Chapter 6: The Village
"To the village!" Alex shouted, raising her stick up. Me and Steve laughed. "So, how is this village?" I asked Steve. He shrugged and said,"It's cool, I guess." I did a scared face. "Oh god! Don't tell me they're annoying like the books say!" "Where did you learn that?" "A book." Steve shrugged and started picking up the pace, leaving me and Alex walking side by side. "So, have any friends in the, *cough* Nether?" "I got my best mob friend Wither and my bro-" "You have a brother?!" Alex interrupted. I nodded. "His name's Hero." Alex looked down and sighed. "I see why he called you Brine then." I looked down, but then looked up shocked when she said, "But it's cute!" I blushed. "Th-thanks." Alex blushed and rubbed the back of her neck. I looked at her beautiful fire hair, as it swayed in the wind. "What, are you looking at?" I blushed even harder and looked at a coo, I think. "At that coo!" I shouted quickly, pointing at the brown and white creature. Alex giggled and touched my nose with my finger. "What was that?" I asked, touching my nose. "It's called a boop, and that 'coo' is called a cow silly!" She shouted, 'booping' my nose once again. "Oh," I said, booping her nose back. She laughed once again and touched her nose. "Come on you two!" Steve shouted, waving his arms around. "We're coming!" Alex shouted, grabbing my hand and running. We caught up with him, and once we did, he gave me that glare. "Stay away from my sister," He whispered to me. I backed up and nodded.
After a few minutes of walking, I saw some buildings in the distance. "There it is!" Alex shouted, pointing to the buildings. "You can show him around, I'm going to go see my friends," Steve said, walking away afterwards. "Where should we start first?" I asked. "Hmm, at the market," Alex said, walking forward.
The village was grand. It had wooden and cobble houses, sizes big, small, and medium. There were market stands, parks, and even people. Some of them looked kind of funny, while others were normal minecrafters. "Hey Alex," A blonde girl said, waving. "Hey Kate," Alex replied, hugging her. Kate looked at me and smiled. "What's your name?" Kate asked, letting go of Alex and walking up to me. "That's Br-" "Bruce," I quickly said. "Nice to meet you," Kate said, putting up her hand. "It's called a high five," Alex whispered. I smacked my hand to hers. She nodded, impressed. "Well, I gtg. Bye!" Kate shouted, walking away. "Gtg?" I asked. "It's a short way of saying I got to go," Alex explained. I nodded. "But, why did you lie about your name?" "Do they know about my father?" I asked, whispering. Alex looked around, then nodded. "Exactly, they'll get suspicious." "Oooooh, that makes sense." I did an exactly-why nod. "So, Bruce, follow me," Alex said. I laughed. She giggled and started walking. I followed, looking around as well.
Like, 2 minutes of walking, she stopped. "Here we are," She said, waving her hand around. There will a lot of market stands here. Some people selling clothing, others selling food, weapons, or other things. "Here, father gave me some money to buy things," She said, giving me 10 gold ingots. "This is the money here?" I asked, looking at the little gold pieces. "Yeah, why?" She asked, taking out some gold ingots. "It's nether warts for us," I answered, taking out some. "Hide that," Alex quickly said, stuffing the nether warts back in my pocket. "Why?" I whispered. "My father bans anyone from going down there, so it's impossible to get those," She whispered back. "Then, why did you go?" "Steve convinced him." I nodded and hid the nether warts in my inventory. "So, do you want to buy something?" Alex asked. I looked around and saw a little jewelry booth. "Why don't you hang out with your friends? I'll be here if you need me, okay?" Alex looked at me confused, then nodded. "K! See ya' later B." "B?" "Your nickname," She said, before running off. I blushed. B? Hm, cute... I shook my head and went over to the jewelry booth. "Hello sir!" The lady said. She had blue hair, a purple dress with beads, and blue eyes. "Um, I would like to buy something," I said, looking at the things she had. "For who?" She asked, leaning on the wood of her booth. "For, someone..." "Special?" She finished, sounding interested. I nodded, blushing. "Ah, a girl?" She said, taking out a box. I nodded once again. "Explain her, so I can decide." "She's like a child, cute, orange hair girl, sweet kind-" "Alex?" She interrupted. I nodded. "Oooo, this will be tuff." She started digging around, until she came out with a gold necklace, with a circle and a bird in it. (Like picture above) "I love it!" i exclaimed, looking at it. "That will be 7 gold ingots," She said, sticking out her hand. I took out the ten that Alex gave me. I sighed and handed her 7. "You know what," She said, giving me 2 back. "What?" I asked. "It's for someone you love, and for that, it's 2 off," She answered. I blushed. "Th-thank you miss-" "Lola," She finished, putting the necklace in a black little box. She handed it to me. I thanked her and put the box into my inventory. "But, what is your name?" She asked. "Bruce, or B," I answered. "Okay B, have a nice day." I walked away, waving to her. I took out the box and opened it. "I hope you like it," I whispered. I bumped into someone, dropping the box. "You okay?" The person asked. I looked up and saw a red hand reaching out to me. I grabbed it and pulled myself up. "Dropped this," The person said, giving it to me. I looked at the person and saw a lava creeper. Above his head, I read, felo104. (Know where he came from?) "Uh, thanks," I said, grabbing the box. "My name's Felo, and you?" He asked. "I'm Bruce," I said, taking out my hand. He shook it. "It's nice to meet you," He said. "You new?" I nodded. "I actually came with Steve and Alex." "Oh, Steve? Where is he?" He asked, looking around. "I'm not so sure." "Oh, well, I got to go. See ya' Bruce," He said, walking off. "Wow, that was well," I said to myself, putting the box away. "Boo!" A voice behind me shouted. I jumped and screamed. "Ahhh!" I looked around and saw Alex. "Hehehe," She giggled. I sighed. "Really?" She nodded. "See you met some new friends?" She asked. "Yeah, two actually," I answered, putting up two fingers. "That's nice," Alex said, smiling. "Oh, uh, I, got something for you." I took out the box and handed it to her. She opened it and gasped. "You shouldn't have," She said, taking out the necklace. "I thought you would like it," I said, looking down and blushing. "I don't like it, I love it!" She exclaimed, hugging me. "Here, let me," I said, taking the necklace and putting it on her. She looked at it and smiled. "It's beautiful," She said. "Like you," I whispered, but maybe not. "Wha?" She said. I blushed. "Oh, did I say that out loud!" I said, blushing so hard. "Uh, hu," She said, blushing and nodding. "Oh, s-sorry," I stuttered. "I-it's fine," She stuttered back, looking down and holding the necklace. It was an awkward moment of silence, until," Hey sis." We both looked at Steve and waved. Steve looked at me, then at the necklace. "Where did you get that?" He asked. "B-brine gave it to me," She said, looking at me. "Oh, well, ahem," Steve said, giving me the same glare from earlier. "Want to go mining?" Steve asked, taking out a pickaxe. "Is it okay?" Alex asked. Steve shrugged. "It would be fun," I said, rubbing my neck. "Well, I got three picks, let's go," Steve said, giving me and Alex a pickaxe.
