Shadow's POV:

I stared at Annabeth as I held my anger in, after a moment I reached out and shook her hand while forcing a very convincing smile.

"Pleasure to meet you Annabeth" I said but my instincts were telling me to gut her right there 'I wonder if Lunar has that problem...' I thought to myself as I imagined my friend's very complex life with two copies of himself

"Annabeth will also be your home room teacher" Jason said and I groaned internally before forcing another smile

"That's cool, so where can I crash? I'm tired as hell" I said and Jason laughed before pointing towards the dorms

"Check in with the receptionist at the dorms and she will get you a room number and key, your classes start tomorrow so your schedule will be given to you in your first hour" Jason explained and I nodded before walking in that direction

"It's high school mixed with college mixed with torture" I mumbled to myself as I walked into the dorms building and up to the lady at the desk "Hello, I would like to check in"

"What's your name sweetheart?" She asked and I cringed on the inside

"Shad no last name" I say and she nods before typing into a computer

"Here you go Shad no last name" She said and I roll my eyes as I take my key and look at it making sure she was just joking

I smiled when I saw that she was just messing around and thanked her before I headed up to my room which happened to be on floor 13 and room 666.

'What are the odds?' I say to myself as I reach my room, open the door, walk in and after I close and lock it I jump onto the provided bed and pass out

Jason's POV:

I looked at Shad as he walked away.

"He's different" Annabeth said and I looked at her

"What do you mean?" I asked

"Reports said that he didn't know what a godly parent was, yet he is taking this far too well" She said and I nodded slightly

"He is just a normal demigod, he probably is just used to weird things happening and learned to deal with them" I countered "Besides, not everyone needs to be shifty Annabeth, remember where that got you?" I asked and I saw her tearing up

I know it was a harsh comment but she needs to remember not to let her observations be her deciding factor.

"I'm sorry Annabeth" I say but she shakes her head and looks at me with determination in her eyes

"No, you're right, being a daughter of Athena means I need to keep my mind open, he may look shifty but it's how he acts is the deciding factor and even then other things contribute to that end result" She said and I smiled

"Well, see you tomorrow in classes" I said before hugging her and walking away toward a building next to the dorms

(Next Day)

Shadow's POV:

I woke up and climbed out of the somewhat hard bed. I kept my eyes closed as I stretched and I thought of what I was going to do today.

"Should probably finish construction on the new wing to the hut, maybe work on my motorcycle later..." I said as I opened my eyes and saw the room "Or, I can go to school" I looked at the clock which said 8:30am "Eh, so what if I'm late"

I checked everything to make sure I had it when I remembered I was missing my bow. My breath quickened as I started to freak out. That's when I noticed a sticky note on the back pack, I picked it up and read it.

'Dear Shad,

Your bow had the feature of turning into a backpack, do not freak out, you haven't lost Apollo and Artemis' gifts.

Also, Umbra dearly misses you as time goes by slower here, but T decided to make it so a day there is only three days here. O and J/M tell you to train hard so you don't lose your touch. S tells you to stay safe and learn a lot, and T tells you to scare some people.

I chuckle at the note before slinging my pack onto my back and walking out of the room making sure to lock it. I then make my way towards my home room class which I remembered as being on the first floor of the big building near the dorms. As I walked I put my earbuds in and pulled my phone out before finding the song 'Back in Black' by AC/DC. I then put my phone back into its pocket before pulling my sunglasses out of a shadow, putting them on, then putting my hand in my pocket, as I held the right strap of my back over my right shoulder. I made it to the classroom before opening the door and striding in causing the entire class who was in a lesson to go silent. I rolled my eyes and made my way to a desk near the front next to two girls and a guy and I put my bag down before sitting down and crossing my arms.

"Glad you could join us Mr. Shad" Annabeth said slightly irritated that I interrupted her class "Would you like to explain why you were late on your first day of school?" she said with authority

"Nah, I don't feel like explaining my actions to people, if after a while you still don't know the reason behind them then I will explain myself" I said which caused some of the others to look at me in shock that I would talk to her that way

"Excuse me?" She said as she put her hands on her hips and glared at me

I took my sunglasses off and tossed them into a shadow before giving her a glare worthy of Tartarus, which caused her to shiver and me to smile cruelly. Just then seven others, ones that I remembered as Nico, Jason, Piper, Leo, Frank, Hazel, and Thalia, walked in and Annabeth smiled while I scowled at most of them.

"Class, as most of you bar Shad, know, this year we are mostly focusing on training instead of bookwork, though there will be homework" Annabeth said and everyone cheered but I groaned

'Yay... MORE training, it's not even hard training not like Lunar's where even after three thousand years I still have trouble with it' I thought to myself as I pulled my phone on and I heard everyone gasp

"SHAD!" Jason yelled "Why do you have that!" he finished as he reached for it but I shadow traveled back into the space in between desks

"Because I can, and rule one, don't touch my shit" I growled as I put my phone away and pulled my tomahawk out of a shadow

"Phones attract monsters!" Thalia yelled that's when I heard a horn blast and the remaining six of the seven flashed away while Nico shadow traveled Thalia away

"You idiot!" A kid said and I laughed a cold hard laugh

"Kid, I'll have you know a GOD gave me this, therefore it would suspect it to be monster proof, that attack happened on its own. But just to ease your little fears, I'll take on the attack" I said as I smirked and everyone looked at me "Alone" With that I shadow traveled to the wall where I knew the attack was

I appeared on the wall and saw a small army of monsters and I chuckled.

"What are you laughing at! You caused this!" Thalia shouted and I rolled my eyes

"Let me handle it, since it's 'my fault' I'll fix it" I said and I willed my tomahawk away before pulling out a card and extending my arm to the side summoning my sword

"You'll die!" Frank shouted and I looked at him and smirked

"Then I die, no biggie now stay out of my way or you will be cut into many pieces" I say as I jump off the wall and as I fall through the air I summoned my shield, which I upgraded with pit metal, just as I hit the ground

"Let's have some fun!" I say in a demonic tone of voice which causes the small army to growl before charging me

I brandished my sword and they all hesitated before continuing their charge. I laughed darkly before charging the monsters. I thrust my blade through the skull of a hellhound before deflecting a club of a cyclops.

I dropped into a shadow, reappearing behind the cyclops and I swung my sword at its ankles effectively cutting its feet off before it burst into golden dust. I felt the hairs on the back of my neck raise and I leaned forward as a spear flew over my head. I then spun around and launched my sword into a dracaena. I pulled my tomahawk from a shadow as I willed my shield away and I continued attacking the monsters. After several minutes of ducking, dodging and attacking the last monster fell and I dropped to a knee pretending to be exhausted. I saw the others flash over to me and I scowled slightly.

"Shad, what was that!?" Annabeth asked as she tried to help me up

"Built up anger and rage, now don't touch me!" I shouted the last part as I shook her off and slowly stood

"Can I see your phone please Shad?" Leo asked nicely and I smiled as I tossed him my phone

He caught it and quickly looked over it before chuckling.

"Guess what guy's this phone isn't the thing that caused the attack, its monster signal proof" Leo said as he handed it back to me and I smiled

"What? How?" Piper asked and Leo shrugged

"I don't know beauty queen, but Shad, come to the warehouse, you can do what you want there, I just want to figure out how your phone works" Leo said as he held out his hand "Name's Leo by the way"

"Thanks Leo, and I will do that" I said as I took my phone back and put in my pocket "Anyway, I'm going to bed. I'm tired"

"No, you're going back to class, and I can't believe I'm saying this but you can sleep in class" Annabeth said and I chuckled "ONLY for today"

"Thanks" I said shortly as I shadow traveled back to the classroom where everyone was talking and messing around

I sat in my desk and went into a trance-like state to make it look like I was sleeping.

(Two hours later)

I woke up and saw a girl sitting next to me in her desk that was seemingly moved closer.

"I think he is waking up guys" The girl whispered as she moved and put her head on her hands on my desk "Hey cool guy, your name is Shad correct?" she asked and I nodded warily "My name is Sarah Winter, I am very glad to meet you" She said seductively with a flutter of her eyes and I looked around and saw jealous glares from various males in the room

"Okay..." I said as I focused on the girl

She had snow white hair, with lavender eyes, she was wearing a sweater that people would consider cute and she had a feather in her hair. Her skin was pale but it just added to her looks. However, I felt nothing. Sarah giggled slightly at my response.

"You must be strong to have caused such a ruckus in the last class, who is your godly parent" She asked as she stared at me

"Hades, god of the underworld" I answered as I pulled my deck of cards out and drew the first two before putting them on the table and then shuffling the cards

I waved my hand over them and they turned into a normal deck of cards that I then used to start playing solitaire.

"My mother is Khione, goddess of snow" She said as she watched me and I was saved by Piper coming into the room and putting everyone in their seats

I collected my cards and waved a hand over them turning them pitch black again. I then grabbed the two cards and put them on top of the deck and put the cards on my belt before crossing my arms and waiting as she taught everyone about the more dangerous monsters such as Hydras, Giants, Drakons, Dragons, and such. I sighed as Piper went over various different ways of defeating each monster.

"Shad, are you paying attention?" Piper asked and I looked at her

"As much as I can" I said with a fake yawn

"You will pay attention" She said and I felt her use charm speak

"Make me" I responded with a smirk as she looked shocked that I resisted her power

"Fine, tell me, what is the best way of avoiding hydra acid?" She asked and I sighed

"The best way? Well, you want to start by lunging forward..." I started but she cut me off

"Wrong" Piper said and everyone laughed causing me to smirk "The best way is to dodge backwards..."

"That puts more distance for more acid attacks, lunging forward to dodge the first attack puts you in melee range, one head will try to bite you, you block that then roll backwards to avoid the acid that comes from either side. At that point you have a choice of running forward, this method is best if you have access to fire, or you can get more distance if you have reinforcements on the way" I explained with a smirk and Piper went silent as well as the rest of the class

"That is actually smart" Sarah said from next to me and I rolled my eyes

"Shad, do you want to give us a demonstration?" Piper said with a sly smile and I smirked as I stood up and walked out side

"You give me a hydra, I would be happy to show you" I said and Sarah giggled

"I believe Leo has made something" Piper said as she followed and Sarah pushed past her to stand next to me and I heard a few guys grumbling

"Ugh, she won't leave me alone" I grumbled to myself 'I have my eyes on someone else anyway' I thought to myself as a certain warm goddess entered my mind

We got outside and I saw a large metallic automaton that looked like a hydra standing next to Leo.

"So Shad, you feeling confident now?" Piper asked and I looked at her and laughed

"This? This is nothing" I said as I turned toward the automaton and Leo turned it on causing it to let out a loud roar "Let's dance"

A/N: I know, I am having Shadow/Percy be a bit cocky but hey, he has been fighting monsters for over three thousand years.
