Summary: Carrying a cat and escaping from a storm, Jevin finds himself in the one and only Ice Queen's base, though today she seems more hot than cold.

A/N: We got a request-ish? From HermitcraftSnake , who wanted a Jevin and Stress ship. Jess? Strevin?

—————

Jevin was wondering through the shopping district, rushing to the Nether portal when he saw something shivering under a tree. He looked at the nearby portal and debated to leave whatever it happened to be but ran and grabbed it, holding it to observe what it was before running back to the portal.

The animal was sopping wet, and once he could see it better than under a tree that didn't have very good shelter, he noticed it was a kitten. He glanced around at the portals and ran into one of them, being met with stone floors and walls. "Hello? Anyone home?"

Jevin pressed the shaking kitten closer against his chest, stroking its small head gently with two fingers. "Hello?" He called out again, cautiously taking a step forward.

"Who is it?" A cheerful and inquisitive voice called from another room.

"Uh, Jevin. Mind if I hang here for a bit?" He walked to the direction of the voice, seeing a small person with a pink jacket apear from a corner.

"Are you cold?" She asked, her eyes trailing down to what was in his arms. "Oh gosh, what did you find? Is it ok?"

"Its a little chilly, I think, but other than that it's not hurt." Jevin stated, holding the kitten up with a hand wrapped around its waist to not drop it.

"Poor baby!" Stress cooed. She reached forward, gently patting the small animal. "She looks so thin! Let's get her cleaned up." She gingerly took the kitten from Jevin.

"Can I help?" Jevin asked, following her.

"Of course!"

Stress ran into a spacious room with two couches near a fireplace, a rug in between the couches with a coffee table on the rug. She opened a wardrobe near the fireplace and pulled out some towels, handing one to Jevin and wrapping the kitten with one.

The kitten gave a happy meow as Stress sat it gently on the couch next to Jevin. "I'll bring some hot beverages, just a second."

She rushed off into another room, and quickly came back with a bowl and a cup filled with warm milk. "Drink up."

She put the bowl on the coffee table and gave the cup to Jevin. "Anywho, Jevin, what were you doing in that storm anyway?"

Jevin idly fiddled with the cup in his hands, his gaze resting on the little cat. "Ah, just...lonely, I guess. Wanted to go for a walk and clear my mind." He shook his head quickly. "It's not important."

Stress sat down beside him, placing a hand on his shoulder sympathetically. "If you want to talk about it..."

"I just didn't really have anything to do, but everyone else did." He sighed, looking at the kitten with a sad smile.

"Why didn't you ask me? I'm always up for chilling with anyone." Stress chuckled, Jevin giving her a playful glare for that pun.

"Well, I-" he sighed, leaning back on the couch.

"Sometimes, I just feel left out. Ya know?" Jevin spoke, staring at his cup of milk. "Everyone's got these ideas, always up with something and just having fun with each other but sometimes, it feels as if you guys forget about me because... Well, I'm too boring, I guess?" Jevin let out a sigh and pushed down a feeling of worthlessness. "I'm sorry to burden you with this, Stress. I just got a lot on my mind."

"No, no! It's fine." Stress said. "I know how you feel. I get left out of things sometimes too."

She pulled Jevin into a tight hug, giving him a pat on the back and spoke with a sad tone, "We can be left out together."

"You're a good friend, Stress." Jevin smiled slightly.

"Happy ta." Stress shrugged. She scooted closer to Jevin and rested her head on his shoulder. "You're slimy."

Jevin quickly scooted back, worried he had disgusted her. "Uh, sorry-"

"No, it's okay!" Stress poked Jevin once in the arm and watched her finger bounce back "It's kinda cool."

The small cat mewled for their attention, putting itself under Jevins arm and sitting in his lap. Stress squealed and pet it, the tiny animal leaning into her hand and purring quietly.

Jevin gave a small giggle, whispering, "It's almost as adorable as you..."

"What was that?" Stress looked to him, not moving her hand from the cat.

If Jevin was any other blood related being, he'll be a red blushing mess. However, that was not the case as he is a slime being.

He just simply glanced to the side in embarrassment at Stress hearing his little unintentional flirt. He needs to learn on who to keep certain thing in his mind.

"Shit," he muttered as Stress giggled with a small blush on her face.  Should he come clean? Or just play it off as a joke?

"Jevy, whatcha finkin'?"

Jevin huffed, petting the kitten when she moved her hand from it.

"I-- Stress." He gulped, grabbing her hands in his.

He started to mentally scream in fear as he looked around for an answer.

"Well...the cat—the cat is just...adorable..." He quietly answered.

The nearby feline decided to crawl up onto Stress' lap. She took one hand off Jevin and gently petted the animal.

"Aw, now the cat gets more affection than me?" Jevin asked, pretending to me offended.

"Your ego is too big," Stress laughed. "Don't worry, you big blob. I still like you."

Jevin started over thinking that. *Does she mean, like me as a friend or like me like me?*

Stress glanced over at him. "You okay? You look conflicted."

"I-I-I-I–" Jevin stuttered, becoming the slime hybrid equivalent of an app glitching out. Badly. "Yup! I'm fiNE," Jevin answered, his voice cracking near the end of his sentence.

Stress narrowed her eyes at him in confusion but said nothing, she continued petting the feline.

"Where's my love and affection?" Jevin asked, half joking, half serious.

"Aww, you poor slime." Stress moved her body closer to Jevin's. "There. Better?"

*Much better.* Jevin thought. Out loud he said, "Yeah," trying to sound casual.

Stress giggled and leaned her head onto Jevin's shoulder with a small smile on her face, still stroking the little kitten.

"She's so cute." Jevin said.

"I know..." Stress then stroked the thing over it's head.

Taking opportunity of this moment, Jevin smirked. "I didn't mean the cat."

"O-oh." Stress turned a light shade of pink. How did she manage to look cute when blushing? Jevin looked like a red mess.

"If I'm cute, you must be the cutest," Stress responded.

Jevin immediately froze and rethought his life choices.

"U-uh," Jevin stuttered as Stress went on.

"You must be a plushie because I want to hug you and never let go," she continued.

"Y-you're flirting with me-?"

"I'm not flirting. I'm just being extra friendly to someone who is extra attractive."

Jevin's mind basically went blue screen and he unknowingly slowly became a puddle of slime. Of course, Stress immediately noticed this and held back her laughter as she tried to find a way to tell Jevin that. "Hey, you're melting."

Jevin, now as a pure puddle of blue slime only let his face form back just to say: "Then maybe turn off your heat!"

"But, I don't have heat!" Stress giggled. "Here, why don't we walk—or blob back to the kitchen."

Jevin blobbed back to the kitchen.

He was still too embarrassed from Stress's comments earlier.

"Want me to put you in the fridge?" Stress cooed, chuckling when Jevin seemed to shake his head by... moving side to side.

"N-no...I'll be fine. You have ice, right? Can I have some?" Jevin asked, avoiding eye contact with the Ice Queen herself. The cat sauntered into the kitchen, mewling in surprise at the blob on slime on the floor.

Stress chuckled and pulled some ice out of a box and gave it to him, curious about what he was planning to do.

He took the ice and gooped on one of the blocks, the ice queen giggling as he had some trouble placing another block, but he eventually got it. After a few minutes he was solid enough to get back to his normal form, not without Stress giggling at his struggles, though.

"Finally!" Jevin said, feeling accomplished as he wiggled out the remaining part of his sweatshirt from inside him. He yanked it on and reformed to a human form again.

"Ah, that was funny." Stress said, gasping for breath.
Jevin stuck out his tongue and collapsed on the couch in exhaustion. Reforming yourself was hard.

The little kitten hopped up onto Jevin, meowing anxiously as it wobbled on him. Stress couldn't help but "aww" quietly to herself, crossing her arms and leaning against the doorway. She panicked when the cat started sinking into Jevin.

After removing the cat from the slime's chest, she let Jevin rest. The day would've been long for him and she knew he'd need sleep. Looking outside the window, she smiled as she noticed the sun was shining and the storm was no more.
