The crunching of grass filled the air with heavy breathing accompanying it. Weaving through the trees with a stone sword in hand a young man sprinted through the ever chilling night.
Faint hisses from creepers emerged from the silence of the dark when the man got too close, but they didn't explode. They didn't reveal the man's position.
The young man kept sprinting. Reaching the top of the tall hill he could feel the dryness in his throat from lack of water but he didn't dare to stop for a drink.
Breathing heavily, the young man stopped and looked over his shoulder, he could still see the small light from the torches. "I'm still not far enough." He thought before taking off down the hill again.
The young man kept running.
And running.
And running. Far, far away from his old civilization and far from the place he once was able to call home.

Awakening with a jolt, Grian shot up from where he had collapsed last night. His torch had gone out but luckily the sun was rising just over head to allow him to see.
He had ducked into a cave and spent the night in it with the light of a couple torches around him keeping him warm.
Eventually Grian stood up and gathered his burned out torches and placed them back in his inventory before gathering up his sword from the ground and hesitantly walking out of the cave he had taken refuge in; still obviously stiff from the tough rocky floor the cave offered.
Feeling the warmth of the sun, Grian stretched himself out before pulling out his compass and heading further north west. "Gotta keep going. Have to leave." Grian told himself, setting his pace as the sun continued to rise over his server.
For days and nights on end, Grian walked. Traveling further and further away.
His destination? The Far Lands.
They said they didn't wanna see him anymore. They said it straight to his face, so now they won't. They won't ever find him there. He wouldn't bother anyone again, wouldn't be a problem, a nuisance a pain. None of it. Not anymore.
Footsteps were now the only thing Grian could hear. Footsteps.

Steps towards the edge of his server.

Grian could feel his body failing him as the world started to glitch out around him. He could feel himself start to slowly fall apart before pulling itself together again, allowing him to continue his march towards the Far Lands.
The glitches continued and Grian kept on treading on.
Grian turned his head up once again to take in his surroundings before feeling himself fall apart again, unable to pull himself back together again. He was so weak, so numb, so heartbroken and so cold.
Grian felt his body continue fall into a void like area, feeling the glitches more intensely, like it had a heartbeat. Had he not had been so exhausted, Grian would've taken the time to try and understand how the Void had managed to pull him in and how it felt so alive and so active, but he didn't. He just let the Void take him as he closed his eyes, pull him down and away from the world he had known for so long.
The young man suddenly felt a bunch of warmth surround him. Still so tired, Grian struggled to open his eyes. Did he even want to?
Yes, apparently.
Taking another second, the Admin fluttered his eyes open coming face to face with another player. Someone he had never seen before along with a dark abyss surrounding himself and this person.
The player was floating in front of him, and this player was wearing a full battle suit of armor. Armor that Grian didn't recognize. The player had a helmet on their head which only allowed Grian to see their eyes.
This other player stared at Grian, their eyes feeling as if they were piercing right through him.
The armored player then reached out one of their gloved hands.
Grian felt the soft fabric touch against his forehead and he instantly felt an odd sense of security swell within his chest. An off feeling of trust.
"Shhh... close your eyes, fellow Admin. You are safe." The person said in a calm and soothing tone.
Grian felt his eyelids become heavy again as he felt himself succumb to unconsciousness.

"Egg-Suma, who is this person?"
Grian felt his hazy mind return to the conscious world. His eyelids slowly parting open to allow him to see blurry people and objects.
"I'm not sure, but he was just drifting in the void when I found him and his status said Admin."
"What was an Admin doing in the void? Other than doing Admin stuff that is."
"I'm not sure MJ, I'm not sure."
"Get some rest, X. You don't want any creatures being drawn to our camps due to someone not getting enough bedrest."
X, Grian deciphered, merely laughed. "Ok, but I'll remember that next time you try to pull several all nighters in a row."
MJ laughed quietly back as the sounds of footsteps walked across wooden tiles on the floor, slowly fading away as X supposedly left.
Grian could faintly make out a tall silhouette of a person. Maybe it was this MJ person who had offered to stay here with him.
Despite that, MJ quietly walked around the room. Audibly going through chests and doing some occasional crafting.
Grian then fluttered his eyes shut once again, falling asleep again to the sounds of fancy dress shoes walking calmly across the floor.

Warmth flooded over Grian, causing him to fully open his eyes with no struggle. With his vision cleared, the blonde male slowly sat up from the bed he had been placed on. He was currently only wearing a short sleeved shirt on with his jeans on and he was covered by a nice warm blanket. Which he obviously preferred over the chilly cool air of the room.
The former admin took in his surroundings.
"Medium sized room. Fairly decorated and well lit up. This must be someone else's room then." Grian thought, instantly becoming swarmed with different questions.
Where was he? What was the date? How many more people were here? How big of a camp was here? All those questions ran through Grian's mind at once, and he almost missed the sounds of footsteps returning to the room he was in.
Grian's attention directed towards a doorway, where someone else was standing. A pretty familiar stranger.
"Oh, you're awake now." The armored man said, sounding surprised yet also relieved. "I'm so sorry that no one was here when you first awoke, we got pulled away from here when a green dragon attacked one of us."
Grian swallowed, his throat was dry and it sort of hurt to breathe at the moment. "Its fine..." he rasped out.
The armored man then pulled out a canteen, walking up to Grian and handing it to him. "Here, this might help that throat of yours."
Grian took the canteen eagerly, drinking the water inside. He felt instant relief as soon as the liquid hit his mouth, breathing a mental sigh of relief as his thirst bar filled.
The helmeted person continued to speak. "You must have a fair share of questions."
Grian pulled the canteen away from his mouth, licking his lips. He nodded. "Yeah... first question, who are you?"
"Oh, right! I'm Eh-SumaVoid, the Admin of the Hermitcraft server. Aka the server your in right now." Admin Void seemingly smiled behind his helmet. The only way Grian could tell was because of the man's eyes that were visible from behind a purple visor.
Grian gave a single nod. "Ok... Eh-Suma. Nice to meet you. I'm Grian."
The servers admin chuckled. "Nice to meet you too."
Grian looked down slightly, pausing before speaking again. "How'd I get here?"
Admin Void gave a defeated sigh. "I'm not sure. You had been pulled from your own server and somehow crossed paths with me."
Grian frowned slightly, looking up at the other Admin. "Why'd you bring me here? Why didn't you just-" Grian forced himself to cut off, turning his head away.
Admin Void seemed confused. "Why didn't I just leave you? Well I couldn't do that, you were in bad shape and I couldn't allow myself to leave someone in the void knowing I could do something."
The blonde haired man took a deep breath. "... Thank you..." he looked back at the Hermitcraft Admin.
Void gave a small nod. "Anyways, let's get you into something warmer. The fall is slowly ending and it will soon be winter."
Grian shivered, once again noticing the cold. He nodded silently in agreement.
