Mistress of Sorrow
(New villain, anyone? Also, very much inspired (NOT COPIED. I ACTUALLY CHANGED A LOT OF THINGS) by &list=PL5_TydTdnAFGf_iVbmFWVWqH4OxQIjLfq&index=15 )
(Also, this chapter has an easter egg. See if you can find it before the end of the chapter; where I'll reveal it.)
(???'s POV)
I punched the goshdarnit regenerating tree again.
"STUPID FOREST; AND STUPID BANISH! I DIDN'T EVEN COMMIT THE GODDAMN CRIME!", I screamed as I smashed the tree over and over.
"Greetings, MaraMelantha_089."
I turned around to see a familiar man with glowing white eyes full of power. "Herobrine..", I hissed politely.
Herobrine smiled. "I can give you what you want. All you have to do is listen to my offer.", he explained.
I gritted my teeth. "Very well.", I say, crossing my arms.
"You know how to escape, yes?"
I nod. "Someone who wasn't banned must bring a possession of the banned person back to a world. But I've looked hard for someone who wasn't banned. Nothing."
Herobrine grinned. "What I'm offering is a high position of power next to my spot. If you take my offer, I'll forcefully speed up the creation of a portal near a player, let you escape, and join me in the battle for revenge. You and I are similar in our needs.", he says.
I think hard. I want to rethink, but it's too tempting.
With a shaky voice full of excitement, I say two simple words.
"I-I accept."
(Grian's POV)
I sat bored in my hut.
This life is plain same.
Sighing, I open the door, and walk over to a nearby plain. I start making a statue of Taurtis and Sam. I miss them so much.
Suddenly, a 'Woosh'ing noise was heard behind me. A gray vortex opened up, like reality was ripping.
Anxious for excitement, I bound over to it. "I should tell X-I-zooma about this.", I think.
Ffpt! No way! I want some excitement! What if it closes when I come back?
Excitement bubbled in me, my heartbeat growing faster. I jumped in.
..(Time skip of about a minute as Grian falls through the portal)..
This new place was weird.
Obviously.
On the ground, there lay gray trees, and Nether Wart red grass. But I'm certain it'll be fine.
Laying on the ground as well was a jar of some sort with.. a firefly in it.
And so, I picked it up.
Time to explore now, for real.
Everywhere I went was a curiousity. Shiny white and sharp rocks, a green sky..
Going onwards, I hummed a happy tune.
Rolling, those happy tunes went, right out into these silent woods.
I can't wait to tell the other hermits about this place!
A golden feather from my wing flew off in the silent wind, drifting away gracefully.
Nimbly, I jumped over a puddle, still thinking of what I'd tell the other hermits.
After a few minutes, I stopped to rest.
A rustle was heard in some nearby dark blue ferns.
"Hello?", cautiously says the stranger who came out.
She had black hair held in a ponytail, and had light fair skin. She had mottled brown wings erected on her shoulders, and wore a light brown jacket. If I placed her on my Top Ten most beautiful or handsome people, she'd rank a two- second only to a certain shiny utensil.
"Hello!", I greeted. "Are you lost here too?"
The wings on the woman's shoulders relaxed. "Yes, actually. I was wandering around here for who knows how long, now."
"What is this place?"
The woman shrugged. "I think it's called the Forest of Fog. It's where many people are punished for their crimes. However, I was a mistake ignored in the long scripts of time. And you..."
"-fell from a portal!", I finished.
The woman nodded. "Ah... I see.. Just curious, where're you from?", she asked.
"I'm from this island called Hermitcraft!"
The woman's eyes widened. "R-really?", she inquired.
"Yeah!", I giggle.
Silence.
I look around the strange forest. "You don't seem to have much company around here..", I say.
"Well, it WOULD be nice to have some friends.", the woman says, a thoughtful gaze on her face.
"Maybe I can be your friend, my name's Grian!", I trill.
The woman chuckled, and rummaged through a small pocket in her jacket. She brings out a bracelet that has an owl shaped engravement on it. She slips it on my hand.
"Does this mean we're friends?", I ask her excitedly.
"Yes. Friends.", she replies, a small smile on her graceful face.
"Well, thank you for your gift! Bye bye- I-uh- don't know your name-"
Suddenly, she beat her wings forwards, causing me to fly into a tree. She holds me down, and I yelp and squirm.
"I'm sure Void has mentioned me a few times during his story telling, I'm MaraMelantha.", she hisses evilly, and I see black.
(Time skip two minutes)
I wake up near my statues. There is no more vortex.
I then suddenly realize that MaraMelantha has probably done something, and will probably do something to Hermitcraft.
I get myself on my feet as fast as I could, and start running for the small village we Hermits made. I need Mumbo. Iskall. Anyone.
I make it to X's hut, tears pouring from my eyes from fear. I slam open the door, and find X, Mumbo, and Iskall talking to each other.
"P-PORTAL!", I scream. "I WENT THROUGH IT, FOREST-"
I never finish as I saw gray cover my vision, and then black.
(Iskall's POV)
I yelp as Grian falls, and me and Mumbo pull Grian back up.
"Quick; put him on the table.", Xisuma commands.
We obey.
"Wha-What happened to him?", me and Mumbo whimper.
There is a black scar over his left eye.
X walks over to Grian, examining him, but his hand drops suddenly as his eyes rest on the new gold bracelet on his left hand.
"Mumbo," I say. "Get Doc."
Mumbo nods quickly, and scampers out.
I look back to Xisuma.
His eyes never leave the bracelet.
(YOO-HOO! 13 chapters! Also, did you spot the easter egg?
IF you didn't, the first letters of the first nineteen lines of Grian's POV (Except for the time skip) spell out, 'Its safe' and then once Grian jumps through, 'Too late Grian'. )
