It was now the next day, and we've decided to split up. Cao Cao went with the Hero Faction to see what the deal was with Lilith, while Vali + his team went to investigate Rizevim. As for me, I was currently heading down towards the basement with Akeno and Onihime, following a maid down to where Gasper's father was being kept. Just yesterday, I got some abilities sent by King Zenorse, which are supposedly there to enhance my firearm and defensive abilities. I'm deciding to keep my new abilities a secret until I need to use them, but they will help me in my best aspects. Rias and Gasper were supposed to come with us, but Valerie needed them for something. So the three of us decided to go to their place. It was dark as we traversed the stone steps, so the vampire maid was carrying a kind of lantern to help us see in the darkness. I heard from somewhere that devils supposedly have night vision, but I don't have night vision, so I'm not sure what to say. The downward spiral that led to the basement honestly looks like a stairway from a medieval castle, not surprising given the vampires. After a couple minutes of walking, we reached the bottom of the stairs, which led into a massive hallway made of stone. The maid led us into the hallway until she reached a wooden door, then she knocked on the door.

"These are the guest quarters Lord Vladi is staying in, if you have any requests, please let me know." The maid bowed in front of us before leaving the hallway, just as the door opened up.

Inside the door was a surprisingly fancy room, there was a golden chandelier on the ceiling, bookshelves filled with books, expensive looking wallpaper, and all the furniture looked like it was pulled straight from the Victorian era. The person who opened the door was a pale man with crimson eyes, and long blonde hair that was a similar color to Gasper's. The man was also wearing a suit, tie, and a cloak. He led us inside his small, yet well furnished room before sitting down in a chair. The man gestured to the couch in front of him, and the three of us sat down with Akeno sitting in the middle of us.

"How do you do?" Akeno greeted the adult vampire man from the couch. "I am Rias Gremory's Queen, Akeno Himejima. We came here to see you on behalf of your son, Gasper Vladi. We came to exchange information regarding your son."

"I have already spoken to Rias Gremory already, we exchanged information regarding the basics of that thing's existence." Lord Vladi appeared to call Gasper, 'that thing', which pissed off Onihime. "I was summoned to this very castle to handle this thing, and it's quite pathetic of me, but I ended up being locked into this room. It seems his highness Marius' group gave an order to bring Rias here by using my son."

"That thing?" Onihime crossed both her legs and arms and tilted her head. "Yeah I'm not really good when it comes to this kind of supernatural BS stuff, so please tell me what you mean by 'that thing'?"

"That thing...Gasper...is functioning as a devil." Lord Vladi ignored Onihime's question. "I'm quite shocked at that."

"Does his mother know?" Onihime wondered, but I wondered a different question. A question I got the answer to before I could ask.

"Gasper's mother died right after giving birth due to shock." Lord Vladi answered, wait, Gasper's mother died from shock? Is birth really that painful? Darn, I should probably give Yasaka, Venelana, and Grayfia more than a cake each for Mother's Day. "The thing she gave birth to...it wasn't vampire, human, nor half blood."

"Then what was it?" Akeno appears to be just as confused as I was. "Gasper seems like your normal half blooded vampire?"

"When that thing was born...it didn't have the shape of a person." Given how fearful Lord Vladi was, I'd say he was picturing the scene.  "Something that looked like a part of the abyss squirmed out of the mothers womb. It was something so mysterious and atrocious I don't believe the words to describe it exist. It was neither human or vampire, that much is certain. The mother saw that with her own eyes, and in moments she went insane before swiftly dying. The nurses and the servants who were in the room started to die, one by one, all in a strange way. My only explanation is that they all must have been cursed to death."

"Gasper somehow cursed everyone in that room when he was just born?" I questioned while tilting my head. I can't even curse people.

"Yes, it's possible that he did this curse unconsciously." Lord Vladi guessed. "He turned into the form of a normal baby several hours after his mother died from the shock."

"Does Gasper know about this?" Onihime didn't like this man, evident from her glare and venomous tone.

"No, he wasn't told about this, because we were afraid it would trigger him into returning to his true form." Lord Vladi sighed. "Other members of the Tepes faction were just scared of him thanks to his Sacred Gear, but to those of us who know the truth, we know that his Sacred Gear is the least scary thing about him. We didn't consider that as a vampire off a human, we can only group him as an unknown entity. We made him go into the outside world while he didn't know about his true power...and now he's a member of Rias Gremory's peerage."

"So you basically made Gasper go out and die because you were afraid of him?!" Onihime slammed her fist down, and she was so pissed, I swore her eyes turned red. Wait no...they actually were red in the irises? Onihime broke the table in front of us with her foot. "He died because of you!"

"I-It's more complicated than that!" Lord Vladi tried defending himself, but Onihime is hot headed, so she gripped Lord Vladi's collar and lifted him up while looking ready to commit a murder. "You will never understand, you lowly human!"

"Try me." Onihime growled in annoyance, but then I noticed something about Onihime. Two pointed horns began emerging from her forehead, and I realized that Onihime's name was a pun, because Onihime wasn't a human, she was an oni. "Gasper is the sweetest, kindest, prettiest, person on this entire fucking planet. Yet it's because of you he died at the hands of a vampire hunter, you'd best be grateful I don't take that chandelier and hang you up by it."

"You wouldn't dare!" Lord Vladi growled at Onihime, and I placed a hand on Onihime's shoulder.

"Onihime, please calm down." I requested of the girl not only as the Leader of the Tarot, the Fool, but also as her friend. "Gasper won't want you to harm a member of his family, no matter how much he despises them."

"Fine." Onihime dropped the man back into his chair while Akeno began leaving the room. "But if you hurt Gasper in any way, I'll kick you."

With that said, the two of us exited the room whilst following behind Akeno, with Onihime calming down enough for her horns to begin disappearing. We were swiftly met by a maid, who claimed she was here to deliver a message from Valerie, who was having tea with Gasper and Rias. She claimed that Onihime and I were to meet Valerie in her chambers, and Akeno was free to go back to her room. Onihime and I now had to make the journey from the bottom of the castle to the very top of it. I was fine because of my endurance, unfortunately Onihime was wheezing halfway up the stairs, so I had to carry her on my back. I kept on carrying her until we reached Valerie's room, where I set her down so I could open the door. I gently pushed the wooden door open to see that the other room was a massive indoor garden, but this garden did it have a sunroof, instead, it had purple lighting and was filled with different plants. Most of the plants were different flowers, but I noticed some strawberry plants. In the middle of the room, I saw a round table with five chairs, three of which were occupied by Rias, Gasper, and Valerie. I noticed from far away that Valerie looked better than she did with Marius in the room. I was able to notice something, to my right, leaning against the wall was Crom Cruach. He glanced at the two of us before closing his eyes. Onihime got mad for some reason and flipped him off using both of her hands.

"That person over there is my bodyguard, Crom Cruach, don't worry too much about him. Please, take a seat." Valerie gestured to the two chairs between Gasper and Rias, so the two of us sat down. Onihime sat next to Gasper and I sat next to Rias. "Rias has told me about the lifestyle in Japan, it sounds like a peaceful country."

"It is indeed a beautiful country that is rich with history and culture, you Highness." I was formal with the woman, causing her to giggle a bit.

"You don't have to speak to me so politely, (Y/N)." Valerie giggles as if she found my formality funny. "I also asked Rias to speak to me casually like she was talking to a friend, so please just call me Valerie."

"Understood Lady Valerie." I still spoke somewhat formally to Valerie out of respect to her position, but now that I was looking at her up close, her smile was empty and void.

"By the way, I'm sure you're curious as to why Gasper dresses as a girl." Valerie decided to change the subject onto why Gasper dresses as a girl. "Well back when he was little, we played together, and by that I may or may not have forced him to wear girls clothes. He was against it at first, but as you can see, he's started wearing them on his own."

"V-Valerie, don't tell them that!" Gasper pleaded whilst slamming his hands on the table.

"Oh yes, that reminds me, did you finally fix your habit where you can't go to sleep without holding a doll?" Valerie giggled, and I looked to my left to see Onihime was now writing all of this stuff down. "...So...you've seen the sun before."

"Well her mood changed pretty dang quickly." Onihime commented as she put her notepad away.

"Yes, since I'm a half blood, I can see the sun." Gasper informed Valerie. "The same applies to you as well, Valerie."

"You're right, but I'm not allowed to leave this palace anymore." Valerie's eyes looked dead and dull, like she lost all life that was once behind them. "Before I became queen, I once had a dream. I want to have a picnic with Gasper underneath the sun, but now it's a goal that will never happen."

"Who decided that?" Rias quoted an anime she really liked. "Let's have one together, all of us. We can go to a Japanese resort with the rest of the ORC members, and of course, you too."

"Oh that sounds absolutely wonderful, having a picnic under the sun with everyone sounds exciting." I noticed there was a spark of hope in Valerie's eyes as she said this.

"I recommend visiting Kyoto at some point, it's a beautiful city." I offered my own suggestion, and more sparks began appearing in Valerie's eyes. "A festival is also nice."

"Y-Yeah, h-he's right!" Gasper agreed with me. "Let's go to Japan together, it might be busy considering you just became Queen, but once everything settles down, you may have some free time!"

"That's quite a lot of enthusiasm coming from a shut in." Onihime gave Gasper a snarky smile whilst poking his cheek with her finger.

"Don't tease me, Onihime!" Gasper pleaded whilst waving his hands frantically in the air. "I'm serious here!"

"My my, I wonder what all of you are so excited about." Marius appeared behind me, and I instantly grabbed where my gun would have been, but I was unarmed for now.

"Older brother, I was just talking to Rias and Gasper here." Valerie's hope suddenly faded away, and what was left looked like someone on death's row.

"Oh hello there." Marius looked like he finally noticed us, and I began thinking of ways to kill him, but Crom Cruach was here, so that was a bad idea. Maybe, if I'm smart, I can incapacitate Crom Cruach to at least make it possible for Vali, Cao Cao, and Issei to take him on. "Since I heard Valerie is meeting guests, I thought I should show myself in. Am I a bother?"

"Ye-" I was about to answer the man, but Rias quickly placed her palm over my mouth to prevent me from speaking.

"No you are not, I also sincerely apologize for Xenovia wanting to kill you and (Y/N) pointing a gun at you." Rias' usual smile looked forced, and I could sense an intent to kill coming from her.

"No need to apologize, there are things in this world that lower class people can't come to understand in this world." Marius shrugs as though this wasn't such a big deal.

"E-Excuse me?" Gasper got Marius' attention, and I was surprised by this because he's usually so quiet. "Can you please release Valerie? I will do anything for her freedom, so please don't make her suffer more!"

"Very well, I will release her." Marius agreed after a moment of thinking, but I sensed something off. "Except, I'm going to need some time. The political climate is pretty fragile right now, especially since Valerie was just put as Queen, so it'll take some time for Valerie to officially stop being Queen." Marius then looked at his sister. "Valerie, you may go to Japan, you may live peacefully there with Gasper."

"But the Holy Grail...?"

"You don't need to worry about it." Marius smiled an evil smile just like Diodora's. "You don't have to use it any more, you fulfilled your duty, so you may go to Japan."

In response to this, Onihime, Valerie, and Gasper began celebrating while Rias and I looked at eachother. This did not sound good in the slightest, Marius was obsessed with the Holy Grail, and now he's just letting it go without any form of resistance? There was another option, an option we didn't even want to consider because of what it was. The only other possibility was that Marius was planning to steal Valerie's sacred gear.

In other words, he wanted to kill Valerie.

After the meeting with Valerie, we went back to the massive room in the palace that was supposedly our shared bedroom, even though it looked like a penthouse. All of us were now back inside, with Cao Cao's team, Vali's Team, and the Gremory Group now united in one place. Rias and I informed everyone of what we've heard from Marius. Azazel was here as well, and he clenched his fist so hard I saw blood.

"So fallen Angel technology must have been leaked to the vampires, and now Marius is planning to use it." Azazel crossed his arms whilst biting his thumbnail. "The power of the Holy Grail must not fall into Marius' hands."

"We need to save Valerie as soon as possible!" Gasper wanted to save Valerie, and I could tell that while Gasper loved Valerie, he was not in love with her.

"I'm with Gasper, the power of the Holy Grail can't fall into the enemy's hands." Georg thought for a couple minutes. "Though now that I think about it, when Leonardo, Cao Cao, Vali, and I left the Khaos Brigade, they lost most of their Longinus. They however, still are in possession of Incinerate Anthem. Still, they must be desperate to get more Longinus."

"So that's one more reason to prevent that Marius douche lord from getting the Holy Grail." Bikou was eating some grapes from a golden bowl that was adjourned with jewels.

"The problem with that are the three monsters protecting Marius." Issei was surprisingly observant. "Hell, they have the strongest evil dragon, the son of the OG Lucifer, and a clone of Ophis. Ddraig said we shouldn't fight any of them."

"But what if you didn't need to fight them?" A voice came from the ceiling, and we all looked up to see Bennia was above us, coming out of a magic circle. "What if we just needed to hold them off long enough to grab Valerie and leave?"

"Oh hey Bennia, is the escape route secured?" Azazel watched as Bennia jumped from the ceiling and onto the ground, followed by Loup emerging from the portal and landing perfectly, and Elmenhilde falling from the portal, only to fall into my arms.

"Yes, just give the word and we'll escape." Loup informed us while I set Elmenhilde on the ground.

"Carmilla forces are currently surrounding the Tepes territory, ready to engage should the need arise." Elmenhilde informed us. "However, the spies learned of something awful. Marius plans on using the power of the Holy GrIl to reconstruct everyone in Tepes Territory into mindless soldiers immune to everything. Making it an unstoppable force. Marius won't hesitate to kill his sister to achieve this goal."

"Good job, you managed to finish the report, now to send you somewhere safe." Bennia summoned a magic circle underneath Elmenhilde.

"Wait, I'm not done!" Elmenhilde suddenly fell into the magic circle, which supposedly led somewhere safe. 

"Just distracting them seems like a decent idea, nyah." Kuroka was thinking about this. "However, distracting them is a momentous task in the first place. So how will we do it?"

"Hey, is it morning already?" Jeane wondered, and all of us were confused before she pointed at the window. "It's only 1 in the morning."

"Wait a minute..." Azazel looked outside with the rest of us, and we saw there was a bright light enveloping the castle. "Damnit! They've already started the ritual to get the Holy Grail!"

"Darn it, we have no time to waste, we need to go save Valerie!" Gasper began stomping off to the entrance of the door.

"Gasper, changing in alone is a bad idea!" Rossweisse tried stopping Gasper, but he kept on walking towards the door. "Wait!"

"You love Valerie don't you?" I asked the boy, causing him to stop. "Yet you're not in love with her? I feel the same way about everyone in this room, except Rias, whom I am in love with. And we all feel the same way about you."

"He's right, we all care about you, Gasper." Asia stepped up with a determined expression. "So that's why I'm going to help you save Valerie!"

"I'll lend you my blade." Kiba summoned a silver blade in his hands. "You are our junior, so let your seniors help you."

"I'm with Kiba, if anyone tries to hurt you I'll destroy them." Xenovia unsheathed Ex Durandal, and I could feel the holy energy radiating off it.

"I'm going to deliver a divine punishment to the vampires as a representative of Heaven!" Irina triumphantly unsheathed Solais, which I've officially decided to give to her.

"You're my friend, so I'll help." Koneko pulled out a set of gauntlets and cracked her knuckles.

"As a teacher of Kuoh Academy, I need to ensure the safety of my students." Rossweisse dawned her Valkyrie armor.

"I shall be your shield in this endeavor." I put on my mask and turned it on, allowing me to use thermal vision.

"As the leader of the Sealboi Protection Squad, we shall join this fight as well." Le Fay raised her wand into the air as the rest of the former Khaos Brigade members cheered, including Cao Cao and Vali.

"Wait, (Y/N), where are your guns?" Azazel questioned as he looked around the room. "Don't tell me you're going in unarmed."

"Oh, I'm unarmed because I can do this now."

I held my hands out and pictured the K22 pistol I wanted in my hands, and a bright blue and gold light enveloped my hands, and I could feel something cold and made of steel. I gripped this object and the flash disappeared just it's quickly as it appeared. In my hands was a K22 revolver, surprising everyone in the room.

"I can summon my weapons, among other things now."
