Chapter one: "Oh you wish."

Astras pov

First day of school this year. First school day i will have atrended since Lilys death.

Over the summer, i made a promise to my self; i will be strong and not show a weakness. So far so good. To be fair this summer has been pretty good, iv reconected with my friends slightly. I think that was with the help of Lucas though. Xander still refuses to talk to me. Sara is secretive and Jannet went to Rio for a few weeks. Apollo went camping with his family.

Its been weeks since we last saw Tyler. No one has forgotten though. Aparently, Xander lied to the school and told them he was on vacation. We came up with a plan to get him back. By 'we', i mean Lucas and I. Obviously me and Lucas are close and still goimg strong. I love him and he loves me. Or i hope so...

I picked out a outfit and quickly did my makeup. I curled my black hair and threw on camo jacket. I then grabbed a black bag and packet it with chewing gum, my purse, a large red bull and some sweets.

I was all set to go. I met Lucas at my door, and got my bike out. My bike is my baby. We bump helmets, something we do everytime we get onto our bike, and off we went.

We got to school not long after. I grabbed Lucas hand and pulled him to Jannet, who had just got back from vacation. "Hey gorgeous, look how tanned you are!" I exclamation, pulling her into a hug.

"Says you, where have you been?" She smiled warmly at me.

"No where, just here and there. We travelled a few hours away and had a day at the beach, we sometimes traveled to that casino." I laughed at the memory.

"She was also in my bed." Lucas smirked.

"Shut up." Jannet laughed, swatting at his arm. "How is everyone?" She gave a sad smile.

"Well Apollo and you, we hardly saw. Sara is keeping something from me." I frowned at the idea.

"And xander?" She inquired.

"And Xander is still ignoring me. What did i do?" I frowned, then i remembered my promise and put on a blank face.

"You know i cant tell you." She muttered and offered me a sad smile. "Im sorry honey, i would if i didnt promise."

"Its fine, come on we have class." I mustered up a fake smile.

"Arnt you getting owt for lunch?" Sara inquired, frowning at the empty space, my tray should be.

"Its right here." I laughed, pulling out my red bull and gummy bears. I then began plopping the red gummy bears in first.

"Thats not a proper dinner." She frowned and then began to whisper to Xander. Who guess what...still isnt talking to me.

"Trust me, thats the most she has had in ages." Lucas muttered.

"So have tou heard about the new kids who are attending now? I havent saw them yet but apparently they are starting at dinner." Jannet asked me.

"Actually yeah. Yeah i have." I smiled at Lucas before I wrapped my arms around his neck and he pulled me onto his lap. "Although, your still my baby, no matter what beautiful." He whispered into my ear.

Xander got up and muttered "iv got to go." Then he left, pushing harshly on the doors.

"Whats his problem." I asked curiously.

"None of your business." Sara mumbled running after him.

I stood up abruptly. "I need to go somewhere."I then got up and walked out. I need to blow some stream. Who is she to tell me what is and what not is my business. As I stormed off, i wasnt looking where i was going, so naturally me being me i walked into someone.

"Watch where your going bitch." A rough voice growled out.

"Shut the fuck up, bitch." My voice was cold and emotionless. "That is if you dont want your arse handed to you." I grinned satanicly.

"Oh you wish." A Shadow concealed his identity but not for long. I tried moving the shadow but it was as if there was a force acting against it. So i controlled the light to go onto his face.

He had dark brown, almost black eyes and dark brown hair. A few light freckles dotted over his nose and cheeks. His eye furrowed together.

"Your eyes, there almost black." I inspected his face. "You look familiar." I squinted to him.

"How do you know what i look like?" His voice was rough and horce.

"Because i can see your face." I said in a 'duh' voice.

"You shouldnt be able to!"
He barked at me. He then comtinued to push me against the wall, with his arms on each of my wrist, pinning me. "Why can you see my face." He whispered harshly into my ear.

"I dont know." I forriend fake fear. "Now move before you regret it." I scowled.

"Tell me the truth." His grip on my wrists tightened, which would have usually hurt but since Lilys death, iv became numb to pain like that. "I wont let you leave until you tell me the truth." His grip was now cutting off the circulation to my wrists.

"Trust me, you have five seconds to get off of me, or else. " I flashed him a sinister grin. "Choose wisely."

"Just tell me!" He pratically screamed.

"One." I shifted in his grip.

"Tell me. Now!"

"Two."

"I advise you, what ever she is counting down for, just do what she said." Saras voice was soft.

"Three."

He shifted his hands around my neck, trying to strangle me. I couldnt speek at this point, so i held up a four fingers.

Four

"Honestly it is in your best intrest to just follow her comands." Sara pleaded.

Five

I grabbed hold of his wrists and yanked them off of my neck. I was still grinning like a maniac. I then directed my fist to his face. A sickening crack echoed the halls which was surprisenly deserted.

"Astra stop!" She heaved out. "Asteria. You cant keep acting like this! Whats gotten into you, Your a hero." Sara shouted in my face but towards the end she whispered.

"Former hero." I reminded her. "Whats gotten into me? Maybe its the fact that Lily is dead." I pushed out through grit teeth. "Or maybe its because my friends left me when i needed them the most. One cant even stand to look or talk to me, one is so secretive and the others i hardly see." I lashed out. "Or maybe its because he deserves it." A smirked made its way onto my face, while i directed my eyes onto the boy.

"Doing this isn't going to bring her back." Hurt flashed across her eyes.

I pushed the tears back. No one will see me weak again. My eyes hardened. "I know it wont bring her back. Nothing can bring her back. She is gone. When she died, the hero inside of me died along with her." I sneered. "How can i save people when i couldnt even save my bestfriend-no my sister." I stated, staring at my nails.

"You can, you just need to believe you can. We can help you." Hope glistened in her eyes. I laughed a crewl, cold laugh and the hope washed away with her dreams of me being a hero once again.

"I dont need your help, you left me when i most needed you." I stated. "I cant save people anymore, how can i when i cant save my self?" With that being said i left them two and walked out the heavy double doors, towards my bike.

As i sit on my bike, i realised something. I dropped a quick text to Lucas.

To look ass,
Meet me at your house. We need to speak. Love you baby. xoxo

I grabbed my helmet and pulled it on, before i could leave Lucas' voice travelled to my ears.

"Astra wait!" He was next to me in no time. "Whats happened?"

"Ill tell you when we get to yours." I gave him a small smile and a soft kiss. Then we bumped helmets and off we went.
