back, and lifted the bottle up to my face.

Im sorry, Zach...

Just then, a loud bark echoed around the small clearing.

"Let her go, Steve."

I looked past my shoulder to see Zach standing there, supporting himself on a tree, sword in hand.

I couldn't resist the slightest smile.

He came. I knew he would.

Unfortunately, Steve saw him too. And he didn't look particularly happy about it.

In fact, it looked like a storm was about to break.
