Biffa's Second Head Hunt Part 1

Description: Biffa goes on a small hunt and tries to kill all the Hermits who joined after season three.

It had been a long time since he'd done this, but as he approached the small group of chatting Hermits by Grian's traveling cart, he knew he would soon be starting one of the biggest challenges of his life. Biffa called everyone's attention. Iskall, Wels, Cub, Ren, Scar, Zed, Stress, and Grian looked at him, all wondering why he gathered them there.

"I'm sure you'd all love to know why I called you here today. In season three I did a little head hunt where went around and killed all the other Hermits. All of you joined in season 4 or after," he said, pulling out a diamond sword with the name Hugs and Kisses 2 etched into the blade. The other Hermits to pull back, Iskall and Wels preparing to pull their own swords.

"Hold on, I'm not done yet," Biffa continued. "I'm going to hunt you all down one by one, firing a warning shot to let you know when your turn starts. I'll only stop if you kill me or I kill you. Since I'm a nice guy, I'll give you all one day before the game starts. Am I clear?" The whole group nervously nodded, scattering.

Biffa watched, chuckling to himself. "This is going to be fun."

Biffa crept into the iceberg base, trying his best not to slip on the ice or kick an exposed rock. He was already facing off against one of the best fighters on the server, and he did not need to screw this up. He poked his head around the corner and saw Iskall, decked out in diamond armor, putting a few things away in a chest. Biffa raised his bow and fired the warning shot, signaling that the game had begun. Iskall raised his own bow and fired it at Biffa's head before charging at him. This drew Biffa out of his hiding spot, raising his blade to meet Iskall's.

"On top of your game as always, I see," Biffa said.

"You're not so bad yourself," Iskall remarked, before pulling his sword back and knocking Biffa off balance slightly and exposing his abdomen, which Iskall struck. Biffa took a flint and steel out of his inventory and struck it on top of a bit of Iskall's shirt not covered by his chest plate. The fabric caught fire as soon as a spark hit, and Iskall backed away, swatting at the flames. Biffa took this opportunity to take a swipe at his arm. Diamond connected with flesh and Iskall felt sharp pain but swung his sword with all the strength he could gather. Then when he could pull his other arm free, he gripped his sword two-handed, mustering strength before the final blow. Before he felt the blade slicing into his back and killing him, Biffa tried the fire trick again in hope of getting a simultaneous kill, fabric catching as quickly as it did the first time.

This did not kill Iskall, but it did bring him close to it. Iskall survived and picked up Biffa's stuff before going to wait for him on the ice. After a few minutes, Iskall saw Biffa flying over the ice coming in for a landing.

"That was a good fight. You did great." He said after landing.

"Thanks, man. You didn't do so bad yourself." Iskall said, handing Biffa his gear back.

"Well I still lost, so you're safe. I won't be going after you again."

"What are you going to do now?" Iskall asked.

"Well I was planning on taking you out, and if I still had the energy, trying for Stress or maybe even Zedaph if he's around, but right now I just wanna rest."

"I see. Take it easy bro."

And with that, they both went their separate ways.

If Iskall was the basically the kid in school who was over prepared for everything, Wels was the kid who over-procrastinated. To his credit, he was trying to get a few more enchants from Jevin to prepare his armor and weapons for an unexpected attack, but because he chose to stealth it without armor, he was left virtually defenseless when the arrow planted itself in the ground at his feet. He ran as fast as he could, passing Jevin's home to try to lose Biffa in the Shopping district. He ran making alternating lefts and rights to the docks before cutting in front of the Cherry Shop and ducking behind iTrade, managing to lose Biffa in the process. Once he felt it was safe to do so, Wels sprinted to Jevin's place. He reached the door and started banging on it in the hopes that Jevin would be home. This, of course, attracted the attention of Jevin, and Wels hoped it did not do the same for Biffa.

"Dude I gotta hide. Biffa's trying to kill me." He said looking around to make sure the knocking didn't give him any ideas where he was.

"Sure man, no problem," Jevin said opening his door for Wels, who rushed in. Once inside, Welse ducked into Jevin's room, peeking out the large window to see Biffa approaching Jevin.

"Hey Jevin, have you seen Wels?" He asked.

Jevin opened his door. "Oh no, not at all," he shouted, confusing Biffa.

Wels lifted his foot to the glass, ready to kick in the window and run if he had to.

"What are you up to Jevin?" Biffa asked as he pushed into the house.

"Nothing at all. Totally not giving Wels up or anything."

At this Biffa decided to play along, and Wels decided to break the window and jump out, cutting himself on multiple jagged pieces. The noise caught Jevin and Biffas' attention, and they both went to the bedroom to investigate. They both saw a large break in the glass and Wels trying to run. Biffa drew his bow and killed him in two shots.

Biffa jumped down a dark hole and landed in a small room with a bed, a chest, a shulker, and a screen. Then the screen flashed to life, showing Cubfan.

"Hello, Biffa. I have a little challenge for you," he said as a door opened. Biffa went to check what was in the other room when he saw a lava parkour course with floating bits of TNT, which looked like dangerous possible roots. "I got this idea from Grian, but made it my own. You have to complete this course, and if you do, I'll let you kill me. In your room you'll see a shulker box with 9 swords," Biffa checked the box, and sure enough, there were 9 diamond swords, all named some variation of Hugs and Kisses, lining the top row. "Those are all your lives. Once they all run out, you're done. Put your stuff in the chest and set your spawn when you're ready."

As Biffa set his spawn, he was surprised and oddly flattered that Cub went through all this trouble in under two days. He placed all his stuff in the chest and took the first leap. After a few leaps, he found himself in a tricky spot. He could either try to leap on the pillar with the block above it and risk falling into the lava if he hits his head on the block, or take the longer TNT route. He chose the TNT, quickly leaping off each block before it exploded. He then leapt off a TNT block right by the wall and landed on the solid block jutting out only for an arm to come out of the wall and knock him into the lava right next to the detonating TNT, the blast launching bits of lava at him on top of the force and landing in lava.

After respawning, Biffa decided to take the other route, knocking his head on the block and falling into lava three times before finally managing to duck under the block and land on the pillar. The next pillar was lower down and a few blocks thicker with pressure plates on top. He leaped onto the pillar, landing on the pressure plates and not thinking anything of them until a heavy stream of arrows rained down on him killing him instantly. Biffa tried to get back to that spot, losing another life by hitting his head on the block again, jumping off onto another similar pillar with lingering potion effects. He tried again twice, each time either getting nailed by the arrows or the potions. After respawning, Biffa looked in the shulker to see only one sword remaining. Biffa stood at the start of the course and readied himself before rushing it, managing to avoid the head trap and the trap pillars and landing on a block hanging off the wall with no pressure plate on top. He stopped to rest for a second and look ahead and see what the course still has in store for him when he felt the thin string next to him, and the block moves out from under him.

Rendog leaped from treetop to treetop dodging any arrows that were not blocked by the lower branches. He had to admit, Biffa was determined after a loss, but he could not admire it right now as Biffa was currently trying to murder Ren in his own tree farm. Ren also remembered how Biffa took a day off after failing to murder Iskall Cub and thought if he could at least kill him, it'd give the others some time to prepare for when Biffa comes for them.

A sharp piercing pain brought Ren out of his noble thoughts. He looked down to his side to see an arrow.

"Alright Ren, you've had your fun. Come down and fight me." Biffa said.

"No. I'm going to kill you so the next guy has more time to prepare, and if that involves staying up in this tree, then so be it." Ren declared.

"Sounds more like something Wels would do."

"Well you killed him before he could even figure out the pattern, and besides, if he was still in this game, he'd have figured it out and tried it anyway, so what's your point?"

Biffa turned to walk away. "Well you enjoy that," he said, "I'll just go find someone else to play with."

As Biffa turned his back to Ren, Ren ran across the treetops, ready to pounce on Biffa and kill him with his own sword. However, as he leapt down from the trees aimed at Biffa's back, Biffa turned back to him and swung his sword, slicing Ren right across the stomach, killing him.

Author's note: If I didn't have such a huge problem with procrastinating, this would have been out on Valentines Day as a partial bit of vengeance against my least favorite holiday, but it's out now, so enjoy.  Part 2 comming soon.
