Happy Valentine's day! If you have a partner, great! If you don't, we can be single together :3 

But yes, this is a little one shot about a scavenger hunt. There are a few ships mentioned but mostly it's Tango and a mystery someone. 

The shopping district was filled with couples and panicking partners who forgot about Valentine's day. There was love and flowers and pink and red everywhere. In fact there were few hermits who weren't doing something that day. 

Cub and Scar were casually dancing together in the middle of a path because why the heck not. Beef and Etho were hanging out at 3 Fox hole. Keralis and Bdubs were out for a little stroll in the shopping district. Hypno and xB were off having a double date with Jevin and Wels. Joe and Cleo, being the best friends they were, had given each other joke Valentine's and were laughing at all the gushy couples. Iskall had given Stress a beautifully made flower garland to wear around her neck, and Mumbo and Grian had pointed out that putting a flower garland around your lover's neck in some cultures meant marriage, causing both of them to choke on air. Xisuma, False, and Impulse had made a mini group and were up to some shenanigans, with TFC vibing with them. Even Doc, who wasn't one for mushiness or romantic gestures, had surprised Ren with flowers and an adorable Valentine's card.

All this just made Tango feel even more lonely in his not-so-little among us hole. Nobody had asked him to be their valentine, not even the one hermit who he liked the most. He wasn't even given a platonic Valentine! 

 "Well ain't this great? Another day of me and my redstone! Whooo..." He mumbled somewhat miserably. All of a sudden, a paper airplane whooshed down and nearly poked him in the eye. 

"oW! What the- who sent this?! iT neArlY bLINdEd mE!!" He yelped before unfolding the airplane. 

Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

Go to a diamond office,

For your next clue.

 "I- I have a secret admirer? Who would like this face..? But okay, this looks kinda fun. Might need help though." Tango hummed before grabbing his communicator and dialing Zedaph. 

"Hey Zed! You wouldn't believe this!!"

"What? You burnt down part of Impulse's base again?"

 "What- no that was one time, and besides, we rebuilt it perfectly after." 

 "I still think Impulse suspects us sometimes... But anyways what is it then?"

 "I have a secret admirer! Me!! And they left a bit of a scavenger hunt too. I was hoping you could help? My tiny brain can't figure this out on its own."

"Bold of you to assume that my 1 brain cell will help in any way whatsoever... but okay. I don't have anything else to do anyways."

"Great! See you!" Tango ended the call and waited for Zedaph to arrive. A few minutes later, the blond hermit arrived, a cheeky grin on his face. 

"So you've got an admirer, Mr. Tango? Oh I didn't realize you were such a catch!"

"Oh shut up," He snickered but blushed lightly, playfully punching Zed's arm. "Here's the note they gave."

Zed studied the note a bit and hummed. "Well that's probably Keralis's base. He wouldn't be your admirer though, right? He has Bdubs." 

"Right... Let's go there anyways, it says there's another clue." Tango took out a stack of rockets (non exploding :D ) and exited his Among Us hole. Zed and Tango both flew towards Keralis's base, or rather whole entire city, and landed in his office. Inside the office was a sign that had another clue.

When I look into your eyes,

I feel so very dizzy,

Go to the shifting shop,

That is always quite sneaky.

"Aww that's kinda cute." Tango murmured, brushing his hand against the wooden sign lightly. "They must've put some thought into this."

"Yeah, this is quite nice. Shall we go to the next one? Is that Shade- E- E's?"

"I think they meant Sneak- E- E's. Luckily I know where it is!" Tango spread his wings and flew off again, Zedaph following close behind. 

"I don't even know where Sneak- E- E's is." Zedaph laughed next to him. 

"Guess you didn't make this scavenger hunt then." Tango reasoned, though he felt a little pang when he said that. 

"I wonder who did? I mean, there's always the chance this is all a troll or prank."

"Maybe? Man, maybe I'm not as special as I thought!" Tango joked, even though he felt that he really would be upset if it was all a joke. Zed was probably right though. Who would secretly admire him, Tango, anyways?

 "Maybe. Oh, isn't this the place where to bought me some netherite stuff?" Zedaph exclaimed, approaching the build.

"Mhmm! And if you look upstairs, there's a shop made of shulkers." Tango entered the shop and went to the uppermost floor. Inside Sneak- E- E's was... Nothing. No clues or signs, just Etho's stock and shulker boxes. 

"Uuummm?" Tango looked around confused. He tried to open the boxes in the ceiling and was horrified when they opened. "These didn't open before- nOOoO-"

 "Wut?" Poor Zedaph didn't understand why Tango was upset. 

"We have to look through every. Single. Shulker. Here." Tango groaned, already opening another box. Zedaph opened a floor box and smiled, then was shocked, then angry. 

"Tango! There's only one fourth of a poem in here!"

"...welp."

A little while later, they had found another bit of paper. The two bits together read:

Go to the part of the forest,

That is most magical.

 "Is that all? Where in this magic forest would the next thing be??"

"Maybe it will be in the next paper bit we find?" Zedaph suggested. 

"Ughh."

"I found it, I found i- wait wHAT?" Tango stared at the now empty shulker box in disbelief. "It just disappeared. MY ADMIRER HAS HOPPERS ALL OVER THAT ARE MOVING THE PAPER AROUND HWJDKQOLA-"

 "I got it!" Zedaph waved a bit of paper around and Tango practically tackled him in a hug. 

"Yes, yes thank you!!" When Tango released him, Zed looked slightly red-faced. Tango snatched the paper and grew red faced for a different reason as he read it.

I couldn't come up with something that rhymes with magical lol ;P

 "I hate my secret admirer." Tango snarled, glaring at the paper. Zedaph snickered and went to leave the shop. 

"I think of Scar's base when I hear magic forest, so I guess we look there first."

A little while later, they had arrived and Scar's beautiful magic village seemed to shimmer even more beautifully than usual. However, there were many places the next clue could be, so they both split up to search. Tango was drawn to the middle of the village, where the surroundings were immaculately terraformed. He quickly found a lectern with a book on it, so his admirer must've had the same idea. 

Look, was all that was written on the first page. Tango curiously turned to the next page. Behind, was next.

"Look behind what?" He flipped to the next and final page.

Tango slowly turned around, expecting a banner saying jk lol or another clue or something. He gasped at the sight of Zed standing shyly with a bunch of red roses in his arms. 

"Be my Valentine?" He squeaked, a small nervous smile on his face. 

"I- yes!" Tango smiled widely and took the roses from his arms, inhaling their sweet scent. However, his eyes widened as he realized something.

"Wait- you made me hunt through shulkers and you didn't say a thing! yOU MONSTER!!" He screeched, tossing a rose at a cackling Zedaph. 

"I'm sorry I couldn't help it! You've got to admit, it was golden!!" Zedaph grinned. "But I wasn't lying, I really do like you." 

Tango smiled and kissed his cheek, causing the purple eyed hermit to freeze up. "I know you do, or else you wouldn't be blushing so hard. See you later Zed!"

He suppressed a smile looking at Zedaph's shell shocked expression. He looked back down at the roses, admiring their soft red petals.

That Valentine's Day turned out to be much better than he thought it would be.
