Chapter 11: The False Red Dragon
(Your POV)
I covered myself in armor and summoned the trident, quickly followed by duct tape. I grabbed three grenades and duct taped them around the trident. Shortly after pulling their pins, I reeled my arm back before chucking my trident at Euclid with so much force I almost couldn't see it. Euclid caught the trident confidently, while I launched myself from the tower using my enhanced legs. Euclid was busy trying to understand the trident, but then he noticed the grenades. He tried throwing it back at me, but an explosion quickly enveloped him as I kicked the devil in the stomach. Euclid was knocked onto his back, and I used this moment to pick up my trident and point it at Euclid's throat, ready to plunge it into the slippery devil's body.
"You, how did you manage to replicate Issei's balance breaker?" I asked Euclid, who was laughing despite his predicament.
"Oh it's quite simple, remember when Issei Hyoudou died?" Euclid asked me. "Well Samael's poison didn't exactly destroy Issei's entire body, there was a mere fraction of it left, allowing me to use that fraction to form a perfect copy of the Boosted Gear."
"A perfect copy, then why can't you use Juggernaut Drive or something like that?" I forced the trident down, but amazingly, Euclid caught it with his hands and threw it away before kicking me off his chest.
"Why would I need that mode when Balance Breaker is all I need?" Euclid sounded confident, but I wonder how long that could stand.
"I guess we'll see who is the better Red Dragon, you or my best friend, Issei Hyoudou." I summoned a spear in my hands, Gae Bulg to be exact. "If you think you can surpass Issei, I shall cut you down."
Euclid used a set of boosters on his back to launch himself towards me, while I dug the blade of Gae Bulg into the ground to scoop up some dirt like a shovel and launched it into the eyes of my opponent, blinding him more an instant as I placed a hand on the ground, allowing me to summon a pin ocean style magic circle below Euclid's feet, from the magic circle a series of tentacles emerged. The tentacles enshrined Euclid, holding him in place as I prepared Gae Bulg for a thrust towards Euclid's chest, but the devil managed to break the restrains by boosting his power enough to tear off the tentacles, I pray that wasn't actually a squid, otherwise I'd feel bad. Euclid caught the blade of Gae Bulg between his hands before using it to pull me towards himself, getting me in range of a sucker punch to the face, but the metal only clashed against my armor without so much as a scratch.
"Fair warning, if you thought my defense was high before, then you will not stand a chance against my balance breaker." I designed Junkyard Seal to be something of a booster for my defense, so at the cost of around half my stamina, I can quintuple defense.
I grabbed Euclid by the shoulder and tossed him over my body, knocking him onto the ground before summoning a double barrel shotgun in my hands and firing bullets infused with lava magic into the chest of the devil, causing miniature explosions to engulf both my and Euclid's bodies, temporarily blinding me but giving Euclid the opportunity to fire some kind of dragon shot into my face, knocking my face upwards to face the sky as Euclid summoned his devil wings to take to the sky. I reloaded my double barrel and fired lightning infused bullets towards Euclid, who summoned some kind of silver magic barrier to block the bullets, and I noticed my trident plunged into the wall of a nearby building, so I made my double barrel shotgun disappear in a flash of blue and gold light before summoning an uzi to distract Euclid. I fired bullets at Euclid, who was laughing.
"It's futile, don't you see that bullets are of no use against me!?" Euclid asked while I reached the trident and dropped the uzi to make it disappear, allowing me to grab the trident.
I strapped grenades to the trident, then I chucked it at Euclid, whose barrier couldn't stand against the trident, and I watched as the trident pierced his shoulder after the cluster grenades went off directly in his face. I used this as an opportunity to throw knives made of light before shooting a massive ball of ice towards Euclid. Euclid managed to confidently swat away the knives, but he had trouble blocking the chunk of ice. Euclid looked to be getting angry, so he fired a silver beam of demonic energy at me, while I summoned some kind of small disc in my hand, and I threw the disc onto the ground, causing a hologram of me firing a gun to emerge while I turned invisible, only for five seconds though. Euclid thought the hologram was actually me, so he fired a silver beam of magic towards it, but was confused when the beam went through. Euclid then noticed how there were no bullets actually harming him until I appeared behind him just as the invisibility wore off, granting me a massive damage boost somehow. I slammed my right elbow and left palm, allowing me to send a massive wave of magic into Euclid's body before sending the man into the ground, followed by summoning a rocket launcher and aiming it downwards. I took a breath in to infuse the rocket launcher with lightning magic before firing it, causing a powerful cluster of electric missiles to fly downwards towards the devil, who quickly realized what was going on, and used his boosters plus his devil wings to escape before the missiles could hurt him. Euclid flew up to where I was while I used my devil wings to help fly, keeping me in place. Euclid appeared behind me, and pierced his tail through my left thigh.
"Huh, I should have known better than to get my hopes up, you're nothing special after all." Euclid sighed as I grabbed his bloodied tail with my hand. "What the?"
"You're right, there is nothing special about me." I tightly gripped the tail whilst glaring at Euclid. "But, Rias and my allies believe in me, so I refuse to let them down!"
I ripped the tail out from my leg and used it to pull Euclid close to me, allowing me to deliver a solid punch to his jaw and head butt to his forehead. Euclid was stammered back by this, while I summoned a set of C4's before slamming them against Euclid's chest, then I launched Euclid into the sky with his tail, making sure to tear it off as I did so. Euclid managed to catch himself in the air, but he was caught off guard by the C4's going off point blank in his face. I took a breath in once more and summoned a druidic magic circle and slammed my hands together, causing giant tree roots to emerge from the ground to try wrapping around Euclid, but the devil managed to destroy the tree roots, forcing me to engage him in close quarters with my fists. This is obviously one of those moments where I hate myself for giving Irina Solais, my only holy weapon. Euclid, kept on punching me in the chest, and given how he was boosting his power constantly, he was beginning to do some damage. I summoned a set of light daggers in my hat to stab Euclid's right eye, blinding him before using my spare hand to summon a light dagger, using it to stab Euclid's remaining eye. Before I could stab Euclid's throat, a powerful demonic bullet hit me dead on, and it somehow deactivated the Junkyard Seal?! I was sent into the ground below, slightly dazed because of the high fall. When I recovered, I looked up at the sky, noticing how there were two people flying above, with one of them healing the other.
"My my, scaaarrry!" This voice was Rizevim's voice. "You managed to fight toe to toe with Grayfia Lucifage's brother using those yucky guns! Impressive, you even managed to make your own sacred gear, but it's useless with me though."
"Ugh...how so?" My vision was still spinning, so it was hard to focus on Rizevim, the only way I was able to see the colors, like Euclid was in a false red dragon balance breaker, while Rizevim was gray and white.
"Simple, because I possess an amazing trait of being able to cancel out sacred gears." Rizevim informed me, so that explains why Junkyard Dog was canceled out. "Then again you're scary enough without your sacred gear, so let's see if there's anything I can take away from you to make you less dangerous..."
"What?" I was confused by what Rizevim meant until he appeared before me.
I was confused, but I still jumped back, but I couldn't get far because Rizevim grabbed my throat and held me up into the air. Before I could figure out what was going on, Rizevim plunged his whole fist through my chest, causing me to cough up blood. In Rizevim's palm, I saw something glowing a bright crimson color. Wait, did Rizevim pull out my evil piece?! Rizevim held up the evil piece to examine it with a curious smile.
"So you changed kings, from Rias Gremory to Issei Hyoudou...talk about a downgrade." Rizevim let go of me, and I felt...weaker. I fell onto my knees, and gripped my throat, trying to make sure I could breathe. Why does it feel like something vital was taken away from me? "Don't bother trying to fight me, I used the Sephiroth Grail to turn you into something useless, a dummy human. I recommend you eat some rest, suddenly getting all your power taken away from you is really hard."
Rizevim acted as though he had already won, and while the hole in my chest was spilling a massive amount of blood onto the ground, I refused to go down without something even resembling a fight. I balanced myself on one foot, then the other, to help balance, I summoned Gae Bulg and slammed the bottom of the weapon into the ground. This managed to catch Rizevim off guard enough to give me an opening, an opening I exploited right away by thrusting Gae Bulg towards Rizevim, but the devil snapped the pole in half. I grabbed the half with the actual blade of Gae Bulg and gripped it tightly before falling onto the ground, and stabbing Rizevim's foot. Rizevim let out a pained yell before grabbing his foot and jumping up and down.
"Ouchie ouchie ouchie!" Rizevim screamed as I tried piercing his other foot, but Rizevim stomped on my wrist before I could stab his remaining foot. "What is wrong with you?!"
"Give back...everything you stole..." It was hard to talk with this hole in my chest, but the least I can do is keep fighting. Not only for my evil piece, but also Valerie's Sephiroth Grail.
"Why should I?" Rizevim asked, but before he could get an answer, a familiar red staff extended into Rizevim's face, catching him off guard while a wall of rocks emerged from the ground to separate me from him.
"Yo, (Y/N), you good?" Bikou asked while Kuroka and Arthur helped me to my feet from behind the stone wall.
"I'm not sensing any demonic energy from him, I fear Rizevim may have used the Sephiroth Grail to remove his evil piece and turn him into a human." Arthur announced as Euclid appeared before us.
"Guys, I'll be fine, I just need to get the Sephiroth Grail away from Rizevim, please." I tried pleading with my allies, both of whom only shook their heads.
"Nyah, I'm sorry (Y/N), but you can't win all the fights you jump into." Kuroka sighed, and my head hung low from that response. "I know you're sad, nyah, but think about it."
"Kuroka is correct, Rizevim has the power to nullify any sacred gear, Longinus or not." Arthur reminded me. "In fact, that makes half of our fighting force useless. Look, let's contact the Gremory Group and escape with Valerie like we agreed to. Everyone else already took care of the dragons, so the people are safe."
"Okay..." I was honestly quite sad, especially since Rizevim took my evil piece away from me. And I felt as though a part of me was missing.
"(Y/N), are you sad that Rizevim has your evil piece, nyah?" Kuroka asked, and she was spot on? Could it be that she's secretly really skilled at reading emotions? "Well if it helps you, nyah, you never needed that evil piece anyways."
"No..." I was about to turn back, but then I heard Bikou scream something out loud.
"YO GUYS WE NEED TO RUN!" Bikou tossed a chess piece sized object towards me, and I caught it, allowing me to absorb it. "Wait, how did you do that?!"
"What?" I thought everyone can just take out their evil pieces like that? "Are you saying not everyone can just take out their evil pieces like that?"
"I'm assuming this is because of your role as the current reincarnation of what some people call 'the Ultimate Human'." Arthur guessed as we ran away from Rizevim and Euclid, with my chest still bleeding out. "In the meantime, we need to get (Y/N) to Asia so she can heal him."
"I'll be fine." I almost tripped over from light headedness, but I caught myself. "Where are the others?"
"Vali, Le Fay, Fenrir, Gogmagog, and the Hero Team retreated at the same time we did." Bikou informed me. "Still, HOW ARE YOU NOT PASSING OUT, YOU'RE BLEEDING A RIVER OF BLOOD!?"
"I'm good at ignoring pain." I explained while Kuroka stopped me to wrap some bandages over my injuries. "I assure you, I'm okay."
"Wait, your injuries, they're...healing, nyah?" Kuroka examined my injuries, and to her amazement, golden scales were beginning to cover the wound, slowly but surely.
"I'm not sure, but for now, let's focus on getting to the others and saving Valerie." We continued running towards the castle, while we ran, I pulled out my phone to begin texting someone.
As Kuroka, Bikou, Arthur, and I ran through the rubble of the fallen city, I began wondering about the Carmilla Faction...would they be okay? Are they still alive? If not...then I'll have to protect Elmenhilde. I have doubts if the Carmilla faction will even still be around, but as doubts ran through my head, Bikou began noticing people running towards us. I noticed how four of which appear to be unconscious...wait, I know those people! Those unconscious people are Gasper, Koneko, Asia, and Valerie! I rushed towards this group of people, all of whom looked pretty tired.
"(Y/N), I'm so glad you're okay!" Rias hugged me in relief, luckily, my injury had fully healed by now, so Rias didn't see how injured I was. "I was so worried that you might have hurt yourself fighting off those dragons, so I was grateful when the former Khaos Brigade went to go help you."
"You're welcome by the way." Bikou looked confused about something, so I asked what was on his mind. "Well earlier I heard Koneko say that she wants to become one of (Y/N)'s brides, sooo...?"
"I knew she had a crush on me, but I didn't really say anything because it would make things awkward." I answered while crossing my arms. "I'm kind of hoping she finds someone else though..."
"Well now that I think about it, 4 years isn't that much of an age gap..." Azazel rubbed his chin, and all of us looked at him. "Hey! In my defense, there are 23 year old people marrying people who are thirty, and 45 thousand year olds dating 60 year olds!"
"I'm still not sure what to do with this." Rias rubbed the back of her neck. "So should we wait for a bit and see if her feelings change or something?"
"Well by then she should be grown up, so she won't count as a loli..." Issei thought out loud. "Wait, then what about Le Fay, doesn't she like (Y/N)?"
"I'm a fan of his, but I wouldn't want to date him." Le Fay was hovering nearby on her broomstick. "Kind of like Bennia."
"Well I hope the fates don't settle this matter with a coin toss, though I have a feeling he will..." Akeno sweatdropped, and I wondered what was going through her head.
"So...should we all just wait and see what happens?" Kiba asked while Cao Cao arrived with the rest of the former Khaos Brigade.
"Guys, is that a rooster flying a helicopter?" Vali pointed upwards, and we all looked up to see a large helicopter was being flown overhead, and in the cabin was some kind of rooster with weird designs on it's feathers.
"Oh that's just Barcelos, he's the Tarot Representative in South Europe, but officially he just runs Portugal and Spain." I explained one of the newer members of the tarot while the rooster parked the helicopter right in front of us.
"Olá amigos e amigas!" Barcelos greeted all of us by opening the helicopter door, allowing us to pile in. "I got some meds in the first aid kit back there, feel free to help yourselves."
"Why is there a rooster here?"
"I'll have you know I'm a certified lawyer too putas!"
"WHAT THE FUC-"
A/N: Hey my Portuguese readers, you know that rooster that literally every Portuguese grandma has somewhere in their kitchen, well apparently that's actually got it's own story where the rooster saves some guy in court. I don't know the full story, but I'll always find it hilarious. Also, some might say that those three kids who saw the Lady of Fatima would be a better idea, but considering that there are no records of the fucking Sun zipping and zooping around the sky acting like life is a never ending rave from anywhere literally than that one town in Portugal, than it's safe to say that somethin's goin on. I'm not insulting anyone's religion, buuuuuuut, you get the idea. Also that story took place during the early 1900's so it's needless to say, but I'm pretty sure records were more accurate by by then.
