//Hels Really Wants To Switch Brothers//Crack + Fluff
This was supposed to be pure crack, but the beginning was too fluffy, and I wanted to keep it. Tbh, the start is better than the rest of the story, and being 1k words long, could count as its own story lol. Anyways, enjoy :)
Helsknight_ joined the game
It was a surprise to see that again, especially after the eighth season of Hermitcraft, where they thought he had been destroyed. How come it was back? The question had rang out through the hermits, although nobody cared enough to investigate. Evil Xisuma had come back, and he has changed. For real. So, nobody really was phased by the message other than the unexpectancy.
Nobody cared. Well, except for one.
Evil Xisuma was overjoyed to see the message, knowing for sure he'd get to see his old friend again. They could just be buddies, and not have to be plotting against a threat that wasn't real. He ran as quick as his long legs could carry him, desperately trying to remember where spawn is.
After five minutes or so, too long for his liking, the voidling ran into his friend, who surprisingly hadn't ran off, Helsknight. Evil X watched as Hels sat there clutching his head as steam radiated off of his dark grey-ish, gold-lined armour. After a while, Evil X shook his head out of his thoughts, and walked over to the dark knight. He made sure to be slow with his movements, as to not come off as a threat, and give time for his friend to leave is dazed state.
A few more minutes had passed before the netherborn looked up at Evil X, his bright red eyes staring up at him, although more-than-slightly covered by his thick black hair. Curiosity shined through, as it had been the first time it'd seen his dear friend in a long time. For one, Evil Xisuma didn't look like a total wreck, and he looked much less pale from what he could tell. He also had his visor off- probably to look more friendly to it- with a small warm smile on his lips. It was flabbergasting, to say the least. The previously-threating voidling had changed, as is the 'curse' of the Hermitcraft server. Hels wondered if he would end up the same, it doubted it though, as Hels had been much more dense then Evil Xisuma, so it was unlikely.
"Wow, you are different" Hels breathed, breaking the silence between them.
Evil X almost cackled, hitting Hels' shoulder, somehow finding the latter's confusion funny. He soon calmed a bit, but his laughter burst out again, after seeing the offended look Hels wore on his face.
"Really?" Ex choked out between laughs.
"Yeah, different TERRIBLE" Hels shouted. Well, the last part at least.
"And you look the same, TERRIBLE" Ex responded, finally calming down again, hoping to humour him, but also not really.
Hels' eyebrows furrowed in frustration, lacking any amusement whatsoever. The voidling, in return, knocked of its helmet and ruffled his hair, earning a punch in the shoulder. The netherborn pushed him away, rushing to get the helmet back on his head.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! It's just been so long, why not have a laugh, eh?" Evil X exclaimed, trying to get some sort verbal response out of Hels.
"You have changed a lot, it's almost as if you're a completely different person!" Hels said, almost frustratingly. "You've gone soft!"
Evil X sighed, "I'm not soft, I'm just friendlier. I can still beat anyone who comes in my way if I wanted to, I just choose not to".
"Oh really? Prove it.", Hels challenged. He always challenged to either have his point proven, or disproven. Bad idea.
Evil Xisuma proceeded to tackle him, making sure his grip on his hands and feet did not falter as they wrestled each other. Hels let out a small laugh as he tried to overtake the other (hotter) void brother, realising his words were indeed a mistake.
What the two didn't hear, was the sound of rockets being fired, followed by hard boots hitting the cold ground.
"Awh, hi! I knew I'd find you here, Ex, you absolute simp.", The familiar voice of the servers admin rang through the fighting and rough grunting of the two younger players, making them halt to a stop. If you were any other hermit, hearing that out of context, you might get the wrong idea. XisumaVoid, however, knew the both of them well enough to know that all they were doing was having a cat fight.
"Uhhhh, hello, brother of- of mine! What- what are you doing here so suddenly?" Evil Xisuma stuttered out, clearly embarrassed from being caught in their little ordeal. He was lucky X wasn't the type of hermit to immediately go spread the word- a gossip hermit, if you will. Well, he hoped so.
Xisuma chuckled, knowing just how to embarrass his younger brother. "Well, I just wanted to come find you, seeing if you'd gone to your lovely boyfri- I mean friend."
Evil Xisuma was about to come up with some snarky response, something to get him to stop bothering their reunion, but he felt Hels' hands behind his shoulders, and his face stuffed into his upper back. Hels' was obviously trying to hide from X, whether is was out of embarrassment or because he was seen as a threat was unknown, but the latter was probably it. That action surprised him a bit, as Hels would've gone straight to threatening him, or attacking him, but Hels probably didn't have any sort of weapon, or any decent armour, so he could only hide behind somebody who did have those things, and was also considerably larger than him.
Xisuma took the hind and bent down to its level, taking his visor off and making sure he had no armour on. It reminded him of when he found Grian for the first time, a lost puppy of sorts. Albeit it was strange seeing the netherborn knight acting this way, in contrary to how he himself would expect a dark knight to act in the face of danger, Xisuma couldn't judge. It was good that this opportunity came to him, so he could at least get Hels to trust him.
Evil Xisuma nudged Hels a little to get his attention, so he could face his brother. Hels only looked up slightly at first, eyeing down the admin, trying to scare him a little, even in the state he's in. After a little encouraging, Hels came out from behind Evil Xisuma, still a little wary, but he was doing much better than before.
"Hello, Helsknight! I believe I haven't properly introduced myself to you yet, I am XisumaVoid, admin of the Hermitcraft server. If you have some issues, or you need somebody to talk to, I am always an option!", Xisuma declared, putting on an even warmer smile, if that was even possible.
Hels only hummed in response, not too sure whether he was friend or foe. Whether Xisuma was telling the truth or deceiving him. Hels knew that Evil X trusted him, so that was a good sign. Everything was so confusing to the knight, making him feel small, and weak. It wasn't like that in his realm, as everyone saw him as strong. The strongest! Even if they hated him. It was scary. Hels didn't like feeling small.
He hated it.
Xisuma slightly inched closer, seeing what would happen. Hels, all of a sudden, swiftly swung his arm out, almost smacking X square in the face. It surprised the voidling, sure, but he knew what it meant, as he closed his own arm in Hels', and shaking it. Hels didn't make eye contact, nor did its expression show any signs of comfort, but it was okay.
It was an improvement.
...a few months later...
Evil Xisuma had noticed Hels change on his time in the Hermitcraft server. Hels had become much more social around some of the hermits. It wasn't the best, and even a little painful seeing Hels talk to people when it didn't know how. Hels still didn't entirely trust the Hermits, but it was cute seeing him try. But... Even though Ex's feelings were pretty irrelevant when it came to Hels' relationships, seeing him hang around so many other people, watching him be able to keep up with their chaotic energy, it made him jealous. It was embarrassing, too. Evil X even kept a list of who Hels got along with. The list included:
-Doc???
-Scar
-Team ZIT
-Mumbo
-Ren
-Stress
And....
-Xisuma
He'd been getting close to them... especially Xisuma...
Was it how X introduced himself? Did Hels really trust him that much? Evil X didn't know, so he started plotting revenge. Sure, he'd changed, but not that much...
So, he started to hang out with Wels more often, hoping that it would have the same effect on Hels, so it would consider hanging with him more....
Ex often wondered what was wrong with him. This. This is what's wrong with him.
...
It turns out Wels wasn't as bad as what he had previously thought, but it also didn't seem like Hels cared that much. Sure it snarled whenever Ex did as much as mentioned his name, but Hels didn't care about who the voidling hung out with. It made Ex feel guilty about it, so he decided to ask why he cared so much about X.
Evil X walked around the shopping district, assuming Hels would be there. He was right. Evil X and Hels noticed each other, and right away they tackled each other, as it was their way of greeting the other.
"Heyyyy Hels, it has been a while, hasn't it?" Evil X laughed, hoping Hels would share at least some of the enthusiasm as he did.
"Yeah!" Hels said. "Socialising is so hard, I'm not sure how much longer I can keep up the enthusiastic façade much longer. I told this to X already, and he said I will get comfortable if I keep trying, but I just think differently."
Evil X scoffed at hearing that Hels went to Xisuma about it first, but in all honesty, he wouldn't know what to do about it either.
"What, you don't like me hanging around your brother? You have been hanging around Wels lots, so I thought you wouldn't care." Hels explained, noticing the obvious scoff Ex just pulled.
"I- I- I do like you hang- But-" Ex tried to stammer something out, but he failed to do so, just a string of stuttering words put together randomly.
Hels didn't take the hint, but instead, wanted to ask him something.
"Hey, Ex? I wanted to ask you something."
"What?" Ex asked, startled by the sudden question.
"Can I steal your brother?"
"What."
"Can I steal him. Like- we can swap. Wels can be your new brother and Xisuma can be mine"
The question was not something to be expected coming from Hels, so it definitely had Ex questioning him.
"Why?"
"Well- for starters, he is much better to me than Wels is, and he also taught me lots of stuff on how to do 'good' stuff"
"Wha- No!"
Hels stared at Ex angrily, not knowing you can't swap brothers, just like that. It just isn't how it worked.
"I guess being siblings with you wouldn't be so bad, because I am not letting you steal Xisuma." Evil X explained to Hels, again.
"No, I don't wanna be siblings with you, only X" Hels scoffed.
"Why nooot?"
"Because I like you."
"What?"
"What."
