My Fight (Part Four)

My time in the air was limited, my body was so pained that I could barely hold on to him anymore. His arm reaching around to pull me in front of him before there was a sudden jump in our ascend. It was something I couldn't ignore, because that small jump, made me lose my grip on his shirt.

"NO!" I screamed out as I reached for him.

"Crap!" Bakugou pulled from his reach with his friends just enough so could try to grab any part of me. I reached out for him, our fingers touching at just the tips as the chance to continue with him slipped away. I was falling, and it was a quick descend, my mind wavering to the final thoughts of her, who had always smiled and told me things that would one day help me... but today... when I was falling back with nothing to save me... none of her words came to me. The only thing of her I could remember, his her tears and her pleas, from the last day she was with me.

Suddenly from the ground, a woman erupted, her height towering over everything around us as she blocked a flying Compress from reaching Bakugou and the others. She reached out and snagged me in her hand, protecting me from the fall that would have cost me my life. It wasn't too long before I was rolled out on the battlefield once more, running to try and stop this death match between All For One and All Might. Yet, as I neared them, the old man in yellow flew by and hit all of the others to the ground. I slowed and stopped in my tracks, watching him as my breath raged in the silence.

"So you saw the kid right?" They asked All Might, "He's turning out to be more and more like you every day. Not a compliment." There was a ringing in my head as I watched him stand beside All Might, stumbling along on my feet. I was back down here, and this time I was on my own. Bakugou is safe...

"S-Stop this..." I said quietly. Bakugou reached for me... but no one would do that for All Might... there was nothing stopping All For One from killing him, I had to do something. The old man's eyes latched onto me as I stood there, crying softly at the scene.

"Tomura I do not want to die in this place!" Toga whined, "Just go get that girl, and let's get out of here!"

"They got us, turned the tables of this fight with a single move," All For One said as he began to force yet another's Quirk. Big Sis Magne. My mind kicked up when I saw the extensions of black and red from his fingers, that stinging pain of his I knew all too well. I dove for cover and hid behind large stone rocks, ready for the worst. The trembles of my body putting my pounding heart back in gear. Even while locked in that room, trapped for years with nowhere to go, I had never been as afraid as I was right now.

"Hey watch out you guys you're coming out me to fast!" I could hear Toga yelling, but not once did I ever look up, I wouldn't look at them... I didn't have it in me to look up at them anymore. If All For One saw me, I'd be dead, it didn't matter how important I was to him anymore.

"Wait, don't... Master," I could hear Tomura shouting, "Your body is too damaged."

"Tomura, you must continue to fight!" All For One yelled. Time passed, and with there being no sound, I looked over the rubble I had taken place behind. All For One, the old man, and All Might standing alone on the battlefield. "I only came to save Tomura, but if you say you're going to fight, then I'll face you as you wish. In the past, your fist crushed one after another of my comrades, many were forced into the shadows, underground, while you were extolled as the symbol of peace. What a grand view you must have had from atop our sacrifices. A hero standing on the mountain of our defeats."

"DETRIOT! SMASH!" All Might let him have one more punch and pulled the much older man out of the way. From where I was, it was clear that his body couldn't take it, he was being forced back against All For One's power. The sudden shots and lights from the distance made me think the worse... despite everything that had happened here everything that could still happen... there was more to be done. More... Was there, someway... I could stop this? "I WON'T LET IT!"

A large single blow had forced All For One into the ground, his mask shattering, All Might standing on top in glory. I stepped aside from my hiding spot and stared at the cracked and shattered ground, the two of them were forced back into the shadows and the one who laid unmoving behind their mess. I leaned against the rock, my breathing was heavy, but this calm moment allowed me to finally realize my real issue. It wasn't the wounds from the tests on this day, it was the wounds of the attacks from Tomura and the others in days before.

Deep scars laced my chests and arms, my back was covered in bruises and burn marks, and because of Big Sis Magne... my head was still bleeding. There was another large hit, from who, I couldn't tell you, but All Might was sent flying, and the wind was far too strong for me to stay on the ground any longer.

"AHHH!!!" I could finally scream as dust and rocks hit me from every angle, my scars feeling the burden of all my pain, while my mind held most of my suffering. I dropped to the ground as a large metal bar hit me from behind, crushing my ankle under it. I couldn't move... I couldn't keep going I needed to... rest. There was a second scream, a loud painful scream, and All Might had tears in his eyes. He was still fighting, his body smaller and weaker than before. No... All For One won't stop, even if I tried to go back to him... All Might wouldn't let me... and he would just finish things.

"D-Don't lose..." I coughed out, struggling to pull myself out from under the rubble, "Keep going! I need you!!!!" I couldn't stop crying now, and I don't think I ever would, these people... maybe their goal wasn't to save me, it wasn't to protect me, but right now... that's what he was doing.

"Fear not... Child," He forced out, the last of his strength entering his arm, "I'm not done yet. You were right, a hero has so much to protect in this world." Yellow sparks shot around his body, power entering his voice, despite how much pain he was in. "Which is why I will defeat you!" There was a stillness in the air, something no one could ignore, but as always, All For One was not afraid.

"There it is," All For One says confidently as he rises above the ground, "That's the last of your strength, isn't it, All Might? A wounded hero is a most frightening animal." He was going to say more... but I didn't want to hear it, I couldn't hear anymore.

"BEAT HIM!" I yelled as loud as I could, flinching back at my own voice as I coughed out from the pain it caused.

"You really think he can?" All For One asked, and just like that, the voice that had kept me in nothing but fear my whole life had made me tremble again and lose my will to speak, my fight turning into a small pile of ash. "You have what? Two or three punches left?" Flames rose from the side, a heavy and loud voice ringing behind them.

"Are you serious? What the hell's going on with that weak little body?!" Flames all over their face, anger in his eyes, and another person soaring down beside him. More people were here... they were here to help All Might... There was a strict burning in my body as All For One began talking again, his voice didn't bring fear to my trembling body. I felt... angry. He was outnumbered, he should back down, let this be over, let us escape... but still... he wouldn't even do that. "STAND UP AND SHOW THEM WHY YOU'RE BETTER!"

"If the only reason you're here is to cheer him on," All For One said, "I prefer you to remain silent!" Someone else was attacking him, and All For One was getting scared, he knew he couldn't win with several people on him.

"Think again Mad-Man, we're here to assist." It was a hero, the one readying an attack on him.

"That's our job as heroes!" The wooden man was back, swinging through the air and pulling people from the rubble that I didn't even know were there.

"All of you came..." All Might said astonished. Time stopped as I found a piece of strength left in me, and pushed the stone off my ankle with everything I had. If everyone here could still fight, after seeing what happened to this one single person... then so could I.

"No matter what," I said as her words beat in with my memory, "There's always more to be done!"
