"Ana," Trinity says coming into her room.
"Trinity, congratulations," Ana tries to smile but it falls flat. She hasn't been able to smile since Christmas break. That's when everything fell apart.
Trinity sees the pain in her eyes and knows time is short. "Thank you. When are we leaving?"
Ana intentionally misunderstands his question. "The party starts at the hotel in half an hour. We should be leaving soon."
Trinity grabs Ana's arm as she tries to pass him, "Stop it, Ana. I need to know, when are we leaving Phoenix's house?"
"Tomorrow. I didn't want to ruin your's and Trina's night. You both deserve to enjoy this night. You've worked hard to graduate and with the top honors in the school, you and Trina both. I'm very proud of you both."
Ana goes to him and gives him a hug. "Ana," Trinity starts to say but Ana moves back from him.
"No, he made his choice. I've only stayed this long so you could finish high school with your friends. I'll be enrolling in online next year so that won't be a problem. The new house is ready according to Jonah. No one knows of it, not even Calum. I want it kept that way.
"Now it's time to go and celebrate." Ana doesn't want to celebrate though. Ever since she found out that Damon was dating Jenny again she's been sick. He chose the lying bint over her and that's not something she can easily forgive, not this time. He knew of the death threats Jenny gave her and he still went back to her.
She hasn't spoken to Damon since she found out Christmas day. Finding that bitch in the house for breakfast kissing Damon, Ana has never felt so betrayed in her life. It was only the reasoning of Gemma and others that she stayed to let Trinity finish school.
She didn't invite Damon to the graduation party, she doesn't know if the others did or not. She no longer cares.
She doesn't even plan on taking much with her. Only her clothes and not even all of that. The rest were gifts from Damon and she can't stand looking at them any more. She's already had them packed up so she doesn't have to. She even has her clothes that she wants to take packed as well. Once Trinity and her men are ready she'll be ready to go as well.
"How long will it take you to pack?" Ana asks as they leave her room.
Trinity shrugs, "I'm more or less packed. I figured you'd want to leave as soon as possible after graduation."
Ana breathes a sigh of relief. Someone understands her at least.
"The men?" She holds more trepidation about them.
"They don't like that you are going behind Calum's back, but they are ready to go as well. Some have already taken their things to the new house. What about Trina?"
Ana takes a deep breath and sighs, "I'll be talking to her tonight. I'll let her know that if she wishes that she can divorce Calum now. She won't be allowed into the new house until then. You and your mother will be allowed to see her, but not at the house until she is no longer married to Calum.
"There is no way that Calum won't tell Damon the location of the new house if he finds out about it. Damon may not give a shit about me but he still has delusions of owning me."
"It's not ownership, Ana, you are his ward. He is legally responsible for you." Trinity says patiently. They've had this conversation before.
"He doesn't give a shit, Trinity. He's proved that to me over the last six months very clearly." Ana ends their conversation as they get in the car and head over to where she was hosting the party.
Damon had offered to host it at his hotel, The Sands, but Ana refused to even acknowledge the offer. She is hosting it at her hotel, perhaps not the best, that's The Sands, but it's gaining on popularity. Ana fully expects her hotel to be on level with Damon's by the end of the following year.
"Trina, can I have a word with you please?" Ana asks over the noise of the music playing in the ballroom.
"Of course," Trina replies and follows her mistress to her office.
Once they reach the hotel office Ana lets Trina in and shuts the door behind her. "I didn't expect you to leave the party without bodyguards. Calum tells me that the threats against you, as Hawk, have increased the last few months."
"I have security tight. That's not what I wanted to talk to you about. I know when I semi forced you and Calum into marriage I told you that you could get divorced in five years. That I fully expected you two to try to make the marriage work. It's been only about a year, how are things going?" Ana looks at the older girl intently.
Trina shrugs unsure of what to say. "Okay, I guess. He spends a lot of time doing business." Trina looks down at her hands and now has a hard time holding back tears.
"There are times he comes back home smelling of perfume and cigarettes. I've found lipstick stains on his shirt collar more than once."
"I told you to tell me if he ever cheated on you or hurt you." Ana is incensed. Apparently her warning to Calum fell on deaf ears. Those two are definitely brothers, neither gives a shit about her.
"I had no definite proof, Ana. I didn't want him hurt over my suspicions, or ruin your relationship with Phoenix." Trina says softly holding back her tears.
Ana gives a bitter laugh, "Oh, Phoenix ruined that relationship all on his own.
"I don't want you unhappy in your marriage, you are welcome to get a divorce at this time if you wish. You would be entitled to half of his earnings, but the house was my gift to you. He can't touch that. Let me know if you need money or help in anyway. My lawyer isn't a divorce lawyer, but he knows the best one in the state." Ana says to the teary girl in front of her.
"If you choose that route I'll make sure that he pays for your continued education and all living expenses until you are finished with school and have a job."
Trina just blinks at the girl in front of her, "Thank you Ana." She then bursts into tears.
Ana goes around her desk and holds the older girl to her. "The marriage was never meant to be a punishment, it was the only way I could keep you from being killed or sold into slavery. I want you to be happy, Trina. If that Ass can't do it, then you find someone that can."
It takes a few minutes for Trina to pull herself together and when she does she looks up at Ana, "What about you? You've been miserable, we all see it. Phoenix has hurt you and yet you still..."
"Phoenix has shown me he no longer wants a partnership with Hawk. He's made that very clear so I will be obliging him. I have set up a new Hawk's headquarters where Calum doesn't know where it is. He'll be released of his duties and be allowed to return to his brother where he wishes to be. He is no longer welcome among Hawk's men."
Trina is shocked. "How?"
"How did I set up a new Headquarters without Calum? Well you aren't the only one that's suspected him of cheating. When I found out I couldn't trust him anymore than I could his brother I had Jonah buy a new house and get things set up. If he hadn't of been so intent on going places he shouldn't of been going to he would have noticed." Ana isn't going to kill Calum she's going to let Damon do it.
"For security reasons I can't allow you to the new house until you are free from Calum. Once the headquarters are fully changed to the new location the old headquarters will be yours to do with as you see fit.
"You will be allowed to call and visit your mother and brother, but all visits will have to be at another location unless you wish to move in with us."
Trina is beyond shocked. She had known, they all had known that things were bad between Damon and Ana, but she hadn't realized that it had gotten so bad.
"I'll let you know." Trina whispers softly.
"My number will no longer work after tonight. I'll call you in about a week to find out what you desire to do. If you wish to remain with your husband that is commendable. But something I've found, once a fucking cheater, always a fucking cheater. You deserve better."
After they sit in silence and Trina is able to get herself composed once more they leave.
"Ana," She is grabbed by someone as they reenter the ballroom.
Ana has her knife out and to the man's most sensitive area immediately. "What the fuck are you doing here?"
"I was invited."
"Who the hell invited you?" Ana hisses more angry than she's ever been.
She follows the man's line of sight. "I should have known. Let me go Phoenix. Now." When Damon doesn't release her Ana pushes her knife further into his sensitive part. Damon then releases her as fast as he can.
Ana then goes to leave and Damon grabs her again. This time he protects his sensitive area. Ana is done playing games though. This time the knife is placed where she knows she'll be able to eviscerate him.
"We need to talk." Damon says as quick as he can.
"There is nothing more for us to talk about. You made your choice clear six months ago. You're a liar Damon Phoenix. I gave you until my birthday to allow you time to prove that you value me. All you've shown me is how much you want me gone." With that Ana leaves Damon and melts into the crowd.
She finds Trinity and lets him know that she will be leaving. She no longer feels good. She feels very sick actually.
Trinity was afraid that something like this would happen.
He watches as half a dozen Hawk men form up around her and leave the ballroom. He looks with hate at the man that has caused so much pain to his boss.
