Photograph
I'll admit, the transitions on this one are kinda shit.
Some sweet and fluffy Rendoc for the soul
This is a songfic of 'Photograph' by Ed Sheeran, wattpad wont let me link it :(

"Loving can hurt, loving can hurt sometimes.."
Ren's fingers danced along the frets and strings of his guitar, gently plucking the notes to a simple melody. His buttery smooth voice paired with his guitar nicely, and in that moment, Doc knew exactly why he was in love.
"But it's the only thing that I know.."
Call Doc a romantic, hopeless, whatever you want- he was in love. God- how could he not be?
Ren looked perfect- perfect.
His muscular frame was dusted with fire and moonlight, and now- as he sat crisscrossed over a picnic blanket, a smattering of stars above his head- Doc couldn't have asked for more.
"When it gets hard, you know it can get hard sometimes.."
A small smile bled onto Ren's lips at the lyric, and the hybrid couldn't help but smile in tandem, taking a long look at Ren, how he was now.
He wouldn't ever forget it.
"It is the only thing that makes us feel alive.."
Doc's mechanical eye seemed bright as it looked at his boyfriend, sprawled out on his stomach, and honestly- how could Doc be anything but brighter than usual?
He was starstruck, awestruck, or just simply.. struck.
Bedazzled, enchanted, awed, bathing in the warm feeling of a simple tune.
"We keep this love in a photograph.. We made these memories for ourselves.."
Photograph! Doc kicked himself for not thinking of that sooner, his eye shuttering a few times as it took pictures.
Doc made a mental note to print them out later, but for now?
He'd live in the moment.
"Where our eyes are never closing..
Hearts are never broken..
And time's forever frozen still.."
Ren couldn't help the smile that crept onto his lips, feeling weightless as the chorus of the song churned out of his guitar.
He was nothing short of euphoric, the love of his life laying next to him while he plucked strings- singing a gentle tune of love to the man who deserved it the most.
Fuck.
If Doc was struck, Ren was over the moon.
"So you can keep me, inside the pocket of your ripped jeans.."
They loved each other. They couldn't help but love each other.
If life was a cloth, theres was woven in sync, patterns of swirling color and vibrance splattered across each, patterns that didn't make sense until put together.
Ren was singing about a photograph, but his life was more like an anniversary slideshow.
As long as he was with Doc, all he saw was rights in the world. The sweet, the bittersweet, the sugar coated haze of lazy sunday mornings, the sharp sour of crying together on a couch, only to melt into the caramel-coated grace of catharsis.
The only thing Ren wanted was to wrap himself in Doc's arms until he was candied in the sugary embrace of his lover.
"Holding me closer 'til our eyes meet.."
Doc let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding, organic eye flickering up to Ren's.
The ebony orb was wide with wonder, and even though Ren wasn't looking back at him, he sure as hell drank up every motion the younger made.
Every time his chestnut lashes grazed his cheeks, the way his lips danced as he sung..
"You won't ever be alone, wait for me to come home.."
The music was in no way perfect.
Ren's guitar was slightly out of tune, his voice was scratchy from too much wine, and his singing was far deeper than it should have been, but Doc couldn't have given a flying fuck.
Song be damned- he'd murder Ed Sheeran if he had to. Ren's voice, his slightly out of tune guitar, the way his fingers occasionally fumbled over the strings, they all made the song so much better. The imperfections made the tune unique.
The song was messy, but it was Ren's.
No word could describe how beautiful that was to Doc.
"And if you hurt me.. That's okay baby, only words bleed.."
Never- never- would Doc have even dreamed of hurting Ren. He would sooner throw himself to the sharks. In fact, even the thought of his precious Ren hurt had his heart throbbing.
He sat himself up, metallic hand clenched to a fist.
He'd protect Ren to his dying breath.
"Inside these pages you just hold me..
And I won't ever let you go..
Wait for me to come home.."
Ren was on autopilot, lyrics spilling from his mouth as his fingers spun a tune.. and his mind? It wandered.
Doc..
He could feel himself smile at the name alone. He wouldn't trade the world for that idiot, and in fact, he would sooner see the globe burn than let anything happen to him.
To this.
Gentle, fire-lit nights that oozed romance.
Soft, cheesy tunes that brought a blush to his cheeks.
Slow, sweet heartbeats to the rhythm of their love.
Perfect, bedazzling smiles painted across each others lips..
He could feel himself start to tear up.
"Love can heal, loving can mend your soul.. And it's the only thing that I know, know.."
All Doc could do was stare.. stare at those eyes as they filled with sappy, romantic tears, those lips as they drew themselves in a smile so sweet it cracked permafrost..
And Doc's limbs moved on their own.
I swear it will get easier.. Remember that with every piece of you..
The kiss wasn't very well put together.
Chapped lips brushed against each other, tongues slipping in and out of control as they guzzled each others saliva.
Hm, and it's the only thing we take with us when we die..
Ren's guitar laid forgotten to his side as Doc pushed him to the ground, the kiss never breaking as they tried to shove air in through their noses.
Eventually, they broke apart gasping, Ren's arms lay limply around Doc's broad figure, coco eyes blown wide as they stared into Doc's.
Neither could think of anything to say for a few seconds, just the sounds of crickets, a crackling fire, and their breathing.
You can fit me inside the necklace you got when you were sixteen.. Next to your heartbeat where I should be..
Doc rested his organic hand over Ren's heart, fingertips feeling the pressure from just how hard the other's heart was slamming against his ribs.
"God, Ren.. I.. I don't know what to say.."
Keep it deep within your soul
Ren moved his hand so it was over Doc, a light blush creeping to his cheeks at just how damn in love he was.
This was a memory he'd treasure forever.
His fingers gently grasped Doc's, desperately wanting to show some affection, but at a loss for words.
When I'm away, I will remember how you kissed me.. Under the lamppost back on Sixth street
"You're just so damned perfect," Doc was near breathless as he tried to string together a sentence.
"Ich liebe dich," he murmured gently, feeling his own heartbeat swell.
And suddenly, he knew.
Hearing you whisper through the phone, 'Wait for me to come home'
"Marry me."
