Xisuma quickly followed Gabriel to where he had mentioned. Immediately coming up, he could feel a sharp spike in Watcher magic already.
Gabriel suddenly landed back down on the ground, next to around at least 20 plus players.
X quickly followed down, landing. He looked at the big group of players. "Oh my lord." He exclaimed. The group of players all looked either sick, bruised and beaten and just down right looked terrible. Scanning over their codes also confirmed this further. Turning back to Gabriel, he wore a shocked expression. "How many." He asked in a shuttered tone.
The higher tier Admin looked back at XisumaVoid, looking him in the eye. "26, players. Youngest is 14, oldest is 52."
X cursed under his breath. He then scanned the 26 players again, before walking over to them.
Most of the players were unconscious, appearing sick, some were actually still conscious somehow. Appearing shocked and frightened; the majority of the conscious people were missing limbs.
Some of the older looking players were actually sitting up awake, though they appeared to be out of it.
Xisuma quietly moved over to one of the conscious people sitting up.
The person he had gone over to, had brown hair, dark blue eyes and he was wearing a blue shirt with an @ sign on it, along with glasses that sat on his face.
Xisuma crouched down in front of the person. "Hello? Can you hear me?" X asked quietly, waving his hand slightly in front of the persons face. "What's your name?"
The person appeared to be heavily spaced off, though he replied. "My name is Joe Hills." He stared down at the ground.
Xisuma took a breath before gently lifting Joe's head up with both his hands, scanning over him to read his vitals. "Nice to meet you Joe, I'm Admin Void."
Joe stared at Xisuma when he tilted his head up. He didn't reply for a moment. "Nice... to meet you too, Void." Joe addressed, sounding hesitant. He then reached up and took hold of the Admin's wrists, and pulled his hands off his face. His head returned tilted down. "There are others who need your help more than I."
X flinched, feeling Joe's hand grip firmly around his wrists. He clenched his own hands into fists before relaxing them again. He gave a defeated sigh. "Ok... but I'm coming back to you nevertheless." He challenged. With that, Xisuma stood up as Joe let go of him.
The Admin scanned around, then approached an unconscious player who was laying down next to a sitting player. The unconscious player seemed to be the youngest. Blond hair, black vest, black shorts and black dress shoes. This kid must have been part of a higher up class family. The kids skin also seemed to be being attacked by a purple colored poisoning.
Quietly, the Admin knelt down beside the unconscious player. He took off his glove and then gently felt over the kids forehead. Feeling for a temperature. "The poor kid is burning up." He thought mentally.
Suddenly to his surprise, the little kid half opened his eyes. Showing two dull looking blue eyes. The little boy stared up at Xisuma, half in a trace. "Are you an angel?" He asked, sounding delirious.
Xisuma smiled ever so slightly at the thought of being called an angel. But he sighed and corrected the kid. "No, I'm an Admin. Can you tell me your name?"
The kid's eyes fluttered shut before he managed to open them again. "Mumbo Jumbo... or just MJ for short."
"Nice to meet you, Mumbo. I'm Admin Void."
"Are you sure you're not an angel? You look like one." MJ claimed, his eyes shutting for a bit longer before he managed to open them once more, as if he were trying to keep himself awake.
Xisuma gently took hold of the little boy's hand. "I appreciate that, thank you. Now just rest, we're going to take care of you and we're going to make sure you're going to get all better again."
Mumbo muttered a couple words that were unintelligible. "Thank you, Mr. Void." He slurred out before falling unconscious once again.
X winced internally, but he couldn't dread on his current feelings now. He had to help these poor players.
Time Skip
Xisuma was now anxiously pacing around. They had built a kind of care center for the 26 players who had been infected so they had a place to stay for now. And supposedly some of the other admins were keeping tabs on them.
EX, or Xeno, was watching his older brother pace, appearing mildly annoyed by the constant action. "Xisuma, please, you're going to walk a path in the ground if you keep doing that."
The Admin stopped, fidgeting with his hands as he looked around. "I'm sorry I'm just... I don't know."
Xeno merely shook his head. "You're worried for those players. I know, I get it. They didn't deserve to be hurt the way they are and you feel responsible."
X shut his eyes tightly. "I'm an Admin, I should be able to do something for them! But I can't! Admin powers and Watcher magic are different forces!" X then yelled out in frustration, throwing his hands on his helmeted head. "Now those innocent players are going to have suffer curses for the rest of their lives!"
Xeno sighed sharply. "X, you need to calm down. Past is past and it blows. But you can't change the past when it already happened. That's why it's called, the past."
Xisuma groaned, shaking his head. "Save your lectures please, Xeno."
EX sighed, standing up and clapping his hands together. "Well if your so antsy about the players how about you go meet with them in that care center they've been placed in."
X flinched ever so slightly as his younger brother started to push him in that direction. "Wait now?"
"Yes, now. I'm sick of hearing and watching you have a mental crisis every hour. So you're gonna head over there and meet the damn 26 people." Xeno replied, pushing his older brother along.
Xisuma sighed sharply. "I'm not getting out of this, am I?"
"Ha! Nope!"
Person Switch
Iskall had been awake for awhile now. He had watched a bunch of other people wake up as well. None of them looked alright. They all looked sick.
He was currently sitting at the foot end of his bed that he had been placed on. To his left was a young looking boy who hadn't moved since Iskall had woken up, and to his right was a woman with short brown hair with white high lights in them who had been shifting every now and then. Both of them were dressed and appeared far nicer than he was.
Iskall was currently in jeans and a ripped green shirt. He had a patch over his left eye and his entire damn right arm was missing so it was just bandages wrapped around a nub on his shoulder.
Currently, around 7 other people were awake with him. An elderly looking gentlemen, a gentlemen with glasses, a woman with long blond hair, some kind of creeper hybrid player with one arm like himself, a man with blond hair and elf like ears, a slime humanoid and a man with wolf ears. These people were all sitting up at least.
The elderly man was looking up and around the room, appearing aware of his surroundings like Iskall was. The two then awkwardly met eyes for a second.
Iskall felt himself tense up as he quickly looked down to the floor.
After a moment, he glanced up again, seeing that the old man's gaze had shifted over to the little kid lying to the left of Iskall.
"Is he still alive?" He asked, not caring about some of the eyes that had looked over to him when he spoke.
Iskall hesitated, before looking to his left. "I..." he paused before slowly getting off his bed and approaching the little boy's bed. "I think I can see him breathing..." Iskall sucked in a deep breath before going and standing on the kids right.
The little boy had one arm crossed over his stomach and the other was lying at his side. Taking a moment, Iskall then reached and took hold of the kids arm, placing his thumb over the kid's wrist. He could still feel a pulse, and a closer inspection of the kids chest made it clear that he was still breathing.
"Yeah, he's-he's still alive." Iskall said, practically feeling the room relax. Iskall then gently let go of the little kid's arm. He went to turn away but froze when he saw two beedy red colored eyes staring at him. "Uhh..."
The little kid was awake. He then went and sat up, which immediately grabbed the attention of the other seven in the room. "Hello. I'm Mumbo Jumbo, what's your name?"
"Oh fuck." Iskall froze where he was for a second before replying. "I'm Iskall85."
The little kid, or Mumbo's blank facial expression shifted into a smile. "Nice to meet you Iskall!"
The room felt just a little bit lighter at the exchange.
