Here in City Z things are normally quiet, as expected from a ghost town. But right now we see a lot of activity, Ben and Akane have been flying throughout the city. As to why, they heard of some strange activity in the area, one incident involving someone being pulled underground.

"Have an idea?" Akane asked Ben, who was currently in Predator form and running on all fours while she was flying above him in Mosquito form. "Nothing, I can't seem to find anyone, granted this place was abandoned before" he replied. For the past week Ben and Akane had still been roommates.

And oddly enough better than any any other pair of roomies. They hardly ever argue at all, and they even did a good job during hero work. "Hope we do find something soon, otherwise I'm sure we may have a monster invasion on our hands" Akane said. "True that, hey what's that Up ahead?" Predator asked pointing to a glowing green light.

"It looks like it's on the edge of City Z" the bug girl inquired, "if its our guy let's not waste any time" Ben said running faster then turning into Omni and flew upwards. Unfortunately instead of their monster Ben accidentally ran into a young girl with green eyes and hair. "Ow hey watch where you're going!!" She yelled.

"Eh sorry, what are you doing here?" The alien asked, "I should be asking you that monster, why have you been pulling innocent people underground" the green girl asked again. "Hey I didn't do anything like that, and if anything I could easily ask you the same thing" Ben retorted.

Akane got in between them to prevent a fight, "okay enough please don't start a fight" the insect girl pleaded. "Any way, listen miss, we are also investigating the disappearances of people also" She explained to the girl. "Maybe we can help each other out, after all who says these things, whatever they are aren't as weak as they appear, or... seem to".

"Okay then, is it a deal?" Ben asked, the girl thought then nodded, "fine, but don't go telling anyone I'm working with monsters" she said. Both sweat dropped, "we aren't monsters, we just look a little weird"Ben said.

"So what's your name?" The greenette asked, "names Currently Omni" Ben answered, "Mosquito girl is currently mine" Akane said. "Tatsumaki, Tornado of Terror Class S hero" the girl said. "Hero? Class S, is that a thing? Maybe we should check that out" Ben said, "maybe" Akane added then they looked around.

"At least I know why I feel like I've seen you before, you're that giant thing that took out the giant" Tatsumaki said. "Yeah that's me, although how did you know about me?" Ben asked, "we at the hero association find people and make them super heroes, we saw you take down the giant and now that I found you I want to recruit you" tornado answered.

"Oh neat" Ben said, "can I join also?" Akane asked, "maybe, just make sure your physically and mentally prepared. The tests they put you through I kinda demanding" Tatsumaki advised them. All of a sudden, Omni was pulled hip deep into the ground "WHAT THE!??!?!?!!" Ben exclaimed trying to get himself out.

"I think we found them" Tatsumaki said lifting Ben out of the ground with some sort of telekinetic ability. "You use telekinesis also? Cool" Ben commented, "you have telekinesis?" Tatsubaki asked sarcastically.

Ben nodded then used a combination of Brainstorm's Brain power plus Gravattack's gravity manipulation to life the ground up. This intern exposed the monsters in question, human sized brown creatures with slightly animalistic features. "I must admit I am impressed" Tatsumaki said with honesty, Akane then flew down.

"Who are you and why are you dragging people underground?" She asked. One of them spoke up "we are known by you surface dwellers as the subterraneans" it said. "We are suffering by over population so we came up here, only to see it is over populated as well, so we are eradicating every human one by one".

Ben then smirked, "oh yeah you and what army?" He asked, Tatsumaki smirked as well "agreed what army?". Mosquito girl sweat dropped "didn't you hear him, he said that they are suffering from over population" she stated.

"I'm a woman" the previous one spoke up, Akane then paled, "ouch" Ben said. "And as for an army" nearly thousands of subterraneans came up from up from under ground. "Well... asked and answered" Ben said as he face palmed at the fact that he had to asked. "I can take em" Tatsumaki declared charging at them.

She used her telekinesis to make dozens of them levitate into the sky then threw them back down. Ben saw hundreds coming for him and he knocked them back with FOURMADRILLO arms. "Man this guy is strong" one of the subterraneans said about Ben's hybrid alien strength.

"Yeah well let's see if he can take on our giant soldiers" another said. Then out of nowhere bigger subterraneans the size of full height humongousaur started stomping around. "Looks like we may be outclassed" Ben said growing to Humungosaur's full height and fighting them off. Mosquito girl had flown away narrowly avoiding their hands from swatting her.

"Now I know how normal... AAAAHHH!!! Mosquitoes feel when... EEEEEEEKK!!! They get swat... WOAH BOY!!" She said dodging the subterraneans. She had landed on one's head, "okay here buddy boy come and get me" she taunted one. It came over and smacked the subterranean she was standing on in the head.

To which the second one punched the one who hit him and they both started fighting. Then hit each other in the head and both KOed, Akane smirked at her handy work. "Two for the price of one" she stated then got caught by one "WAH!?!? HELP!!!!!" She cried.

Tatsumaki looked to Ben who had one giant's head clutched in one hand and the other repeatedly punch another's gut. Tornado then helped Mosquito girl out by throwing a couple she had trapped in her telekinesis and threw them at her attacker.

"Whew thanks" she said, "don't mention it" one that had glowing joints, three eyes and four arms came up from under. "I see you all have been taking good care of my children, now it is your turn to face me, THE SUBTERRANEAN KING!!!!" It roared.

"Hey Tatsumaki?" Ben whispered to her, "once I get high enough use your telekinesis to pull me down hard enough to where I'm at the equivalent of a meteor" he instructed them launched up high into the air, once at ample height, Ben felt something pull him down.

Back in the ground Mosquito girl had launched a swarm of mosquitoes at the subterranean king sucking his blood or whatever he had. While Tatsumaki has been putting force over force on Ben who had sped down hard enough to strike the king on the head with the combined force of Rath and Armadrillo's arms.

This had brought the king down, which had scared the other subterraneans into heading back down underground. "Oh yeah, tell us people who can do that oh wait you can't cuz thats us" Ben gloated. "I must admit, for a monster you have ingenious ideas" Tatsumaki commented.

"Thanks, seems like we won't be seeing them for a while" Ben commented. "Looks like it, well I'm off to make a report" the telekinetic woman said floating off. "Wait didn't you say you wanted to recruit me?" Ben asked, Tatsumaki stopped and floated back red with embarrassment.

"We will never speak of my forgetfulness" she stated sternly. Ben smiled, "got it lips sealed" he said doing the gesture. Akane did the same, "also as for my real name" Ben said reverting to normal. "I am Ben Tennyson" he said, Mosquito girl did the same, "and my name is Akane" she said.

"Well good to meet your human side Akane, and yours to Be..."  her eyes kept locked on him. One place specifically, his eyes 'his eyes, beautiful emerald green eyes' she thought then turned away.

"Okay, well fallow me" she said leading them to the hero association headquarters. Ben had a confused face as to why she was blushing, "what's up with her, did she get a fever or something?" He asked.

Akane shrugged, truthfully she was actually giggling on the inside. 'Looks like you have an admirer Benny boy' she thought.

Time skip, Hero association headquarters

They had finally reached the place Tatsumaki was talking about. A large black building, "well?" She asked, Ben shrugged "impressive but I've seen bigger" he said. They then walked in and saw a large corse made for physical training. "The hero application trials  aren't due for another few weeks but we've made an exception for you" Tornado added.

"Great so where should I start?" Ben asked ready to give it his all.

After a while Ben was now showering off.

There were a lot of tough, and quite ridiculous training tests. Power lifting, track and field, punch test, side steps,  vertical jump, whack a mole and then a written test.

"Man talk about rough" Ben said, "and what was wit the whack a mole? Hand eye coordination?" He asked himself. As he walked out of the shower rooms he found Akane passed out on a bench "hey Akane" he greeted.

She raised her claw in response, "I'm guessing those tests were a little rough on you weren't they?" the shapeshifter asked. "Yup, but all worth it to become heroes" she said, "I want to make amends for what I did when I was a monster" she explained. Ben gave her a sympathetic look "well welcome to the life of a hero" he said.

Tatsumaki then came out holding two envelopes, "well here are your hero evaluation grades, by the way we're ranked from S to C, S being the highest C being the lowest" she explained. "Got it" Ben said as he took an envelope with his name on it.

"Well here it goes" Akane said, she then squealed "look I'm A class" she said showing Ben her evaluation. "Awesome, now as for me" he took it out and went wide eyed "what's wrong Ben?" Both girls asked as they looked at his evaluation. It was S Class, "woah awesome your an S class super hero" Akane squealed again.

"Nice job, rank 2 also man nice job" Tatsumaki complimented. Ben just grinned in slight joy, "thanks, I think this is a reason to..." his sentence was cut off by Akane "CELEBRATION!!!" She screamed dragging Ben and Tatsumaki out.

"Hey come on it's kinda early, plus I'm sure Tornado has some extra work to do" Ben said. "Actually" a voice said which turned out to be the director of the association. "Why don't you get off work early Tatsubaki, I think with all the extra work you did you deserve a little time off" he said,

"Uh it's fine..." the mosquito cut the S-class hero off again "TOO LATE LETS GO!!!!!" She said dragging them off.

The next day Ben had found himself back in his apartment, on the other side of the room was a disheveled (human) Akane sleeping on the floor. "What exactly happened last night?" Ben asked.

He heard a small voice chirp from right next to him, he looked to said direction and saw a snoozing Tatsubaki under the covers. "Seriously, what did happen last night!?" He asked himself, hoping nothing, inappropriate happened last night.

A knock then came from the door, "excuse me Ben San, master had just woken up and wanted me asked to ask you please not start up the noise from last nig..." he froze when he saw them. "Uh this isn't what it looks li..." Ben was trying to say when Saitama came in.

"Please quiet down, some of us actually want to sleep I..." he then saw the awkward scene. And then grinned "so old Ben Tennyson had actually did it" Saitama said smugly. "I know you like Akane as a friend and roommate but I never imagined that you'd actually... and this girl to!? Oh for shame" he added on.

"Hey, "he then made two clones and plugged the girl's ears "THIS ISNT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE AKANE JUST WANTED TO THROW A PARTY AND WE JUST ENDED UP LIKE THIS GUYS!!!!!" Ben threatened chasing after Saitama after smashing Genos into the ground.

As to where those two were the entire chapter Saitama had gone to the super market and Genos went to get repairs.
