Anyway, you can probably guess where this is going. I'm experimenting with timelines, which means you should probably run for cover.

The alternate timelines only show their differences when something drastically different happens that never did in our timeline, which we will call the Poultry Man Timeline. Each timeline is named after one or a group of Hermittpadders. For instance, I have a Watcher Timeline and a Duck Woman Timeline, but they will be explained later.

This would be easier to explain with a chart, but I'm too lazy to figure out every significant event that happened in Hermittpad's history, so instead I'll explain the timelines as I come up with them, and where exactly they became different from the Poultry Man Timeline.

The Duck Woman Timeline
This timeline began when the early Hermitpadders actually managed to crack Sherlock Grian's codes in time to save him from the Wither. This left more time to worry about another pressing issue we were trying to deal with at the time: Duck Woman's capture by the String Master.

The Darklock Timeline
Anyone remember Poultry Man's epic anime battle with Darklock? Yeah, well, in this timeline he lost, and the fight ended with his death. Darklock, now more powerful and invigorated by his win, joins the Watchers, whom had just arrived in Hermittpad. Of course, the grieving but still stubbornly heroic Hermittpadders took down the Watchers once they started rising further, but Darklock will always be there..... waiting.....

The Watcher Timeline
Poultry Man went to the WHQ hoping to negotiate..... and ended up getting stabbed and killed. Which isn't anything new, of course, but this time Duck Woman wasn't there to save him by bottling up his soul. Nope, he is completely, 100% dead, and the Watchers decide to take over Hermittpad, forcing everyone into either hiding or joining them. Or death.
