Doc let out a soft hum as he trudged down the streets, he was coming back from a day of work. He took care to avoid the puddles of water. It had been raining early, so naturally, everything was rather wet.

He was on his way to a local cafe.

Distracted, he hadn't noticed that he was about to crash into someone until he actually did.

The person they crashed into muttered something under their breath, grabbing onto Doc to steady themselves. Once they steadied themselves, they flickered a hand over their clothes before looking up at Doc.

"Oi! Watch where you're goi- oh," They broke off halfway, realising who they had crashed into. Doc blinked in surprise, he hadn't expected to crash into Bdubs... out of all the people.

It took Bdubs a minute or two to pick himself up again, but soon enough he narrowed his eyes at Doc. "Wait, it's you!" He sharply remarked.

"...Hello to you as well," Doc sighed.

Bdubs let out a huff, "You should watch you're going, y'know!"

"Apologies, I simply can't see over your shortness," The corners of Doc's lips turned upwards into a smirk.

Bduds glared at him. "Why, you-! I'd have you kn-" Whatever Bdubs was going to say was interpreted by a drop of water that fell on his head.

Doc also felt one land on his head. They both glanced upwards, dark clouds were rolling out into the sky. It looked like it was going to rain again... and sure enough, it did.

What started as droplets turned into larger drops, as the rain started coming down. Reaching for the umbrella he was carrying in his arm, Doc opened it up and extended it, placing the umbrella over his head.

Bdubs gave him one glance and then one at the sky, before moving closer to him. They were extremely close to each other, as Bdubs took shelter under Doc's umbrella.

Doc raised a quizzed eyebrow, "What are you doing?"

"Taking shelter... I am not getting wet," Bdubs replied, his cheeks had hints of the colour red to them. "Anyway," He quickly continued. "Where are you going?" The words before you crashed into me were left unsaid, as Bdubs felt he might get kicked out of the umbrella if he said that.

Doc let out a sigh, raising the umbrella so it covered them both better. It was raining now, so drops fell onto the umbrella and rolled off it. "To a cafe," He answered.

"Wonderful! Let's go then."

"...What are the chances I'm going to get rid of you?' Doc bluntly asked.

"None."

Doc shook his head, "Fine-"

A small smile came to Bdubs, perhaps he wasn't going to have to get wet after all! On the other hand, he was quietly panicking (if only he knew Doc was too). He could feel the heat from Doc from how close he was to him. Too close though? Definitely not.

His panic only increased when he felt Doc wrap an arm around him. He froze for a minute before looking at Doc, who refused to meet his eye. It suddenly occurred to Bdubs that he should probably savour the moment. And so that's what he did.

Feeling Bdubs relax a little, Doc softly smiled. "C'mon, let's go then," He murmured.

They both walked down the streets, Doc holding the umbrella over both of their heads as they made their way to the cafe Doc was originally going to. This time however Doc wasn't alone: two people were going now and so he had company, even if he hadn't been expecting it.
