//3&4.//Cookies & Break//Season 7//

Stress sat. She sat for a while, staring at her kitchen. She wanted to bake, but she didn't know who to feed it to. She couldn't just let them go to waste!

Suddenly, she heard fireworks erupt in the clear sky, heavy breathing in amongst the noise.

Perfect.

She sped outside, hoping the next lucky hermit would see her. She waved her hands maniacally, whilst shouting "Hey! Over here!", only to see two hermits chasing each other.

Well, one hermit.

Stress had no clue who the other person was, and she couldn't get a good look either. All she could tell is that one of them is Wels.

"HEYYYYY" Stress shouted, louder this time.

Wels looked over before crashing into a tree, letting the other get further away. Wels looked annoyed.

"What's wrong?"

"I've got no time, there's a Helsmit on the loose.", Wels scowled.

Stress knows at least the concept of them. Evil creatures with no ounce of caring nature in them. Their only goal is to destroy Hermitcraft. Stress didn't like that concept, as something like that couldn't possibly exist. Somebody needed at least a little bit of compassion to survive, didn't they? She pondered on that for a while.

...

After a while, someone crashed in her door. She went to check it out, hoping that they weren't hurt. Unfortunately, they were. She inspected further, seeing what injuries there were.

Then it came to her... They weren't a Hermit!

They must of been the person Wels was chasing, as their appearance looked very similar to what she saw as they flew.

This person had dark black hair, and ruined armour with a few golden touches. They had flaming red eyes with a hint of orange, and spiky red horns coming out of their head. They looked similar to Wels, but defiantly smaller.

Stress carefully picked up the Helsmit, and carefully placed them onto her soft pink couch. They tried to resist, but were not strong enough to push her even the slightest.

She thought she'd make some cookies. Though they were rumoured to be evil, she couldn't help but be pitiful. She promised to herself she'd help anyone in need, even if others didn't like them.

She swiftly whipped up the sweet goods, even adding some of her special healing potion. After she completed making them, she left them to cool.

...

She waited for the Helsmit to wake up, and went to grab those delicious cookies.

Stress carefully woke them up, giving the injured devil a fresh cookie. They didn't take it at first, trying to look threating. They backed up in the process, though. They looked more like a scared cat. Injured and hungry, the resemblance was really there.

"W-who. Are. You?" They managed to stammer out.

"I'm Stress! You look injured, are you ok?"

"You- Uh- It's none of your business! Let me free, you feind!" They shouted, as they raised their sword in front of themself.

"Hey! Hey! I will not hurt you, dear. Now tell me, what happened?"

This stranger sighed, letting their guard down a little, and drawing their sword. Looks like they had no choice but to tell.

"Well, I broke into Wels' house, from the command of- uh- someone... He- Uh- Didn't like that very much. So, he chased me. Luckily, I got away.", They told, while not being able to recount all of it very well.

Stress gave a pitiful look. It sounds like something is going on at their home.

"Well... What your name?" Stress asked, trying to be civil. She gave a kind look, showing how impossibly kind she is.

The devils breathing hitched. Whether from the lack of breath or the question, they didn't quite know why. They gave in.

"Hels. M' Hels." He whispered, hoping she wouldn't hear.

"Hels, huh? That's a really pretty name!", She exclaimed.

Hels' face went red. They had never ever had anyone say that to them before. They even teared up, barely noticeable, though. Their feeling started to catch up to them.

"Why don't you have that cookie before it gets cold? It's good for you!", Stress suggested, though it not being entirely true. It's a cookie after all! Though, it did have that healing potion in it.

Hels hesitated. 'What if it's a trick?', they thought. "She's being too kind, it has got to be!'. Despite his small protests, he took a bite.

...

It felt good. Too good. They hadn't had anything like this for years. It was such a contrast to how they'd been treated in the past.

Many thoughts plagued their head. Why did she care so much?

Hels teared up more, noticeable now. That made Stress worried.

"Are you okay, dear? I can throw it out if its bad!", She said, wanting to make them feel as welcome as possible, despite the arguments with other Hermits she knew she'd have.

Stress put her arm around Hels in another attempt to comfort them.

"No- I-" Hels stuttered.

The dam broke.

Hels burst into tears, the feeling overwhelming them. They continued to try and eat the cookie, even through the tears.

The tears burnt more than the feeling in their throat whenever they tried to swallow, but they couldn't help it.

Stress gasped a bit, before pulling them in a tight hug and pulling the bitten cookie out of their hands. She pat their back encase they chocked a bit.

That made Hels cry harder. They loved this so much, if only they could stay there forever.

Stress and Hels lied down together, kind of like a mother-son embrace.

"Lets get you to bed, dearie. You need some rest."

And they stayed like that for the rest of the day. <3
